Is there any such thing as free will? Is everything in life predetermined? Does God play dice with the universe? Questions that intrigue seekers of the truth, are answered with great insight, sincere earnestness and absolute clarity in Ramesh's typical free-flowing dialogues, spiced with his delightful good humor, during the morning 'satsangs' or meetings with visitors from all over the world. Through his teaching, Ramesh exposes the sense of personal doership as the root cause of all suffering. He describes how the process of this simple understanding can lift the burden of a life of struggle, and the peace and tranquility that can arise when one learns to accept totally what life offers, at any given moment, with grace and ease. When asked how long it takes to grasp this understanding, Ramesh answered, "Three Days. Three Days!" So, here is a taste of a modern sage's daily talks, over three days, with visitors at his residence in Mumbai.

The Ultimate Understanding, is, according to Ramesh himself, "a book containing the full essentials of the philosophy of Advaita, or Non-duality (Unicity). It is perhaps the most explicitly expressed book on this complex subject. What is the ultimate understanding? That there is no one to understand anything." Recognized as one of the foremost contemporary sages, married and father of three, and a banker who retired from the top of his profession, Ramesh could be considered a householder Guru. In his latest book, Ramesh shares openly, poignantly, and with stunning humility, how a sage lives his life. Backed by the total conviction of the final understanding of a true Master, and at the same time presented from the perspective of "life as we know it," this treasure of Advaita is unrivalled in its unique conceptual expression of the highest Truth, delivered with fundamental wisdom, simplicity, and clarity - and with Ramesh's widely-loved gaiety and humor. Ramesh elaborates his own concepts with those of his Guru, Nisargadatta Maharaj, the Buddha, Ramana Maharshi, selected Hindu scriptures, several Taoist Masters and Wei Wu Wei, all serving as pointers to the Truth, to the ultimate understanding. While the book is a compilation of such classic themes as the nature of the phenomenal manifestation including the human being, the concept of space-time, temporality and Intemporality, the Guru, free will and non-volitional living, enlightenment and Self-realization, the Impersonal Energy - the Source, Noumenon or God, and conclusively, 'Consciousness is all there is', Ramesh explicitly summarizes that ultimately what he is talking about is "the most important thing in your life: peace and harmony in your life." A rare gift to anyone and everyone seeking insight into how life happens, The Ultimate Understanding is perhaps the pinnacle of Ramesh's writing. The Ultimate Understanding, heralds the total message he has to convey. What else remains can only be the final understanding, the final Truth, the silence of Unicity.
The building of the no. 1 newspaper empire in India was like an architect ground plan – Ramesh Chandra Agarwal laid the foundation edition by edition, city by city, state by state, going into the den of the mightiest and slaying them without fear. That quality of never cowering was an inheritance from his father. Ramesh Chandra blended it with an unparalleled taste for risk-taking and a thirst for venturing into the unknown, throwing this molotov cocktail at his rivals who stood mocking the new entrants before it hit them. In 35 short years, he turned a modest family-owned newspaper into the prime choice of readers In 12 states with 64 editions, and built an empire with a turnover of Rs 5, 000 crore. But Ramesh Chandra Agarwal’s biggest professional achievement was to revolutionise the Hindi newspaper. Replacing the pure, undistilled Hindi of the discerning litterateur with popular, colloquial words that made an easy connect, he gave the Hindi newspaper a hitherto unknown respect – to heave its chest and play the game like a champion. This is a champion’s story.

While the rest of the world reels under a severe financial crisis, India's microfinance sector enjoys an unprecedented boom. Why on earth are people investing such huge amounts of money in an obscure industry, especially at the time of global recession? And why is Wall Street suddenly so interested in India's poor? That is exactly what Robert Bradlee, senior correspondent with The New York Post, sets off to investigate, along with his journalist friend, Chandresh. Little does he know that his search for a scoop would lead him through a complex multi-pronged web of deceit, fraud, manipulation and financial crime, remote controlled from distant lands by an entire chain of financial sector stakeholders. Gripping, racy and meticulously researched, this financial thriller weaves in and out of the affluent world of high-powered boardrooms and the gruelling poverty of the remotest villages of India, to reveal the devastating truths that often lurk behind "good intentions.
India is one of the emerging markets that pose a unique set of challenges to marketers. The importance of the context and the usefulness of concepts in the Indian context is the core proposition of the book. The diversity of a mix of factors such as cultural aspects, lifestyles, demographics and unbranded offerings make consumer behaviour a fascinating study. This book focuses on the behavioural principles of marketing and its application to branding in the Indian context. * Consumer behaviour concepts associated with branding * A combination of recent and traditional examples reflecting the application of behavioural concepts * Touch of reality boxes to indicate context-based examples * Caselets and cases drawn from real-life situations * Research findings associated with the Indian context * Topical issues in consumer behaviour like cultural aspects, digital marketing and experiential branding
The primary aim of this monograph is to present the current research efforts that have gone into/or going on in the systematic design of real-time programs. Such an effort would help researchers and users in the area to get a clear picture of the issues of specification, verification and design of real-time reactive programs. It will clearly enable us to identify languages that can be used for different kinds of applications. Obviously, in an upcoming area like this, this presentation is far from complete. The quintessence of the monograph can be captured by the following question:How can we design and develop Robust Reactive (real-time) Programs? We address this question in this monograph through the various underlying issues listed, such as characteristics of real-time/reactive programs, reactive programming languages, verification and refinements.
The text bridges the gap between academic concepts and marketing practice. The theory is blended with apt real-life case studies that would enable the reader to get an integrated view of how brands could make use of marketing concepts to formulate strategies.

Analysis on Symmetric spaces, or more generally, on homogeneous spaces of semisimple Lie groups, is a subject that has undergone a vigorous development in recent years, and has become a central part of contemporary mathematics. This is only to be expected, since homogeneous spaces and group representations arise naturally in diverse contexts ranging from Number theory and Geometry to Particle Physics and Polymer Chemistry. Its explosive growth sometimes makes it difficult to realize that it is actually relatively young as mathematical theories go. The early ideas in the subject (as is the case with many others) go back to Elie Cart an and Hermann Weyl who studied the compact symmetric spaces in the 1930's. However its full development did not begin until the 1950's when Gel'fand and Harish Chandra dared to dream of a theory of representations that included all semisimple Lie groups. Harish-Chandra's theory of spherical functions was essentially complete in the late 1950's, and was to prove to be the forerunner of his monumental work on harmonic analysis on reductive groups that has inspired a whole generation of mathematicians. It is the harmonic analysis of spherical functions on symmetric spaces, that is at the focus of this book. The fundamental questions of harmonic analysis on symmetric spaces involve an interplay of the geometric, analytical, and algebraic aspects of these spaces. They have therefore attracted a great deal of attention, and there have been many excellent expositions of the themes that are characteristic of this subject.
