Ayodhya tussle - For Hindus, Ram Janma Bhoomi is a “Place of Veneration” and for Muslims, Babri Masjid is a “Place of Ritual Prostration”. The Babri Masjid (Mosque of Babur), the Tughlaq-style mosque, was built in 1528 by General Mir Baqi on the orders of Zahir-ud-din Muhammad Babur, the founder and first emperor of the Mughal dynasty in the Indian subcontinent. The building is facile with Islamic architectural elements but devoid of minarets (Call Towers for prayers), etc. The Babri Masjid was neither a mausoleum nor a cenotaph. The placing of Ram Lalla Idol on December 22, 1949 inside the Babri Masjid Central Dome became the aggravating point of the title dispute. The blood-curdling Ram-Janma-Bhoomi–Babri-Masjid dispute is over a tiny area of 2.77 acres of land out of the 3.287 million square kilometre vast tract of India. Solutions from the erstwhile British rulers and Indian Prime Ministers found no results. At last, it was the reign of the 14th Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Damodardas Modi, that witnessed the lawful solution – amicable both for the Hindus and for the Muslims. Now, the golden era of peace and prosperity, brotherhood and tolerance has blossomed in the Indian soil. The “Basic Structure” (Justice, Liberty, Equality and Fraternity) enshrined in the Preamble of the Indian Constitution has been reaffirmed by this landmark judgment. We can assert that this book takes you to the inroads of the cementing facts and figures of the Ayodhya Dispute unravelled by this unanimous historical judgment of the Supreme Court of India.

Kapur Commission Report deals with the Conspiracy to Murder of Mahatma Gandhi who was shot dead point-blank range by Nathuram Vinayak Godse in Birla House Prayer Gardens on 30th January 1948. Three among the eight accused i.e. Madanlal, Karkare, and Gopal Godse were released on12th October 1964 after completion of their life-sentence and honoured on November 12, 1964 in Pune at a private function presided by Dr. G.V. Ketkar. In that function, Delhi and Bombay Civil and Police administration were strongly condemned for their laxity and dereliction of duty which ultimately resulted in the murder of Mahatma Gandhi. The Indian Express dated November 14, 1964 commented adversely about this function. There was a furore in Bombay Legislative Assembly and Indian Parliament which led the instituion of Kapur Inquiry Commission. The Commission’s report was made public in 1970s. This digitised Report in two parts is an indispensable one for Judicial Officers & Police Officials, Lawyers & Students of Legal Studies, Historians & Human Right Activists, and above all for Indian Politicians & Bureaucrats in discharging their official duties without any commission or omission and comprehending the social responsibility that is to be shouldered as and when required in times of crisis. Representation learning in heterogeneous graphs (HG) is intended to provide a meaningful vector representation for each node so as to facilitate downstream applications such as link prediction, personalized recommendation, node classification, etc. This task, however, is challenging not only because of the need to incorporate heterogeneous structural (graph) information consisting of multiple types of node and edge, but also the need to consider heterogeneous attributes or types of content (e.g. text or image) associated with each node. Although considerable advances have been made in homogeneous (and heterogeneous) graph embedding, attributed graph embedding and graph neural networks, few are capable of simultaneously and effectively taking into account heterogeneous structural (graph) information as well as the heterogeneous content information of each node. In this book, we provide a comprehensive survey of current developments in HG representation learning. More importantly, we present the state-of-the-art in this field, including theoretical models and real applications that have been showcased at the top conferences and journals, such as TKDE, KDD, WWW, IJCAI and AAAI. The book has two major objectives: (1) to provide researchers with an understanding of the fundamental issues and a good point of departure for working in this rapidly expanding field, and (2) to present the latest research on applying heterogeneous graphs to model real systems and learning structural features of interaction systems. In the recent years, several advances have been made in eco-friendly technologies for integrated management of vegetable diseases. The book on, “Disease Problems in Vegetable Production” gives a comprehensive over-view of economic importance, symptomatology, etiology, epidemiology and management of important diseases of vegetable crops caused by fungi, bacteria, viruses, virus like organisms, mycoplasmas and nematodes. The integration of more than one management practices including genetic resistance, cultural, biological and chemical methods has been suggested to make their use more effective, economical and eco-friendly. A total of 17 chapters dealing with important diseases of vegetables like potato, tomato, crucifers, cucurbits, pea, French beans, chillies, onion, garlic, egg plant, carrot, sugarbeet, colocasia, okra and leafy vegetables have been compiled in this book. The book also includes chapters on common pathogens of vegetable crops, disease problems in nurseries, post-harvest diseases and disease problems caused by nematodes. Like other agro climatic zones of India, crops in arid region also suffer enormously due to vagaries of plant diseases. Certain agro-climatic conditions favor occurrence and development of these diseases, which often takes a serous form resulting in heavy crop losses. Instances are there when growers have abandoned cultivation of cumin, a cash crop, which suffered heavily due to wilt and shifted to less remunerative or more irrigation requiring crops. Even several folk songs depict the plight of cumin growers. Similarly, concurrent soil moisture and heat stress favor survival and multiplication of soil-borne plant pathogens that causes root rots in many legumes, oilseeds and trees. As arid lands are brought under irrigation, several newer or hitherto unimportant diseases have also became serious. With the burgeoning population pressure, arid region is now confronted with producing more grain and fodder per unit of land. Besides cultivation of drought hardy varieties of crops under improved agronomic practices, management of plant diseases is yet another area, which can accept this challenge to maximize productivity of arid lands. In the present compendium, contributions were invited from experienced research workers working in specialized Institutes. An effort has been made to provide information on the occurrence of major diseases on principal cereals, legumes, oilseeds, spices, horticultural crops, trees, medicinal plants, etc, and on factors influencing their development and practical remedial measures to reduce crop losses.

User Interfaces (UI) of applications, since about 2010, are usually implemented by dedicated frontend programs, following a Rich-Client architecture and are based on the Web technologies HTML, CSS and JavaScript. This approach provides great flexibility and power, but comes with an inherent great overall complexity of UIs, running on a continuously changing technology stack. This is because since over twenty years Web technologies still progress at an extremely high invention rate and unfortunately at the same time still regularly reinvent part of their self. This situation is harmless for small UIs, consisting of just a handful dialogs and having to last for just about one or two years. However, it becomes a major hurdle for large UIs, consisting of a few hundred dialogs and having to last for five or more years. This is especially the case for the complex UIs of industrial Business Information Systems. The main scientific contribution of this dissertation is the Hierarchical User Interface Component Architecture (HUICA), a scalable software architecture for Rich-Client based User Interfaces. It is primarily based on the important architecture principle Separation of Concerns (SoC), the derived idea of Hierarchical Composition, the invented design pattern Model-View-Controller/Component-Tree (MVC/CT) and the existing concepts Presentation Model and Data Binding.

The vegetables are important sources of essential vitamins and minerals needed for human system. They have roughage in sufficient qualities, low protein and fat contents, but carbohydrates, vitamin A, C, E and minerals like P, Ca, Fe, Mg and K are in plenty and they rank next to cereals as source of carbohydrates (Singh et al., 2005). Many vegetables of different category like root vegetables, stem vegetables, leafy vegetables fruit vegetables and cole vegetables are cultivated in the Marathwada region of the Maharashtra State. In the Maharashtra particularly in the Nanded district of the Marathwada region the vegetables like Carrot (Daucus carota L.), Radish (Raphanus sativus L.), Onion (Allium cepa L.), Methi (Trigonella foenum-graecum L.), Palak (Spinacia oleracea L.), Cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. capitata L.), Cauliflower (Brassica oleracea var. botrytis L.), Tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum L.) and Bhendi (Abelmoschus esculentus L.) etc.

Seed is the source of future plants or foods, is the storage place of culture of history, is the first link in the food chain, is the ultimate symbol of food security. Seed is the source of life. Seeds are basic in crop production. No agricultural practice can improve a crop beyond the limits set by the seed. Quality seed is the key for successful agriculture, which demands each and every seed should be readily germinable and produce a vigorous seedling ensuring high yield. “Care with the seed and joy with the harvest” and “Good seed doesn’t cost it always pays” are the popular adage which enlightens the importance of the quality seed. The farmers always very much interested in the best seed management practices which are safe, environmentally sound and scientifically proven technologies. Understandably, in view of the importance of quality seeds in Agriculture, both as a product and as a means of establishing a crop, most attention at all levels of investigation has been directed to crop seeds. Since seed is a biological entity, deterioration beyond harvest is inevitable. The consequences of low quality seeds are poor germination, low and delayed emergence and weak growth leading to poor field stand and ultimately reflecting on reduced yield. Low productivity could be attributed broadly to use of poor quality seeds. At present to overcome this, several seed enhancement techniques are available for quality upgradation. It has two goals; one is related to seed designing and other to seed functioning. The rationale for pre-sowing seed enhancement techniques is to mobilize the seeds own resources and to augment them with external resources to get maximum improvement in field stand establishment and yield. To achieve this, several physical, physiological and biochemical treatments are available at present to give value addition to seeds. Physiological seed treatments that improve seed performance are based primarily on seed hydration and dehydration. Among several non physiological seed treatments, coating or pelleting can also indirectly improve seed germination, stand establishment and crop productivity.

“JAYALALITHAA WEALTH CASE: TRIAL COURT JUDGEMENT” (VOLUME ONE)” : This is a digitised, unabridged, and the original version of Jayalalithaa Wealth Case. Miss. Jayalalithaa, the six-times Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, India, was accused of misusing her office during her first tenure i.e. 1991-96. Thereafter she and three others were charged over amassing properties worth nearly 66 crore INR; 3000 acres worth assets inclusive of farm houses and bungalows, agricultural lands and private firms, vineyards and tea estates in Tamil Nadu and Hyderabad; moveable assets included 800 kg silver, 28 kg gold, 750 pair of shoes, 10,500 saris, 91 watches, and other valuables. The Karnataka Trial Court Judgement ended in their conviction on 27th September 2014; the High Court of Karnataka acquitted all of them from all the charges through its judgement on 11th May 2015; ironically “the Sword of Damocles” fell on Jayalalithaa (after her death on 6/12/2016) and three others through the Judgement of Supreme Court of India on 15th February 2017 in which the order, the conviction, and the sentence of the trial court was restored in full and the judgement of Karnataka High Court was set-aside. While the appeals relate to Miss. Jayalalithaa, she having expired meanwhile, stand abated, the remaining three accused are to meet the cold hands of Justice. This series of Judgements of Trial Court, High Court, and Supreme Court expose the finer aspects of this protracted litigation involving high profile people in the annals of Indian Legal History.
