This book offers the reader a precise and rare opportunity to explore an extraordinary spiritual experience. It is an introduction into a heavenly event that began with the appearance of an Angel. Most importantly, this is a testament to why the Angel appeared to Rose Mary in the hospital on October 7, 2011. What is very distinctive about this book is the author endeavors to convey to the reader a detailed chronicle of this glorious event that she personally witnessed. It is unlike any other book previously written because of the appearance of the Angel and the profound message conveyed to Rose Mary by the Angel through the power of the Holy Spirit. The Angel said to her, "I bring you a message. Tell them it is almost time." This message contains only six words, but the impact of these words will prove to be of great significance for all Humanity. The message, while a profound warning in its origin, is also a message of hope. What will God's children interpret the message to mean? What does God truly expect from His children? Almighty God loves all His children so much that it is beyond our capacity of understanding. God desires all His children to learn how to love one another and to live in peace. God is trying to get our attention before evil destroys Humanity and the entire world. The message is a severe reminder that God loves every Soul immensely, but God's people must return this love by proving to Him we all have the moral convictions to turn our back on evil and love and trust in His mercy. It was during the process of writing the book that the author was further inspired by the Holy Spirit through the Angel to persevere and reveal what must be said. There are thirty-three intense chapters. Each chapter is a culmination of issues pertinent to why the Angel appeared with a profound message. Our Holy Father, who is in Heaven, watches over His children with infinite love, compassion, and mercy. The overall responsibility of Rose Mary to write this book has become a mission of love for her. I See An Angel is the most vital endeavor of the author's life. Finding Grace with God: A Phenomenological Reading of the Annunciation engages in an interweaving of phenomenology, mystical theology, and feminist philosophy to unfold a theopoetic interpretation of the narrative of the Annunciation in the Gospel of Luke. It begins with a discussion of the foundational phenomenologies of Edmund Husserl and Martin Heidegger and then moves to the more recent work of several French phenomenologists, including Paul Ricoeur, Jean-Louis Chretien, and Michel Henry. The interpretation is then expanded through the philosophies of Luce Irigaray, Jean-Luc Marion, and Jacques Derrida. Finally, the phenomenologies of Maurice Merleau-Ponty and Martin Heidegger provide a means to interpret the Annunciation through theopoetics, as a text that is infused with possibility. Mary, filled with grace, is beckoned by the divine into possibility; responding in grace, she in turn beckons the divine into possibility. Transgressing the limits of language, this possibility slips into apophasis--into a moment of Gelassenheit, a mutual "letting-be" or releasement of Mary and the divine into a mystical union of love, a love that becomes manifest through a gift of life.

The title of the book reinforces the underlying theme of grace. It alludes to the scarlet thread that Rahab the harlot placed in her window to remind the two Hebrew spies of an oath they made to her not to destroy her and family during their siege of Jericho (Josh. 2:1221). To Rahab, the scarlet thread may have been a token of escape, but to the spies, it may have been a poignant reminder of the Passover blood that caused destruction to pass over their ancestors on the eve of their exodus from Egypt. Each chapter of the book looks at the life of each woman and how it is woven into the plan of God. The first chapter explores the life of Eve, the second chapter celebrates the Virgin Mary, and the final chapter focuses on Rahab. All other chapters are in chronological order, starting with Sarah, Rebekah, Leah, Tamar, and Ruth and ending with Bathsheba.

This book explores the inconsistent literary representations of motherhood in diverse texts ranging from the fourth to the twentieth centuries. Mary Beth Rose unearths plots startling in their frequency and redundancy that struggle to accommodate —or to obliterate—the complex assertions of maternal authority as it challenges traditional family and social structures. The analysis engages two mother plots: the dead mother plot, in which the mother is dying or dead; and the living mother plot, in which the mother is alive and through her very presence in the text, puts often unbearable pressure on the mechanics of the plot. These plots reappear and are transformed by authors as diverse in chronology and use of literary form as Augustine, Shakespeare, Milton, Oscar Wilde, and Tony Kushner. The book argues that, insofar as women become the second sex, it is not because they are females per se but because they are mothers; at the same time the analysis probes the transformative political and social potential of motherhood as it appears in contemporary texts like Angels in America.
