Racing Nascars for his big name sponsors, stealing expensive luxury sports cars, Marko street races for Leroy and is linked with the gambling syndicate doing cocaine deals on the side. He winds up in trouble with the law and is sent to New York, by his father the head of the LAPD, who has firm ties to the mafia. Edward Martin, Head Attorney for the Mafia, based in New York, takes young Marko under his wing setting him up as personal assistant to his wife Alessandra who has a label in the Fashion Industry. He has a steamy romance with their daughter Georgia who also works for the massive Fashion Enterprise. He becomes a made man hanging out with hard core mobsters and now enjoys very close relations with Ciro Pistone, (The Don), Frankie Napatano, (Underboss) and other core gang members. Actively entrenched in the Mafia as activities and hanging out with the Cartels son, he becomes involved with the Cartels daughter Francesca and falls madly in love. A twist of fate leads him back to New York on a revenge fuelled rampage of murder and bloodshed linking all the way to the White House. Now a Captain with the mob, he is fully entrenched in the day to day activities of the mob, Jet setting to Sicily, Ibiza and Monaco living the life of a movie star, doing arms deals with the Bosnians and contract hits for the mob. A powerful story full of action, murder, extortion and romance as Marko becomes one of the untouchables, but will he survive to rise up the Mafia ranks

Environmental legislation is relatively new as an independent field of the law: the laws themselves are primarily a conglomeration of older legal doctrines from other fields of law, modified and adapted for particular situations (Landau and Rheingold 1971). Like other laws, environmental laws are meant to serve and protect the rights and well-being of the public. However, like other laws, they have created confusion, a proliferation of costly paperwork, and some inequities. Numerous statutes, dealing with most aspects of pollution, exist at every level of government-so many, in fact, that they frequently conflict and overlap. These statutes establish a public policy toward polluters. They also empower the regulatory bodies that issue permits. It would be impossible to compile a list of requirements for each type of permit. Therefore, this book will acquaint the reader with the common aspects of environmental permits: their terminology, components, and application processes. This book covers the permit process from initial agencies/applicant contacts through application parts and procedures, to application approval. Special emphasis has been placed on bringing together copies of laws and lists of agencies as appendices. The appendices give the reader easy access to materials that will help clarify the permit process.

If you are an honorable member of the P club, you will find here something of yourself. You will also find a lot of me (author's privilege) and some way forward for us all. I stepped to my girlfriend's apartment, took a deep breath, and smelled the oxtail cooking on the stove. I don't really like this type of stew, but it smelled gorgeous as anything other than industrial pink soap would. My girlfriend froze to the spot. It was known that I could not smell anything. Only when I told her I smelled laurel leaves and allspice, then she understood I wasn't pulling her leg. The juries are still out on the question of how, when, and why. There is a sense to Parkinson's, but sometimes we are all too occupied with our daily hell to notice between the ON and OFF states management and the pain. The research community is in no better shape; neither is the medical community. Modern medicine brought wonders to our species, but when a researcher pitches for a research grant, he must keep it small enough so they will be able to win such a pitch. In the modern world, we must take a different approach. Gone are the days when a single researcher was shattered as a child when their grandmother went through the stages of Parkinson's disease and then vowed to dedicate their lives to research and to the eradication of Parkinson's. This could be a good holiday season movie (all rights reserved) but not a cure. Getting rid of Parkinson's disease must take another approach, both scientifically and financially. Such a task must consider industrial interests that are beyond the traditional pharmaceutical companies. The latter may introduce methodic obstacles. Also, the financial backing for such research may not be the traditional pharmaceutical companies but some other player altogether. In the meanwhile, we must keep ourselves functioning, manage our ON and OFF states, and reinvent ourselves every day at a time.
