Unleash the Power of God's Truth in Your Daily Life From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible is full of life-changing truth. But to fully experience the power of God's Word, you need to go beyond merely knowing the facts and learn how to let them transform you. In this new resource, noted author and biblical scholar Ron Rhodes takes you through each book of the Bible, breaking down complex concepts into practical applications and offering helpful insights for each. For example, key applications found in 1 John include: Our fellowship with God hinges on walking in the light as He is in the light. When we fall into sin and fall out of fellowship with God, confession to God is the remedy that restores our fellowship. When we sin, Jesus is our defense attorney—and He never loses a case in God's court. Our fellowship with God is thereby protected. Word studies, quotes from famous Christians, cross-references, and more are included in every profound chapter to help you dig deeper into each transformational concept. As you put God's key principles into practice, you'll experience more than ever all the benefits the Bible has to offer.

Because not many colleges today teach in-depth classes on the Old Testament and because it’s difficult for some to understand, I’ve written this Reader’s Digest version compiling the best resource materials available that this rich history might come alive and the readers might better understand why it’s here and how it applies so as to better understand the New Testament. There is far too little emphasis put on the OT today, and it’s such an important part of the foundation needed to better understand God’s Word. In my humble opinion this would serve to be an informative study, and a great tool used by those in the mission field who were without the benefits of formal schooling.

This book is written that you may better understand the purposes of God and the methods employed by him in bringing you and me into complete harmony with him. His purpose is to reconcile us fullyspirit, soul, and bodythat we may stand before him without blemish and as pure and holy as he is. Will you let him? Will you let this mind be in you that was also in Christ Jesus (Philippians 2:5)? Are you willing to have your mind renewed by the Word and Spirit of God (Romans 12:2)? If so, you may be prompted by the Spirit to reexamine some of your preconceived ideas and teachings. Your thinking, without a doubt, will be challenged by this book. This will prove to be a very healthy exercise that I promise will acquaint you more fully with the truth and depth of Gods Word. We will begin with a rather lofty theme but immediately settle down to some stepping stones. These stepping stones will bring us, line upon line and precept upon precept, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ (Ephesians 4:13). This book will help you understand our coming into full harmony with the person of God. Oh! That I might know him. Oh! That I might win the prize of the high calling! Is this the cry of your heart? We are told in Ephesians 4:13 that God has made provision for you and me to have the full knowledge of the Son of God. Does that excite you? Could it be that you have been apprehended by the Spirit to read this book?
Ron Nicholas has taken God's calling to heart by writing this book about his life in relationship to the Lord. Too few people find victory and healing over addiction. Fewer still have the courage to write about it. This book is the story of Ron's journey from bondage in the Egypt of addiction, through the wilderness of prison to the promised land of new life. Ron's story gives powerful and touching reasons for his hope in God. This book is more than a touching testimony. Ron tells his story of discipleship with a deep integration of Scripture and orthodox Christian doctrine. This book has the real potential by God's grace to be used as a practical guide and rich resource for Christian disciple making. As Ron grew in relationship with the Lord, he learned the ways of God. He learned a different way to interact with God and with all those around him. God formed the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control in Ron, in and through his healing process. In John chapter 15 Jesus tells His followers to abide in Him and promises that if they abide in Him they will bear abundant fruit. This book is part of the fruit of Ron's abiding in a faith relationship with God the Father, God the Son, and the Holy Spirit. May God bless as you come to know the reasons for Ron's hope and inspired labor in the writing of My Evil Twin: Why Good People Do Bad Things.
This book offers a new approach to the study of social movements. Integrating American and European approaches, Eyerman and Jamison argue that social movements are forms of activity whereby individuals create new kinds of social identities not only for themselves but for the societies of which they form a part. They examine the success and failure of social movements in comparative terms, both between historical periods and political cultures, giving special attention to the American civil rights movement, environmental movements, and recent form of collective protest in Eastern Europe and the Soviet Union. The result is a study which develops major theoretical innovations as well as integrating a wide range of empirical material.
Surveying the new century and the direction they see the Church heading in, authors Ron Auch and Dea Niforatos give readers the opportunity to take stock in just how Americans "do church." Is worship primarily for us? Do we seek our own comfort above all else? Has God's house become more ours than His? In stark contrast to the plethora of books offering marketing tips for attracting new church members, Auch and Niforatos suggest that the key to real growth and success for pastors and laypeople alike is to focus on "What Would Jesus Want?" Drawing on polling data, statistics, and a personal experience, they provide a startling picture of the modern American church-- and its drift into the dangerous waters of marketable compromise and conformity.

“Riveting.” -Publishers Weekly Ron Archer’s story will inspire you to trust God with the impediments facing you, whether big or small. Born to a biracial teenage mother forced by poverty to become a call girl, he survived an abortion his mother’s pimp forced her to have. Abused by some, bullied by others, and rejected by a stepfather, Ron was a stutterer, a bed-wetter, and an overweight kid who banged his head against the wall to knock himself to sleep at night. At age ten, he decided to take his own life. The gun did not fire. Afterward, a schoolteacher and a widowed neighbor stepped in and shared the love of God with him—forever changing his life. In this message-driven memoir, Archer shows readers how regardless of background and experiences, God can transform your pain into power and your misery into ministry. In What Belief Can Do, readers will discover: • Everything we go through in life is a down payment on our destiny. • We are conceived and born with a divine design. • Loving, caring people who mentor a child can change his or her life. • Sometimes our greatest blessings are contained in our greatest challenges.
Are you spiritually tired? Many Christians have a deep desire to “turn the corner” in their walk with Jesus. Some don’t know where to start, others are held back by the past, and still others are blinded or calloused by sin. King David, the man after God’s own heart, experienced this very thing, and in Worn Out by Obedience he is presented as a spiritual mentor. David is both flawed and on fire. He is the person we are and the person we want to be. In studying his extended stay in Ziklag (1 Samuel 27–30), readers will see how God often molds our hearts in seasons of brokenness, loneliness, and disappointment—sometimes even in our disobedience. If you are spiritually weary, discouraged, or exhausted, Worn Out by Obedience will help you to keep going—or start moving. You’ll learn the signs of spiritual fatigue and how to avoid them. You’ll see that God uses all our experiences—good and bad—to form Christ in us. And you’ll remember God’s great grace of rescue, recovery, and restoration.

Learn tools and techniques you can use in any Biblical study and then explore the History of Israel. Use what you learn to analyze Old Testament prophecies and apocalyptic writings - all in preparation for comparing accounts of what Jesus told His disciples on the Mount of Olives and for analyzing the Revelation given to John. Round out your experience with in-depth studies of end-times players such as the Antichrist and the 144,000 'redeemed from the earth'. Finally, explore in great detail the major rapture positions and challenges presented by each. Ron Braley's book, Finding the End of the World, is a great resource for any serious student of God's Word. However, it will frustrate those who look to it for easy answers to questions surrounding the books of Daniel and Revelation, events of the End Times, and eschatological controversies. Instead, the author gives the reader and student the tools to delve into the Scriptures and discover the answers. Caution: This may lead the reader to question and even jettison some previously held views of the End of Times. While offering historical and theological background materials to consider, I believe the greatest value of this book is the study tools, guides and exercises it offers each student. The result is creating students of the Bible who know how to read and study for themselves. Ron Almberg, Jr. (B.A., Th.B., M.Div.). Ron Braley lives in Texas with Joanne, his wife of 27 years. After at least 20 years of my research in the Bible, beginning with the mission of trying to prove that the Bible is the Word of God, I have come to the conclusion that the Bible was not written perfectly, therefore concluding that maybe we shouldn't be so lazy, as to call the entire Bible The Word of God anymore. Instead, maybe scholars should do as I have done, and make it our mission to find the perfect word in the Bible. If some of us work together in this direction, we can at the very least salvage the Word of God in the Bible, before the antichristian world provides enough information to try to discredit the Bible altogether. In addition, this book provides an inside window into some real spiritual warfare taking place right now. The Book of Knowledge of Good and Evil also provides possible end results depending on which side wins these specific battles. If you worship God only this book will be of comfort to you, but if you not only worship God, but the apostles and prophets also, putting them on the same pedestal as God Almighty, you may wind up disliking me and this book. One of the main reasons why I wrote this book is to take the churches out of their comfort zone. My hope is many Christians all over the world will dig in their Bible and try to prove me wrong. Who knows, maybe we will all learn something new as a result. As for the ministers, preachers, pastors and priest who think it is their job to make themselves rich by taking their congregations hard earned money, who are too lazy to open the Bible to even challenge me. When you tell your congregation that I'm the devil or a servant of the devil, then may the authority of this book turn your church upside down and lay it to waste!
The purpose of this book is to strengthen the reader's faith in Jesus Christ and His restored church. The author strictly follows the teachings of the prophets and apostles, both ancient and modern, to give fresh perspectives that will increase your understanding of Christ's doctrines and increase your commitment to live the Law of the Lord. He shares what he has learned that will help you to become more loving, serving and charitable. He also offers proven principles for improving marriage, successful parenting, resisting sin, and taking delight in blessings of the priesthood. The topics are covered in an easy to read style and will help enlarge your testimony. These pages will encourage you to receive the necessary ordinances and keep your covenants with the Lord. By doing so, you can return to the presence of your Father in heaven and have the joy of being with your family for all eternity.
9/11 stands as a stark reminder that every person can leave a lasting impact on our world. The choices we make and the paths we follow will determine the kind of impact we make. We are all born with an innate desire to live with a purpose. God wants us to live proactive lives to impact society for good: we do that by becoming “Followers of Jesus”. “Living With An Edge” is the way Pastor Ron Kallem describes a person who follows Jesus. He says “Each of us makes the choice to either waste our lives, spend our lives or invest our lives. When we choose to invest our lives in following Jesus, everyone wins!”

The author, Ron Searcy, gives the reader positive proof that the religious world has made a blunder in assuming that the divorce law, given by Jesus, applies to both men and women. He also clearly shows that, in spite of millions of couples getting divorced for almost any reason, most of those couples are still morally married because, they got a divorce for a reason that God does not allow. Therefore they got a divorce at the courthouse but not in heaven. Mr. Searcy clearly shows that when you say, "I do", you had better well know what you’re saying, "I do" to.
Filled with as much humor as heartache, Silencing the Drums by Tom Shipley is a stunning example of what historical fiction does when it is done well. Perfectly pitched and perfectly poised, this debut educates readers on life in Southern Virginia after the Second World War and proves the stomping ground for good old-fashioned storytelling. Billy Grayson is a boy on the cusp of manhood. He has lost his father in World War II but, though reeling, is willing to make the best of a summer spent with relatives at the ancestral home in Virginia. What follows is not curative but a rousing journey as his fair cousin, Anna Wainwright, enlists his aid on a mission to bring a man down. As the two seek justice, they learn the path of the righteous takes courage and that honor comes with a price.
When people find themselves twisted and floundering in life's turmoil, they long for a safe haven, a place to recover. Dr. Phillips shows that this longing is for a deeper, more satisfying fellowship with the Lord. He demonstrates how we block our understanding of God with spiritual and mental preconceptions and why clearing those obstacles can open our path to a fulfilling and engaging relationship with the Father.
WARNING: If readers accept the author's challenge, they will pray more deeply, effectively, and regularly than they ever have before. Through powerful daily "dares" or challenges, Ron Kincaid, pastor of Sunset Presbyterian Church in Portland, Oregon, guides readers not just to think or talk or read about prayer . . . but to actually pray. Individuals and small groups will gain confidence in their prayer lives, strengthen their understanding of prayer's purpose, and learn how to apply key scriptural principles of prayer to their everyday lives. The Prayer Dare is a practical, no-nonsense handbook that demonstrates concepts with relatable illustrations and then invites readers to engage in simple exercises to make the "dare" a personal reality. Journaling space is also provided to record practice and progress. Dares include "Don't Be Afraid to Ask," "Pray Like You Mean It," "Take God Seriously," and "Be Transparent." Each dare builds on the last, and as readers take the challenges one-by-one, they will begin to do something incredible: pray.
Everyone's Guide to Demons and Spiritual Warfare is a basic training manual for anyone who wants to understand spiritual warfare principles and know how to stand against satanic attacks.
This book concerns the history of the Bible, Christianity, Rabbinic Judaism, and theological-political thought in the West. Its operation is threefold. First, it shows that the biblical text can be read as a theological-political narrative about a god who strives to be recognized as such by a group of people. Second, it reconstructs the history of the conversation that took place around this narrative from the fourth century BCE to the beginning of the Middle Ages, showing how it was dependent on social and political circumstances, rather than on theological notions. Lastly, it distinguishes between two strands of the conversation—the Christian and the Rabbinic—that carried the narrative through the Middle Ages and explains why the latter offered a more advanced interface with the political reality than the former. This book introduces a reading of the biblical narrative that takes seriously the difference between the two creation stories that begin the Book of Genesis and considers them as referring to two distinct divinities. This reading reveals in the Bible an overarching narrative about the god Yhwh, who tries to impose himself as the sovereign of Israel by claiming that he is the same god as Elohim—the benevolent creator of the perfect world.
This is the most biblically based, theologically sound, and spiritually helpful work on the person and attributes of the preincarnate Christ to appear in many years. Norman L. Geisler, Southern Evangelical Seminary An unusually thorough and helpful treatment of a greatly neglected but vital subject. Donald K. Campbell, President, Dallas Theological Seminary This work addresses an area of neglect in the study of the person and work of Christ, and its publication is overdue. Readers will find interesting insights into this significant part of the life of Christ which will help them evaluate the Gospels as well as establish their basic view of Christ himself. John S. Walvoord, Chancellor, Dallas Theological Seminary
