Classical Christianity is rooted in a historical event: the Resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth. This is the central tenet of the Christian Faith. However there are a good number of tenets of Christianity that aren't historical at all. Rather, they are ontological. In other words, they are grounded in the nature of reality itself. In this work Rocco Boni shows how the dozen or so ontologically-based tenets of Christianity derive from the very foundations of reality; being grounded in the theistically-friendly ontology of quantum phenomenon. These tenets seem to have been built into the cosmos at the ground floor, their realization deriving from the indeterministic, immaterial, abstract nature of quantum process. This is not simply a book, it's a discovery. One that shows that the true ontic status of reality is not simply theistic, but Christian. The structure of this theistic ontology is elegant and economic, both hallmarks of scientific truth. If there were such a thing as a Theistic Unification Theory, this would be it.
Written by one of Pope John Paul II's closest friends and counselors, this intellectual biography is the standard work for all who want to understand John Paul's philosopical mind .
Ben Jonson has often been accused of needless erudition and of a morose refusal to join in the festive spirit. Further aggravation has come from the application of Bakhtin’s theory of carnival, especially in its posthumous form as a political allegory portraying the clash of high and low cultures. In an attempt to turn the tables on this tradition, Jonson Versus Bakhtin goes back to the sources, arguing that Jonson’s theatre allows for an original interpretation of the grotesque as a formal culture of antithesis and opposition that includes carnival. A robust observer of popular myths of festive liberation by way of a uniquely compendious adaptation of his sources, Jonson’s grotesque uncannily delves deep into the Renaissance theory of the coincidence of opposites as a way of envisaging virtue and other concepts of the mind, rather than serving up a pompous application of moral precepts or offering a political arena for ritual transgression. While richly based on an appropriate repertory of underlying sources, Jonson Versus Bakhtin steers away from any tiresome reference hunting mania, appealing to a broader audience interested in re-appraising Ben Jonson’s genius for richly contrastive imagery, as well as re-considering the relevance of Bakhtin’s theory to Elizabethan and Jacobean drama and to the Renaissance culture of the grotesque.
The biggest discovery for theism since anthropic fine-tuning in the 70's Does a Creator-God exist? And if so, which one? What is the identity of the one true God? Does he care about creation? Does he care about humankind, and each one of us personally? And how can we know? In this work Rocco Boni answers these and numerous other questions pertaining to the most important question of all: the "God Question." And does so based upon objective, empirical, scientific fact. Christianity is grounded in a historical event: the Resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth. This is THE central tenet of the Christian Faith. However, there are a good number of tenets of Christianity that aren't historical at all (e.g., free will, special providence, general providence, body/soul dualism, creation ex nihilo, continuous creation, et al.) Rather, they are "ontological." In other words, they are grounded in the very nature of reality itself! In this work Rocco Boni shows how the dozen or so ontologically-based tenets of the Christian Faith derive from the very foundations of reality; being grounded in the theism-pandering processes of quantum phenomena. These tenets seem to have been built into the cosmos at the ground floor; their realization deriving from the immaterial, abstract, indeterministic nature of quantum process. This is not simply a book; it's a discovery! One that shows that the true ontic status of reality is not simply theistic, but "Christian!" Nothing less than a unified "theistic" theory of everything.
