If you want a living representation of integrity, faithfulness, honor, ministerial loyalty, and a description of the meaning of "Christ-follower," you need to look no further than these two wonderful servants of the Lord and their Faithful journey."-T. Ray Rachels
The bumper sticker announced: Hope Is Everything! The message sounds compelling, but something is missing. If hope is to be potent, it first must be grounded in the core teachings of Scripture. Anything less will never hold up; it will only fold up. This book has been written for the hungry hearts of Gods people in the pew. The objective is this: to explain the faith once delivered to the saints (Jude 3) in such a way that minds will be nourished, hearts warmed and wills inspired to respond with joy. I love this book! In the United States, over half of pregnant women receive some form of anesthesia for their deliveries; this translates into well over 2 million anesthetics per year. With this new handbook, anesthesiologists have easy access to step-by-step, to-the-point information on how to manage patients in specific situations. Every aspect of obstetric anesthesia practice is covered, including patient evaluation, anesthesia for labor and delivery, anesthesia for cesarean delivery, management of patients with concurrent medical problems, management of obstetric emergencies, fetal assessment, and neonatal resuscitation. Distilled, synthesized text is complemented by a generous number of tables, charts, figures and flow diagrams, all presented in accessible handbook format. Obstetric Anesthesia is an ideal introduction to the specialty as well as an essential daily guide for obstetric patient care and management.

Robert Duncan's nine lectures on Charles Olson, delivered intermittently from 1961 to 1983, explore the modernist literary background and influences of Olson's influential 1950 essay "Projective Verse." These transcribed talks pay tribute to Olson and expand our knowledge of Duncan's vision of modernist writing.
The Wiley Handbook of Contextual Behavioral Science describes the philosophical and empirical foundation of the contextual behavioral science movement; it explores the history and goals of CBS, explains its core analytic assumptions, and describes Relational Frame Theory as a research and practice program. This is the first thorough examination of the philosophy, basic science, applied science, and applications of Contextual Behavioral Science Brings together the philosophical and empirical contributions that CBS is making to practical efforts to improve human wellbeing Organized and written in such a way that it can be read in its entirety or on a section-by-section basis, allowing readers to choose how deeply they delve into CBS Extensive coverage of this wide ranging and complex area that encompasses both a rich basic experimental tradition and in-depth clinical application of that experimental knowledge Looks at the development of RFT, and its implications for alleviating human suffering
Are vaccine injuries really “one in a million,” as governments and public health experts constantly tell us? This comprehensive look at the evidence by Children’s Health Defense, illustrated by nine real-life stories of serious vaccine injury, exposes health agencies’ soft-pedaling of vaccine risks as a dangerous lie. For most people, the potential risks of vaccination, which include life-changing illness, family bankruptcy, and even death, are invisible and almost inconceivable—until a vaccine injury happens to them. Through the poignant and riveting stories of nine injured children and adults, Profiles of the Vaccine-Injured by Children’s Health Defense communicates the devastating impacts of vaccine damage on health, family finances, relationships, and more. As the book’s introductory chapters show, vaccine injuries—whether from a routine childhood injection—or a travel vaccine—or a COVID-19 shot—are common, not rare. Discussing US children’s poor showing in global health rankings, the book assembles compelling evidence pointing to childhood vaccination as a key “elephant in the room.” The heart of the book resides in the vaccine injury stories told by mothers of injured children and injured adults. Conveying in vivid detail what it’s like to live with conditions such as severe autism, chronic pain, and immune systems gone haywire, the nine individuals also attest to the disturbing fact that “when it comes to vaccine injuries, there’s no help legally or financially—you’re on your own.” In addition, they share affecting accounts of gaslighting, a lack of answers or solutions and outright hostility from the medical community, social isolation, heavy financial burdens, and interrupted careers and lives. Exposing the truth behind the vaccine safety myth, Profiles of the Vaccine-Injured makes vaccine injury personal and demonstrates that we ignore vaccine risks at our peril.
First Published in 1966. In experience of many years in conducting a course in Goethe's Faust, trying to present to students of varied types and training the background out of which the drama grew, the compilers of this text have constantly felt the need of a collection of source material which would make that background more real and consequently more interesting. The content and form of the collection have been in part determined by its primary purpose of serving as an aid to students receiving their first serious introduction to Goethe's masterpiece and in part by the trend of Faust research. It is intended to be used as a supplement to the usual scholarly edition in the student's hands.
Recently, there have been a number of advances in technology, including in mobile devices, globalization of companies, display technologies and healthcare, all of which require significant input and evaluation from human factors specialists. Accordingly, this textbook has been completely updated, with some chapters folded into other chapters and new chapters added where needed. The text continues to fill the need for a textbook that bridges the gap between the conceptual and empirical foundations of the field.
The fields of hydrodesulfurization (HDS) and hydrodenitrogenation (HDN) continue to attract the attention of researchers in the various disciplines connected to these fascinating problems that represent two of the key outstanding chemical challenges for the petroleum refining industry in view of their very strong environmental and commercial implications. One area that has flourished impressively over the last 15 years is the organometallic chemistry of thiophenes and other related sulfur-containing molecules. This has become a powerful method for modeling numerous surface species and reactions implicated in HDS schemes, and nowadays it represents an attractive complement to the standard procedures of surface chemistry and heterogeneous catalysis, for understanding the complex reaction mechanisms involved in this process. Similar developments have begun to appear in connection with HDN mechanisms, although in a much more modest scale and depth. Some years ago when, encouraged by Prof. B. R. James, this book was planned, several excellent reviews and monographs treating different aspects of HDS were already available including some on the subject of organometallic models. However, it seemed appropriate to try to summarize the most striking features of this chemistry in an updated and systematic way, and inasmuch as possible in connection with the common knowledge and beliefs of the mechanisms of heterogeneous HDS catalysis. Hopefully, this attempt to build some conceptual bridges between these two traditionally separated areas of chemistry has met with some success.
This study examines insights into the state of morale of the Army of the Cumberland during the period of the Tullahoma and Chickamauga campaigns. The thesis covers the period from June through September 1863. The thesis focused on the organization and leadership of the Army of the Cumberland. It then examined morale as the whole of diverse factors, including national and individual factors. National factors were generally out of control of the army leadership. They included a soldiers’ motivation for joining the army, his views toward southern sympathizers at home, the impact of John Morgan’s Ohio Raid, soldier views on conscription, and effects of the progress of the war on morale. Individual factors comprised concerns for home, family, business, and religion. These areas were also largely beyond the influence of the army leadership. The study then examined morale factors the army could control. It explored army life, attitudes toward leadership, level of discipline, how the army leadership cared for solders, and the impact of mail on soldier morale. The thesis concludes that the Army of the Cumberland was a well lead organization. Consequently, the state of morale of the army was high throughout the Tullahoma campaign and was not significantly diminished as a result of the defeat at Chickamauga. The thesis further concluded that soldier confidence in Major General William S. Rosecrans remained high throughout the period of the study. Confidence in many corps and some division level commanders did, however, suffer as a result of the Chickamauga defeat. Additionally, the thesis concluded that Major General Rosecrans had been undermined from within his own headquarters—ultimately leading to his relief.
