The story is about a young man named Bobby Wayne Brooks who grew up in central Georgia. When his country was drawn into an unwanted war, he enlisted in the navy and served as a navy SEAL. During those few years, he served honorably and exemplified great courage. He received injuries on one mission that were severe enough to end his career in the SEAL program. He was offered a different assignment or a medical discharge. He took the discharge and returned to civilian life. After those few years of fighting, he figured he had had enough excitement and dangerous activities to last a lifetime. But he soon found that his reasoning did not impact the things life had in store for him. As a civilian, he soon found himself involved with the spirit world, which was something he did not understand and really had no desire to learn. Being a Christian, he believed that when a person dies, their soul immediately goes to their eternal reward. But he had heard many stories about people having encounters with the spirits of people who had passed. He did not understand them. Neither did he question the reliability of the stories he heard. He just accepted them and moved on with his life. As it turned out that unwanted encounter with the spirit world brought about an undesired involvement with the criminal world that could have cost him his life. But in the end, he counted the entire episode as very worthwhile since it brought about a beautiful romance that eventually led him to the love of his life, who became Mrs. Bobby Wayne Brooks. They both discovered that time was not a good measuring device when you find the one God intends for you to have.

This volume is concerned with the origin and development of the Targum to the Prophets, focusing for this purpose upon the Twelve Prophets (from Nahum to Malachi). A wide-ranging introductory chapter sets current research in context by surveying almost two centuries of Targumic study. It is argued that the evidence in the extant text for a Second Commonwealth phase in the Targum's history is meagre and that, in particular, the Qumran Habakkuk pesher is not dependent upon the Targum to Habakkuk. Other issues discussed are the Hebrew Vorlage of the Targum, incipit formulae, 'Additional Targum' and the standard Targum, the haggadah in the Targum to Zechariah 3 in the light of a (so-called) Eastern Aramaic linguistic element, Targum and Peshiṭta, land and divine presence, and the final redaction of the Targum.

Bristol is a major city and port in the south-west of England. In medieval times, it became the third largest city in the kingdom, behind London and York. Bristol was founded in the late Saxon period and grew rapidly in the 12th and 13th centuries. Initially, seaborne trading links with Ireland and France were particularly significant; later, from the 16th century onwards, the city became a focus for trade with Iberia, Africa, and the New World. This led to the growth of new industries such as brass manufacture, glass production and sugar refining, producing items for export, and processing imported raw materials. Bristol also derived wealth from the slave trade between Africa and the New World. The city has a long history of antiquarian and archaeological investigation. This volume provides, for the first time, a comprehensive overview of the historical development of Bristol, based on archaeological and architectural evidence. Part 1 describes the geological and topographical context of Bristol and discusses evidence for the environment prior to the foundation of the city.
