Some of these events are brought back to life when the author, Gary Prestipino, travels back in time and experiences them firsthand. In some of these journeys, he actually interacts with his family members; for instance, when he meets his parents and grandparents when they were younger. You will learn a lot about the author's life growing up in Brooklyn, New York and about his family, especially his father and grandfather. The stories are lighthearted and filled with love, joy, and respect. The book was inspired by the death of the author's father, a great man respected and loved among family and friends, and the significant role he played in his life.
