This history charts how geography rose to popularity on a tide of imperial enthusiasms in Victorian time and made its way into many elementary schools in the latter half of the 19th century. Many geography lessons were not dominated by the rote-learning of "capes and bays" and some of the pioneers of the subject led the way in the use of models, visual aids and "object lessons" in schools. The book explores Scott Keltie's report of 1886 as a catalyst for development. Despite the founding of the Geographical Association in 1893, the subject needed a series of concerted political campaigns in the early 20th centry to establish itself in the secondary sector. The growth of the regional approach, field-work and of sample studies expanded the subject between the world wars, before a major conceptual revolution invigorated and challenged teachers of the subject in the post-war period.

This complex murder mystery is a sequel to the author’s book Life Could Be a Dream, and provides an intimate glimpse into life in Southern California in the 1950s.

Max has transformed from an indifferent medical student into a leader of young activists, while Jan struggles with an abusive academic culture. The hospital is short of funds and key staff. The activists hold a press conference to claim that twenty-five patients have died from inadequate care. Afterward, they’re subjected to a witch hunt to quash their complaints. Meanwhile Jan is pregnant and delivers a baby with a medical complication that suggests paternity other than Max.

This aim was achieved through delving into the concept of Infrastructure bonds as well as the requirement for applying for this type of bond. The use of a detailed literature review and a questionnaire survey as well as interviews, provided the results of this study by highlighting the fact that Infrastructure bonds are not feasible to finance public Infrastructure in Zambia at the moment. This study underscored the financial gap that exists at present in Zambians Public Sector with reference to Infrastructure Development. Additionally, the key requirement for applying for Infrastructure bonds were a scrutiny of, namely: Structural features; Macro-economic factors; Public finance; External finance; Contractual framework; and Risk management techniques. The study also identified countries that have accessed these bonds and this was achieved through the use of case studies such as those of Kenya in Africa and Belgium and Spain in Europe. The study identified that although, Infrastructure bonds are not feasible at the moment, the most favorable bonds to be used if all the necessary logistics are put in place are the Informed bonds. Therefore, these bonds are a remedy to Zambia’s current financial challenges with regards to Public Infrastructure as well as to contain the unethical practices prevalent on public funded projects.
