Justice demands equality for all citizens, even if the former slave owners have refused to yield to the laws of the Land that guarantees the rights to all citizens. They have attempted to slice some of the rights from the Constitution in the name of States Rights. Since the time we elected Barak Obama as President, they have attempted to put more pressure on the system in terms of identification at the voting booths. We are proposing that in every state the question should be asked, what are the voting requirements? Once we receive the requirements we should mobilize our churches to assist in the follow-thru ensuring that the voting process is effectuated. We should ask the federal authorities to provide some oversight in some cases.

During the past three decades, histology has seen enormous progress, thanks to new techniques and new investigation instruments. Numerous discoveries of important structures and morphofunctional phenomena have been described in a wealth of papers of ever increasing size and complexity. These publi cations have become difficult to follow, not only because of their number, but also because of a disparity of terminology and the multitude of synonyms employed by different authors. All of this makes reading and comprehension of the progress that has been achieved laborious, even for histologists, but especially for students, researchers in other basic branches of medicine, or clinicians who have to consult histological texts during their studies or investigations. In order to facilitate the orientation of all those interested in histology, a concise and practical volume in encyclopedic style, defining and, at the same time, illustrating fundamental histolog ical terms, enumerating synonyms, and describing morpho functional phenomena has become necessary, both because a work of this genre does not exist and because the list of Latin terms elaborated by the International Anatomical Nomenclature Committee in 1977 does not give illustrations or definitions of histological terms. The present work attempts to redress this deficiency.

The determination of the three-dimensional structure of a biological molecule is the starting point in the understanding of molecular mechanisms involved in its complex biochemical reactions. The molecular architecture of multimolecular systems such as membranes and chromosomes provides the key to the fascinating field of molecular biology. Stereochemical details of biological macromolecules and their interactions with pharmacological agents form the basis for drug design. Naturally, the study of the structure and function of biological molecules has aroused tremendous interest and investigations in this area are being carried out in a large number of laboratories. The techniques used for this purpose include both experimental methods (X-ray and neutron diffraction measurements, study of NMR, ESR, vibrational and electronic spectra, ORD, CD and dipole moment measurements, biochemical modifications etc. ) and the oretical methods (quantum mechanical and classical potential energy calculations, Monte Carlo simulations and molecular graphics). F or several years now, X-ray diffraction [1] has served as our only source of infor mation on the three-dimensional arrangements of atoms in biopolymers. Fiber-diffrac tion of DNA led to the proposal of the DNA double helix. Fibers of long~hain polymers show ordering in the direction of the fibre-axis but not in the transverse plane. Accurate estimates of the dimensions of helical structures can be made using techniques on the basis of which models of biopolymers can be constructed.

Root resorption has been a perplexing clinical condition for dental practitioners as it has a broad range of clinical manifestation with varied severity and also due to the associated diagnostic dilemma. Early detection is essential for successful management and outcome of root resorption. Root resorptions have several local and systemic predisposing factors. Hence, patients with a history of one or more predisposing factors should be monitored closely for initial signs of root resorption. Cone beam computed tomography appears to be a promising diagnostic tool for confirming the presence, appreciating the true nature, and managing the internal and external root resorptions. In addition to the 2-D slices, 3-D reconstruction enables further assessment of the area of interest which enables the right treatment modality for the real pathology. Thorough knowledge regarding the pathogenesis and various factors that can cause root resorption is essential for a predictive therapeutic management as is given in this overview. The book describes different types of root resorption, the etiopathogenesis and management strategies for each type of root resorption.
