The book is written with the goal of assisting teaching physics to first year engineering students at university level. The students are introduced to the needed mathematical background in the beginning which introduces the concept of motion. These concepts are expanded to cover different topics in classical mechanics, oscillation, radiation, thermodynamics and fluidics. The book by no means replaces specialized courses. It is however an introductory course in itself that touches upon those topics at a basic fundamental level. The contents of the book are written based on the authors’ experiences and struggles while teaching first year university students. Hence, through the course of this book, the authors try to provide sufficient content that could possibly ease the transition for students who struggle with the topic. The book is a useful tool for teachers who face similar situations particularly with large numbers and wide diversity of students.
