Stability Domains is an up-to-date account of stability theory with particular emphasis on stability domains. Beyond the fundamental basis of the theory of dynamical systems, it includes recent developments in the classical Lyapunov stability concept, practical stabiliy properties, and a new Lyapunov methodology for nonlinear systems. It also introduces classical Lyapunov and practical stability theory for time-invariant nonlinear systems in general and for complex (interconnected, large scale) nonlinear dynamical systems in particular. This is a complete treatment of the theory of stability domains useful for postgraduates and researchers working in this area of applied mathematics and engineering.
The purpose of this book is to present the main metaheuristics and approximate and stochastic methods for optimization of complex systems in Engineering Sciences. It has been written within the framework of the European Union project ERRIC (Empowering Romanian Research on Intelligent Information Technologies), which is funded by the EU’s FP7 Research Potential program and has been developed in co-operation between French and Romanian teaching researchers. Through the principles of various proposed algorithms (with additional references) this book allows the reader to explore various methods of implementation such as metaheuristics, local search and populationbased methods. It examines multi-objective and stochastic optimization, as well as methods and tools for computer-aided decision-making and simulation for decision-making.
Much work on analysis and synthesis problems relating to the multiple model approach has already been undertaken. This has been motivated by the desire to establish the problems of control law synthesis and full state estimation in numerical terms. In recent years, a general approach based on multiple LTI models (linear or affine) around various function points has been proposed. This so-called multiple model approach is a convex polytopic representation, which can be obtained either directly from a nonlinear mathematical model, through mathematical transformation or through linearization around various function points. This book concentrates on the analysis of the stability and synthesis of control laws and observations for multiple models. The authors’ approach is essentially based on Lyapunov’s second method and LMI formulation. Uncertain multiple models with unknown inputs are studied and quadratic and non-quadratic Lyapunov functions are also considered.

However, these proceedings do not give an overview of the existing knowledge on carbonate mounds and do not include detailed post-cruise analysis and advanced interpretations.
