Model-driven individual-based forest ecology and individual-based methods in forest management are of increasing importance in many parts of the world. For the first time this book integrates three main fields of forest ecology and management, i.e. tree/plant interactions, biometry of plant growth and human behaviour in forests. Individual-based forest ecology and management is an interdisciplinary research field with a focus on how the individual behaviour of plants contributes to the formation of spatial patterns that evolve through time. ill recent years, it has become clearly recognized that many behavioural disturb ances and psychiatric illnesses are intimately associated with alterations in neuroendocrine function. This volume is designed to provide a thorough, up-to date review of our current knowledge of the neuroendocrine correlates of altered behaviour in man and experimental animals. Particular emphasis has been focused on the mechanisms which may underlie the coupling of mental functions with endocrine changes and the possible common links in the central regulation of both endocrine and psychic activities. One of the main objectives of this book is to consider both the experimental and clinical approaches in studying the interrelationship between neuroendocrine regulation and altered behaviour, and to assess its importance in the pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders. The book has been organized into four major sections which focus on: (i) the role of pituitary hormones in the regulation of CNS function; (ii) the relationship between brain endorphin systems, psychotropic drugs and neuroendocrine regulation; (iii) the importance of neuroendocrine regulation in the pathogenesis of mental disorders; and (iv) biological markers of altered mental function. In a previous study, the authors built the Bellman function for integral functionals on the space. The present paper provides a development of the subject. They abandon the majority of unwanted restrictions on the function that generates the functional. It is the new evolutional approach that allows the authors to treat the problem in its natural setting. What is more, these new considerations lighten dynamical aspects of the Bellman function, in particular, the evolution of its picture.

Pavel Petrovich Svin'in (1787/88-1839) was a painter, diplomat, and journalist who spent two years as part of the first Russian diplomatic mission to the United States. Soon after returning to Russia, Svin'in published a travel narrative of his experiences.
Pavel Krasheninnikov (born 1964) is a prominent Russian politician, state official, and professor of law. He studied at Sverdlovsk School of Law and then did graduate work there. He subsequently taught at the Ural State Law University. In the 1990s he served as an expert on legislation for the Supreme Soviet and worked in senior posts in various state authorities, including as head of Russia’s Ministry of Justice under Boris Yeltsin. He spent a decade as rector of the Russian School of Private Law in Moscow. At present Krasheninnikov is a deputy in the State Duma, and for 18 years he has led the Duma’s legislative committee. Krasheninnikov took part in the drawing up of a new Civil Code and other major legislation in modern Russia. He has played an active role in drafting and introducing legal reforms. He is responsible for over 150 publications in the field of private and public law, as well as legal theory and history. Krasheninnikov has authored a series of works in which he has traced the emergence and development of law as a key system for regulating interpersonal and social relations and as one of the sources of authority. His book The 12 Apostles of Law first saw publication in Russia in 2016 and is dedicated to the great legal minds who, through their scholarship and legislative activity, changed Russia’s law, government, and society over two centuries. For over thirty years Krasheninnikov has studied the lives and work of the men depicted in this book, and he was fortunate to personally work with four of them.
