---Love your country, not the government--- Colonel Patrick Murray (USA, retired) makes the compelling case that the biggest divide in America isnt racial disharmony, economic disparity, or Republican vs. Democrat. The biggest rift today is the widening gap between Washington, DC, and Main Street America. Our Founding Fathers created a unique system of limited government and individual liberty against a backdrop of free markets that ignited the greatest explosion of wealth, prosperity, and opportunity in history. However, the American Dream is now on life support. Government has become a massive parasite, leeching us of our liberty and productivity, and putting us on the path to civil unrest. The federal government, along with career politicians of both political parties, has become the problem. The good news is that there is a way out. Americas Founders, who were all too familiar with the oppressive nature of government, included an escape hatch in Article 5 of the Constitution to deal with the very situation in which we find ourselves. It is the last best option for Americas citizens to impose change upon government. Colonel Murrays book is a call to action at the grassroots level, an operations order on how to change the conditions on the political battlefield, take back our country, and restore the American Dream for future generations.
The Mismeasure of Wealth: Essays on Marx and Social Form gathers Patrick Murray’s essays reinterpreting Marx and Marxian theory published since his Marx’s Theory of Scientific Knowledge (1988), along with a previously unpublished essay and an introduction. Murray’s essays concentrate on Marx the historical materialist, the investigator of historically specific social forms of wealth and labour. There is no production in general; the production of wealth always involves specific social forms and purposes that matter in many ways. Marx’s attention to the dynamics and far-reaching consequences of historically specific social forms – in particular those that are constitutive of the capitalist mode of production – sets him off from classical political economy and traditional Marxism. In probing Marx’s dialectical accounts of the commodity, value, money, surplus value, wage labour and capital, The Mismeasure of Wealth establishes Marx’s singular relevance for critical social theory today.

This book extends the approach that Murray and Schuler develop in their companion volume, False Moves in Philosophy and Social Theory: Losing Public Purpose. The chapters form a connected inquiry into consequences of capital, a far-reaching social form, through a critique of political economy and the mindset it shares with much modern philosophy and social theory. The authors call this bifurcating mentality factoring philosophy. Factoring philosophy mistakes the distinguishable for the separable. It splits the subjective and objective, form and content, and it takes the object of social theory to be an impossible economy-in-general, stripped of constitutive social forms. The critique of factoring philosophy structures the collection, which makes a wide-ranging contribution to the research field of the critique of political economy as critical social theory. Ultimately, this book solidifies Murray and Schuler’s impact on the study of political economy, political philosophy, modern philosophy, Hegel, Marx, and critical theory.
This book considers diverse philosophical topics unified by the identification of false moves commonly found in modern philosophy, mainstream Anglo-American philosophy, and social theory. The authors expose the sources of fundamental problems that recur in philosophy—basic problems with what the authors call "factoring philosophy." Factoring philosophy fails to attend to the phenomenological task of determining when what is distinguishable is separable and when not. Consequently, factoring philosophy makes phenomenological mistakes—false moves—when it treats as separable what is only distinguishable. Analytic philosophy is prone to false moves when it fails to recognize that phenomenology is the necessary complement to analysis. There is nothing wrong with analysis—we might as well give up thinking as give up analysis—and nothing is wrong with the values prized by analytic philosophy. As Hegel observed, “philosophizing requires, above all, that each thought should be grasped in its full precision and that nothing should remain vague and indeterminate.” Ultimately, this book contends that false moves prevail in philosophical analysis and social theory when they neglect their phenomenological foundations.
In A New Beginning, Lee Joel Tiru courageously opens his heart and mind to the emotional and physical challenges he faced as a morbidly obese youngster and teenager. While it is no longer uncommon for one to admit to being fat, it is quite rare for one to lay oneself open, so the reader can sense his heartache and desperation and share equally in his joys and triumphs. Lee Tiru knows whereof he speaks; he offers a textbook example of how to set a course for changing one's life and for reaching and exceeding powerful life goals. He does not beat the reader perhaps equally obese as he once was over the head to change, but lays out reasonable challenges nonetheless to leave the reader with hope that there is life beyond misery. His words are applicable to any of life's difficulties: set a goal and persevere, always mindful of victory.

Bible Appreciation for Catholics was written to invite everyone to learn about the Bible. The invitation is intended for everyone. Although directed primarily to Catholics, there are no restrictions for reading it. All Christians and all non-Christians are invited. Any motive for reading this book is fine: desire to know more about the Bible, curiosity about the title, checking it for errors and fallacies, or trying to find out why anyone would want to be stuck in the mentality of a 2,500-year-distant past. Welcome to all!
The Death Of The Playground talks about the tragic loss of 'Free-Play' in America. Our Public Playgrounds were the places where it all happened, where developing boys could learn together to, : First sit and watch and learn from those older : Truly become an important part of a group and fit in : Make up their own games and improvise : That to have friends you must first be a friend : Handle disappointment and that life isn't always fair : Realize that all great things take time : To become part of something bigger than just themselves THIS ONE WAS MOST IMPORTANT ! On the Playground, they did all of this without DIRECT Parent or Adult supervision. They made up their own rules of play, picked their own games, decided for themselves what was fair, and learned to live with the consequences. All of this doesn't mean Parents weren't involved; they were. They just weren't over-involved! Kids raised with their parents doing everything for them, then 'grow up' and want their government to do the same thing. I think we all know where that road leads. America's Corporations desperately need the developing titans, like the ones that fought and won two World Wars, created the powerful multi-national corporations, and wrote the great books of the 20th century. The chain connecting boyhood to manhood is now broken. Let me take you back to find the missing link. Revisit with me the Playground of my childhood, and share with me the pure joy and magic of my 8 years of 'Free-Play.' It's not too late to recapture that magic for our children, but we have to act and we have to act soon. Rattlers & Snappers is a compilation of the writings, words, and talents of several people. The teachings are presented in a narrative format and cover the biology, habits, and habitats of some of the snakes and turtles native to North America. The tales and tidbits celebrate the interactions of man and beast in the mountains of north central Pennsylvania. Vance Dunbar is the primary voice of the book. He is employed by a conservation agency in Pennsylvania and has spent several years presenting reptile programs to diverse groups of people across the state. His program aims to dispel the myriad myths surrounding snakes and turtles in general, and Timber Rattlesnakes and Snapping Turtles in particular.
