This short story arises from an in-depth reflection on the events that took place in this pandemic period. Realizing the transience of life exposes you to both external and internal judgments about what you did and what you wanted to do at a young age. We have lived a life thinking of aging like our grandparents without knowing how fragile life is with the hope of being able to make our dreams come true in the future. At this age I understand the words of Dante "In the middle of the journey of our life I found myself in a dark forest because the straight path was lost." Now that we find ourselves doing the sums of life even if not on a journey of redemption as intended by Dante. Courage also derives from the unconscious resignation to the transience of life that leads us to make risky choices, which make life truly live.
This short story was created to explain to children what is this coronavirus that has closed us in the house for all this time with a reassuring tone for a positive resolution of the pandemic through a simple story for children. The narration takes place in an uncommon house with children who take matters into their own hands to find a simple and effective solution for the good of all, which the adults not only fail to see.
Will Princess Gaia, unfortunate from birth, finally find happiness? From one misadventure to another, between kings, queens, magicians and knights, he always manages to make the right decision to move forward in his fantastic adventure. This story reflects the author's love for animals and nature in general. The author wants to make the reader of all ages understand how important it is to defend nature also for the future of men. The images were made by the author herself.
Commissioner Amoroso has to solve his first case. The novel is set in the city of Bari, between the suburbs and the center in a succession of scenes that will take the reader on an interesting journey through the streets of the city to discover the murderer. Thriller illustrated by the author.
The Commissioner Amoroso together with his team tries to resolve a somewhat unusual case. This investigation will take several directions until it reaches the real murderer. The novel is set in the Bari suburbs at the gates of the city. Thriller illustrated by the author.
These short stories were inspired by the period that has just passed and continues to this day. Some of the six short stories contained in this collection are full of hope for the future while others analyze reality with the eyes of the imagination that all writers are lucky enough to have. Obviously all references to facts and people are random since they originate from the author's imagination.
Crisis, Turnaround and Corporate Reorganization. It is a work born from the study of corporate crisis, the Default and the cleansing of the companies. Even before starting the PhD, the author has analyzed the risk of default of agri-business and the rating as a system for identifying the probability of default in a research consortium under a second level Master. After returning in 2010 for a research group on governance strategies Turnaround and decided to study the one hand and on the other the default remediation to understand when and how to effectively make a turnaround. Companies in crisis at some point in their life cycle are at a crossroads; on the one hand and on the other the default salvation and this is the time to enable an effective turnaround strategy that can bring the company back on track. The identification of these strategies is of paramount importance not only for scholars, but primarily for managers. First, an intervention is carried out and the results will be better.
All crazy about the Mona Lisa was inspired by a myriad of images on the web on the Mona Lisa. It is interesting to understand this passion that the whole world has towards Mona Lisa. The Mona Lisa was taken up by past and contemporary artists, in design and in various advertising campaigns. Some large companies have based their visual communication on the image of the Mona Lisa and others have transformed their products by taking up the iconography of the Mona Lisa. The aim of this study is to describe the use of the Mona Lisa's image in art and advertising and at the same time to understand the reasons behind this communicative choice.
In this period of crisis started in December in China and still I heard continuous need to understand something more as a world, European, Italian citizen. I analyze the data that are available on the internet and that all major institutions put in open access. I specify that I am a PhD in business administration used to analyze numbers, but of a different nature (for all companies) and that engages for the first time to analyze the data regarding population. I'm not a doctor so my conclusions are based on data, not on assumptions based on medical knowledge. Obviously all the forecasts are only hypothetical trends based on personal hypotheses that might not occur, and which were made as the title suggests looking at what has happened in China and bringing it back on the Italian Data Analysis. The book is divided into five chapters on the current situation of COVID-19 World, the evolution of the pandemic in China, what is happening in Italy and in the Region of Puglia and the conclusions on the likely future possible trend of the pandemic in Italy and in the world.
In this book I wanted to collect all the short stories written so far. All the writings are original and collect the author's emotions and experiences. The author has specially created images for each of them with various pictorial and graphic techniques. Some of them analyze the reality of the pandemic with the eyes of the imagination that all writers are lucky enough to have. The underlying objective of the writing of this collection is mainly to fight the coronavirus also by telling positive and negative stories always with a thin thread of hope. Obviously, all references to facts and people are purely coincidental since they originated from the author's imagination.

THE EVALUATION OF FINANCIAL RISK PROFILE OF THE COMPANIES AND THE MANDATORY DISCLOSURE ON LIQUIDITY AND CREDIT RISK is a work born from a careful study of the evolution of the Italian and European legislation on the subject of financial risk communication and in particular of IFRS 7, Finacial Instruments: Disclosure. Thanks to this international accounting standard, Italian listed companies have included a greater number of disclosures on financial risks in their financial statements, but while there is no doubt the quantitative increase in information, the qualitative value of this communication is doubtful. In this regard, the study analyzes the usefulness of the disclosure introduced by IFRS 7 for financial analysts. The choice of analysts is a natural choice due to the importance they hold as intermediaries in the communication channel between companies and the market.
This is the story of a child who loves the violin and tries in every way to make his dream come true. After so many adventures, not only will he rewrite us, but thanks to an old Santa Claus he will find his true path.
This work stems from the need to develop some Excel sheets to reach the required results. For example, in the workplace it often happens to have data that without a precise sorting or a filter or processing based on a certain field may seem unusable. Here are some features of the programs that process spreadsheets such as Excel from Office or Calc from OpenOffice or Calc from LibreOffice, as well as others, can be useful for achieving the result we want to obtain. In this volume we will explain in a simple and effective way the usefulness of some important functions of the processing of spreadsheets and pivot tables that are essential for any work that focuses on data analysis. Today it is no longer possible to ignore the use of Excel or other software for processing spreadsheets for both business and leisure purposes. In this work we will dedicate ourselves to the processing of quantitative data for work purposes, taking into consideration various examples that will explain how to solve the problems proposed through subsequent steps that will lead to the solution of the same.
This work was born from the necessity found by the author to solve problems of various kinds during her studies and work. The large amount of data and the repetitive processing required an automated procedure that could be applied in any context. The author, being a programmer and being an expert in Pascal, Cobol and Javascript, searched for the most suitable solution and found it in the Excel VBA. This document is intended to introduce users to programming in general and to programming in Visual Basic for Applications and Excel in particular. VBA is simple and can be used on existing Excel files, quickly processing a large amount of data. The only tool we need is Excel. The book may not contain everything you should know about programming in VBA, but it does point the finger at the key points to create some programs which are explained in the various chapters. The content is divided into two parts one which explains programming in general and the second which explains programming in VBA with concrete examples of programs. In this latest version, more complex electronic procedures have been added that process various Excel files at the same time that can be used for warehouse management, for the management of work orders, for the management of payrolls and in all those problems where it is necessary. create summary reports of input data in different files. Obviously we will not write all the possible examples because they are infinite,
The author conceived this work as a scientific work intended for educational and study use for all those who approach the study of databases and which can also be used for business purposes. The author is convinced that everyone should know the Databases that could solve various problems. In this globalized and complex world where information is multiple and widespread, the needs are many and require people who know composite models of data analysis. Today the Databases are used in all applications available to the public. Computer applications that are downloaded to mobile devices also contain databases for storing and extracting data. The simple username and password that we enter to access our online profile is nothing more than a database containing all the data entered by the user upon registration. In this work the author will accompany you on a complete path from the identification of the problem to be solved, to the preparation of the conceptual model, to the construction of the physical database with the creation of the application that will lead to the required solution. The author has prepared some examples in Access, Visual Basic, Pascal as well as an example of Database application in Html and Php just to highlight the multiplicity of possible uses of the Databases.
With the arrival of the pandemic, digitalisation underwent a strong increase which led to an acceleration of technological evolution. Companies working in the financial markets have also adopted new technologies, among which particular note deserves artificial intelligence which processes enormous quantities of data in a very short time with various methodologies, including neural networks and machine learning. These new technologies allow in particular the detection of anomalous data. These models finally applied to new data predict what will happen with high accuracy, leading users to make informed choices, but based on completely automated predictive models. This represents the future which, through Artificial Intelligence, Chatbots and Expert Advisors, will revolutionize the financial markets, supported by adequate regulation. In this study we try to take stock of the current situation and some predictions for the future.
This work was born from the necessity found by the author to solve various problems repeated over time, concerning the data inserted in Excel sheets in the shortest possible time. The author, being a programmer and expert in Pascal, Cobol and Javascript, searched for the most suitable solution and found it in the Excel VBA and in the Visual Studio VB. This document is intended to introduce users to programming in general and to programming in Visual Basic in particular. The VB is simple and can be used on existing csv files or data entered directly into Visual Studio, quickly processing a large amount of data. For the moment the only tool we need is Visual Studio and the csv files. Of course, I can't go into the intricacies of the databases that I will definitely include in a future book. The book may not contain everything you should know about programming in VB, but it does point the finger at the key points to create some programs which are explained in detail in the various chapters. The content is divided into two parts one which explains programming in general and the second which explains programming in VB with concrete examples of programs. To see the programs inserted in this document in Excel VBA, I refer you to my other eBook "PROGRAMMING IN VBA".
The bankruptcy prediction model Z-ScoreM for Italian Manufacturing Listed Companies and Z'-ScoreM for Italian Industrial Company. The work stems from the study of the probability of default started in 2007 and continues today. In particular, this analysis is taken up with the study of the Rating and the credit and liquidity risk carried out during the author's research doctorate. The study is the continuation of other recently published author's e-books. The main objective is to identify a model for Italian companies based on Altman's Z-Score variables. Several researchers have analyzed the probability of failure of large companies, listed or emerging markets, other authors have tried to create a dashboard useful for the analysis of key indicators to be monitored, but this research differs for the creation of a specific indicator for the Italian Industrial Companies based on Altman variables.
This study examines the association between some governance variables and the risk of default of family and non-family firms. The paper also discusses the nature of family control and the differences to non-family control and their link to firm’s performance. The most relevant indicators utilised by the authors for identifies the probability of default are based on quantitative indicators, but the presence of independent directors or the managements turnover (in particular the change of CEO) are more important for the future life of the firms, especially in the crisis periods. These governance variables are more relevant for the firms that are controlled by founder’s family and in case of succession transition, that is one critical period for the firm. In this study we try to confirm the agency problems in family businesses highlighted by the literature as the relationship between Z-score and the presence of independent directors, the turnover of the directors and the change of CEO. Especially if the latter is also Chairman. We reaffirm in this analysis the necessary distinction between the capital and the company management.

The Value of Intangibles Assets and the Human Capital Disclosure of companies specializing in IT Consulting, Application & Internet Software and Data Processing. A Cross-Country Comparison Italy-England is a work born of the in depth study of the IC disclosure of Italian companies and the curiosity of the comparison with British companies. Voluntary disclosure of intangible resources reduces information asymmetry and the cost of capital (Botosan, 1997; Bojelbene M. A. and Affes Habib, 2013) and this encourages managers to increase this communication. The high-tech companies give much importance to intangible resources, particularly human resources, this observation led to the idea of studying the communication of human capital in the context of such companies. With the passing of time we see a greater interest on the part of company management to human capital with respect to the structural capital that has always been the subject of corporate communications.
This book aims to initiate those who want to independently create a website, to the world of domains and programming linked to the web. The author conceived this work as a scientific work intended for educational and study use for all those who approach the study of client-side and server-side programming. In the first place the difference between the various domains existing on the network will be explained and at a later time we will try to explain the CSS and HTML and then enter the PHP programming (server side) and JavaScript (client side) with the creation of databases via phpMyAdmin. All this will be explained through an example website created specifically using a free Bootstrap for simplicity and basic convenience and programming a control panel with login connected to the site via database for inserting images directly from the web by uploading them to the database created with connected phpMyAdmin to the site. Obviously, after entering the world of databases and programming, you can apply this knowledge to any other need for iteration by the user required by the site project. The aim of this study is not to create simple web pages that today can be done easily with WordPress or other easy-to-use software, but for purely educational purposes to explain the use of databases and server and client-side programming to make a dynamic otherwise static site. In summary, this work can be useful for those who want to approach the fascinating world of website programming from the beginning.
The study is linked to the analysis of voluntary disclosure present in the financial statements of the companies. In particular, it is interesting to analyze that part of the relational capital defined as CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) and the part of information falling within the risk disclosure (environmental and social). It is known that in 2017, for large organizations, the sustainability report, also known as the social report, also referred to as a non-financial statement pursuant to Legislative Decree 254/2016, will be mandatory. This Working Paper is linked to the previous Working Paper on Sustainability n.1 "Disclosure on sustainable development and the greater value recognized to the company by the market" by the same Author who analyzed the relevance of disclosure on sustainable development and environmental policies present in the financial statements of companies. This research is still in the first phase of study as only the financial statements for the year 2010 of the 21 selected companies have been analyzed. In this work, compared to the previous one, new keywords taken from the guidelines on CSR disclosure have been added with consequent expansion of the bibliography. The research continues with the detection of the keywords on sustainability deriving from the analysis of the financial statements of the companies selected from 2011 to 2017. The study of the evolution of the CSR disclosure of the two categories "Environmental" and "Social" will be the final goal of this research on sustainability.
