He and wife, Patty, attend Saint John Baptist at Greenville, Florida. Norman has a servant mentality and enjoys his testimony in working with people of all denominations and cultures. He has served in the past as Sunday school teacher, chairman of the board of deacons, and lay speaker. His purpose in writing this book is to share his thoughts and experiences in churches that he has attended, from the megachurches to the small country churches. He uses the Bible to demonstrate to Christians as to how God instructs us to maintain the proper attitude and knowledge of how he wants us to run the business of his church. Like Christ, he uses parables or short stories to bring out his point of view. In many cases, its knowing what not to do to keep the church functioning as God planned it to function. Seeing things from the other side of the pulpit is an eye-opening experience for some pastors, a situation that pastors need to look at. In his book, Norman takes a look from the congregation’s point of view. He points out that it’s only a short distance from the podium to the front row of any church, but if things go wrong, the distance gets further away, and then failure is just around the corner.

Also included are most of the people who created the shows, the producers, directors, and the writers of the shows. These books are a great source of trivia information and for most of the older folk will bring back some very fond memories. I know a lot of times we think back and say, "Who was the guy that played such and such a role?" Enjoy!

Sephardic Jews who voluntarily or forcibly converted to Catholicism in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries to avoid persecution or expulsion were known as conversos or New Christians. Some tried to live the double life of a Crypto-Jew, outwardly embracing Christianity while secretly maintaining Jewish practices. Others were in a state that was neither Jewish nor Christian, and, as painful and humiliating as it was, these Marranos (a term for conversos that became abusive), actually created a new kind of modern personality. By tracing the usage of this disparaging term, Masks in the Mirror also explores the nature of the historical circumstances as it becomes evident that anyone living under these circumstances - constantly threatened and persecuted by the Inquisition and suspected of being heretics and untrustworthy by their Christian colleagues and neighbors - could be driven to a state of madness. Focusing on families and childrearing, this book attempts to grasp the structures of feeling that created such madness, which while debilitating could often be creative and exciting, especially among poets, playwrights, and novelists. It looks at the play of masks, the secrecy and the illusion, that Marranos experienced daily, which some attempted to exorcise in their writings, and it explores the possibility of applying the concept of Marranism generically.

Nuclear proliferation in the Middle East remains an issue of concern. Saudi Arabia’s actions will largely rest on Iran’s decisions, and discussions and preparations within Saudi Arabia would suggest that it is ready to react to potential shifts in the region’s nuclear powers. Saudi Arabia and Nuclear Weapons uses an "inside out" approach that emphasises the Saudis’ own national interests in relation to the nuclear threat, and their understanding of the role of nuclear weapons in defense, foreign policy and the concept of deterrence. It is the first study with comprehensive use of the local Arabic language military and civilian media to provide this understanding of official thinking and policy. The Saudi case study is contextualised against the prevailing proliferation models, to conclude that the Saudi case shares both commonalities and elements of uniqueness with other proliferation cases, implying the need for a ‘multi-causal’ approach. Its comparative analysis also suggests potential implications applicable more broadly to the issue of nuclear proliferation. A comprehensive study of Saudi Arabia’s attitude to nuclear weapons, this book offers an exploration of nuclear proliferation that would interest students, scholars and policymakers working in Middle East studies, as well as Military and nuclear proliferation studies.
