The work reviews various refrigeration technologies that have come across the globe in the recent past. The author analyses the effective expansion technology, pinch technology and nanotechnology for refrigeration. Moreover, the direct expansion geothermal refrigeration system, the heat driven absorption refrigeration technology, solar-driven ejector refrigeration technologies and the solar-driven hybrid absorption-thermochemical refrigeration system will be disscussed.
