When we feel that we aren’t enough, or that we aren’t good enough, we also fear that we’ll never have enough. Money. We love it. We hate it. If we don’t have enough, we’re struggling to get more. If we do have it, we’re fighting to hold on to it. Why does money have to be such a source of anxiety? Is it possible to find peace? Yes! According to master integrative coach Nancy Levin, the real key to creating financial freedom isn’t changing what we do, it’s changing our limiting beliefs about how we feel —and that requires more than just learning how to invest. In Worthy, Nancy makes an essential, eye-opening connection: the state of our net worth is a direct reflection of our self-worth. Then she shows us how to get to the root of the problem and do the internal work that’s needed to replace feelings of unworthiness with a solid sense of our own value. Filled with inspiring real-life stories and thought-provoking questions and answers, her 10-step plan helps us to: • Get real about the money issues we face every day • Examine the excuses we use to avoid creating the life we really want • Be willing to see ourselves as worthy of abundance in all its forms • Take back our financial power —and watch amazing things start to happen Whether we’re looking for financial ease or a new relationship with money and ourselves, Worthy will give us the tools to clear the path for wholeness, fulfillment, and richness in all areas of our lives, not just in our bank accounts.
Intergenerational Space offers insight into the transforming relationships between younger and older members of contemporary societies. The chapter selection brings together scholars from around the world in order to address pressing questions both about the nature of contemporary generational divisions as well as the complex ways in which members of different generations are (and can be) involved in each other’s lives. These questions include: how do particular kinds of spaces and spatial arrangements (e.g. cities, neighbourhoods, institutions, leisure sites) facilitate and limit intergenerational contact and encounters? What processes and spaces influence the intergenerational negotiation and contestation of values, beliefs, and social memory, producing patterns of both continuity and change? And if generational separation and segregation are in fact significant social problems across a range of contexts—as a significant body of research and commentary attests—how can this be ameliorated? The chapters in this collection make original contributions to these debates drawing on original research from Belgium, China, Finland, Poland, Senegal, Singapore, Tanzania, Uganda, the United States and the United Kingdom. .

A unique guide that combines the best of traditional value theory with an innovative approach to assessing value in low or non-dividend paying stocks In the 1990s, America's focus on productivity and innovation led to huge gains in technology, communication, and healthcare stocks, and contributed to the transformation of the U.S. stock market from a value (dividend-paying orientation) to a growth (nondividend-paying) bias. During this time, forward thinking value managers began to develop analytical tools for valuing nondividend paying stocks. These tools allowed them to evaluate and identify the best investments in both traditional and nontraditional value sectors. At the forefront of this movement was author Nancy Tengler who, along with Noel DeDora, developed "Relative Value Discipline," an approach-which combines two proven methods for valuing growth stocks: Relative Dividend Yield and Relative-to-Price Sales. The combination of these approaches allows individuals to invest across the investment universe regardless of dividend policies. New Era Value Investing introduces the proven method known as Relative Value Discipline by combining the excitement of developing a new investment discipline with the lessons learned through the application of this new methodology in the real world. In addition to providing an insider's look at an investment manager's experience in adopting a new investment approach, this book creates a context for understanding the transformation of the U.S. economy, and offers expert insights beyond those of traditional value theory. Nancy Tengler (San Francisco, CA) is President and Chief Investment Officer of Fremont Investment Advisors. She is coauthor of Relative Dividend Yield: Common Stock Investing for Income and Appreciation (Wiley: 0-471-53652-0). She has appeared on numerous financial radio and television programs, including CNN/fn and is frequently quoted in financial publications such as The Wall Street Journal.
The Main Line Mutt is a Heartwarming Tale of a Mixed Breed Dog Named Maggie "When Maggie moves to a new upscale neighborhood, she encounters the snobbishness of the purebred dogs, who all look down on her because she is a mutt. Maggie attends a big dog show but can't enter as a contestant because she isn't purebred. Through her warmth and charm, she manages to win the hearts of the judges, and a blue ribbon for 'best of all breeds.' Afterwards, all the other dogs become much friendlier. The colorful illustrations capture the feeling of the text, with attention to the expressions of the dogs and people. A touching story about what really matters in life." -- Douglas Florian, author/illustrator of Poetrees "The Main Line Mutt is a delightful story with a heartwarming message. Children will enjoy the storyline and the illustrations and adults will enjoy the humor and the lesson of the story. Talented writers, Nancy and Michael Schwartz, bring their love of dogs, combined with their compassion, to create an inspiring tale." -- Susie Garber, writer and literacy coach, grades 1-12 "The Main Line Mutt is a wonderful story about accepting differences. This book presents a wonderful opportunity to share just how special it is to be loved and appreciated for all one is and all that one can become." -- Liz Mennig, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction (retired) "What a wonderful book! I love how it celebrates Maggie's uniqueness! It's important to remember that being different is OK and to respect oneself, as well as others. Self-confidence comes from self-love and feelings of worth and value. " -- Noriko Lovasz, B.A., M.S.M., receptionist at Great Valley Pet Hotel "The Main Line Mutt will be enjoyed by both animal lovers and those who do not have pets. The book provides an opportunity for young children to think about friendships, rejection and the effects of moving from their home. It is an excellent jumping-off point for discussion about these topics." -- Dr. Elizabeth Girshick, Licensed Psychologist From Loving Healing Press www.LHPress.com

The Audition digs deep: its fresh, heartfelt poems enchant, challenge, and uplift while conveying our yearning for connection and reconciliation. They explore, in three parts, Longing, Limbo, and Restoration. The poetry's driving, musical quality has an evocative urgency and is immersive with a touch of the absurd. Hopeful in tone, The Audition takes us on a journey and, with the concluding poem, "Unrestored," we have both arrived and are on the way to a higher place. Influences that can be felt include poets Guillaume Apollinaire for his melodic patterns and Emily Dickinson for her elevation of the quotidian, as well as lay theologian William Stringfellow's reckoning with alienation. Moses Maimonides, Dante, and Gaspara Stampa get mentions, as do John Milton, Christina Rossetti, and Aldous Huxley. "The Bridge Hears" recalls Paris, and "The Handshake" pays tribute to the poet's meeting Queen Elizabeth II, while "Rupture" is a homage to Black Elk at Wounded Knee.

FOREWORD: From Pastor and friend Brother Earl Stovall for my sister in Christ, Nancy Shoap. Transitioning from a skilled teller of spiritual truths, through the medium of story, Nancy's newest offering comes to us as words from an inspired and gifted teacher. She successfully finds a way to let us look deep in her own heart and gain insight on how her journey of faith has been shaped and informed with every (God present) life encounter. Nancy reaches beyond; providing with a collection of delightful accounts of God's blessings (book one) calling us to awareness and the appropriate response to God's work of praise (book two), into the deeper spiritual understanding that God is always here making the possibilities for every circumstance endless. These blessings are not held in reserve for a privileged few, but are readily available to anyone who chooses to acknowledge and live in partnership with God. Remember He is here! With us, all the time! If you make yourself available, God will make you able. Nancy weaves the fundamental truththat, being willing and available is accomplished though faith and always With God's Help. A fertile and uplifting read, well worth the time! NANCY SHOAP, Author and Speaker, her husband Dave, and their cat Ace live in Walnut Bottom, PA. Several years ago she wrote a story entitled With God's Help which was published by Guideposts. This inspired her to write the first book. While promoting that book by sharing their testimony; she felt lead to create an outreach ministry. Many people told them how they were encouraged and reminded of a blessing in their life. This was the motivation for book two. Through various experiences and opportunities she realized that everything accomplished was only With God's Help to write and publish this book.
This book brings to the reader, a true story of Frederick A. York and Nancy Runyon-Yost, two people who came together during their middle adult years to form a relationship that withstood extreme personal challenges. Growing up with an alcoholic father and having been subjected to sexual abuse as a child and adolescent, limited Frederick´s ability to function well in the real world. This was followed by a series of empty relationships and a failed marriage, which only further added to his lack of self worth. In l978 , a horrendous crime in California nearly ended his life, leaving him a brain damaged and disabled individual. His own addiction to alcohol further contributed to his personal deterioration. This sensitive and musically talented man went through years of counseling to assist him in dealing with reality. It was this therapy, combined with his relationship with Nancy that evolved into the deep, caring committment that was greatly responsible for rebuilding and renewing his life. After a youth of music and art interests, Nancy married young and became a mother. After a divorce, she returned to college, earned two degrees and became a teacher and artist. She met Frederick in the late 60´s, after which she served as matron of honor at his wedding to her best friend. Years later after his marriage dissolved, and after the horrific trauma in California, he found her name and phone number in his journals. Having no memory of her, he contacted her, which resulted in their getting together and forging the relationship that changed both of their lives forever. Frederick´s brain damage made it impossible for him to function as he had in the past, and his fear of facing himself with his own shortcomings made every day extremely frightening for him. He drowned himself in alcohol, which only manifested itself in dark and distressing tirades which he inflicted on himelf, his family, and especially Nancy. Over 900 letters which were written by the pair, and excerpts from 30 years of his saved journals, were used to assist in creating their story. Through her support and reassuring love, Nancy helped Frederick to regain his memories, piano skills and self worth. This involvement was carried out over 25 years and demanded great perserverence on both their parts. In spite of the many frightening incidents that occurred, the humor and joy they shared along the way, provided the comic relief necessary to cope with the possible nightmare that always continued to lurk in the shadows. It is this remarkable alliance that is the basis for "The PAIR Tree.
