One of the key changes in employment patterns in the 1980s was the growth in UK self-employment, and the increase within this of particular groups. There is little evidence on the extent to which self-employment has become an important career destination for new graduate. The graduate labour market is changing, and graduates can no longer expect stability and linear career profession in organization.
