The Ahmadiyya community, founded by Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) of Qadian in the last century in India, is one of the most dynamic missionary Islamic movements in the world today. Despite persecutions in Pakistan and some other Muslim-majority states, the community has continued to prosper around the world with its peaceful propagation of Islam. While the community has long been accused of holding heretical beliefs by other Muslim groups, the Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya has always defended the idea of Divinely-revealed guidance descending on God's chosen servants in every era of Islam. As the community enter into its second century, Hadhrat Imam Muhyi-ud-Din Al Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim of Mauritius, who is a recipient of Divine inspirations and spiritual titles as understood within Ahmadiyya Islam, announced that he has a Divinely-inspired mission in the world, especially to reform the Ahmadi Muslims. On the other hand, the supreme head of the Ahmadiyya community, the Khalifatul Massih, claims infallible authority on all spiritual matters within, and hence the contemporary Ahmadiyya establishment rejects the claims of Divine revelations as a looming threat to the institutional order of the community. Most people today are ignorant of the doctrinal perceptions and interpretative understandings that gave birth to, and continue to sustain the pious facade of Ahmadiyya Khilafat and how the system incrementally and inexorably corroded the very idea of Divinely-revealed guidance. Micronutrient research has been an important component of the soil fertility and plant nutrition program in Pakistan since the identification of zinc deficiency in rice in 1969. Since then, considerable progress has been made on diagnosis and management of micronutrient nutrition problems in crops. However, now there is growing R&D evidence that micronutrient malnutrition in humans could be addressed through enriching staple food grains with micronutrients. This book presents the latest R&D information on micronutrient problems in crop plants/cropping systems and their corrective measures.
