The only good thing about pain is that it connects. And “Lives not Lived” is a story about the same connection. It is a story about Haree and Naina who are dealing with the same kind of struggles but are still hoping to survive. This book talks about child marriage, abuse, and courage. It's a story about all the innocent children who could not protect themselves. It’s a journey of women who always lived in silence. It’s a silent journey we all go through or see around us. Haree, a young girl was married off when she was 16. She always lived a simple life. She had accepted the anger that her father had for her mother for giving birth to only girls the way women lived and were treated, everything was acceptable to her. She had no desire of any kind until she married Ram. Naina is different from Haree. She did not want to accept the restrictions, neither she wants to break them. All she wants is to live in her own imagination where she could play and sing and dance. But everything changes for both of them when they came face to face with pain. When life broke them, they call out every ounce of courage to save themselves and others around them.

What influences political behavior more -- one's gender or one's gendered personality traits? Certain gendered traits have long been associated with particular political leanings in American politics. For example, the Democratic Party is thought to have a compassionate, feminine nature while the Republican Party is deemed to have a tougher, more masculine nature. Masculinity, Femininity, and American Political Behavior, a first-of-its-kind analysis of the effects of individuals' gendered personality traits -- masculinity and femininity -- on their political attitudes and behavior, argues that gendered personalities, and not biological sex, are what drive the political behavior of individual citizens. Drawing on a groundbreaking national survey measuring gendered personality traits and political preferences, the book shows that individuals' levels of masculine and feminine personality traits help to determine their party identification, vote choice, ideology, and political engagement. And in conjunction with biological sex, these traits also influence attitudes about sex roles. For example, the more strongly an individual identifies with "feminine" characteristics, the more strongly they identify with the Democratic Party. Likewise, the more "masculine" an individual, the more they are drawn to the GOP. The book also demonstrates that, despite conventional wisdom, biological sex does not dictate gendered personalities. As such, the personality trait approach of the book moves gender and politics research well beyond the traditional male/female dichotomy. Moreover, Masculinity, Femininity, and American Political Behavior points to new and as yet underexplored strategies for candidate campaigns, get out the vote efforts, and officeholders' governing behavior.

From the lower valleys to the high mountain slopes, Himachal Pradesh is home to a broad range of wild edible plants and animals, each of which has its own distinctive tastes, textures, and applications. The Kafal fruit, also known as Myrica esculenta, is an evergreen tree-borne fruit that is highly appreciated for its culinary qualities in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Small and round these berries have a flavor that is both sweet and sour, and they are frequently employed in the preparation of jams, jellies, and syrups. In a similar vein, the Hisalu fruit (Rubus ellipticus), which resembles a raspberry and is enjoyed for its sweetness and utilized in a wide variety of culinary applications, can be found in some South American countries. In addition, Himachal Pradesh is home to a wide range of leafy greens, many of which are wildcrafted due to the high nutritional value they have. Pahari Palak, also called Himalayan Dock (Rumex nepalensis), is a leafy green vegetable that is used in saag, soups, and stir-fried foods. It has a tangy flavor. The dishes are enhanced with a touch of vivacity thanks to its distinctive flavor. Morels, also known as Guchhi, are a type of wild berry that may be found growing in the forests of Himachal Pradesh These berries have a look similar to that of honeycombs, and its flavor is described as being rich and nutty. Morels are regarded as a delicacy in the world of cooking and can be found in a wide variety of gourmet dishes. It is crucial to highlight that although these wild edible plants provide a connection to nature and a rich culinary experience, adequate knowledge and identification are required in order to ensure that foraging in the wild is done in a safe manner. Before consuming any wild plants, it is best to verify their identity by consulting with local specialists or using a good field guide.
