One day, after my computer had been hacked and I had changed my e-mail address, I sent out a message simply saying, Just checking in, to see if my messages were received. The next day I sent out another Just checking in but I added an inspirational thought; thus the pattern for this book was born. Every day I began to write a message to whomever in my contact list would read it. It was my devotional time shared. I began to have others ask to be added to my e-mail blog. My thoughts began to expand. I often woke up in the midnight hours with thoughts and stories from my life and experiences others had shared with me. I am so excited to capture these thoughts and ideas that, many times, I get up in the wee hours of the morning to start my time with Him. My mind is constantly open to receive what God brings to me. My purpose and goal is to bring encouragement and life changing meaning to those who read my blogs. I read and reread these blogs several times. I feel the emotion and conviction that God places in them. This has truly become a life-consuming ministry for me. I believe you could call me an "Accidental Author.

It is intended to bring a chuckle, a tear, or stir some emotion to draw the reader in and have them want to have a good day, to tell someone they love them, or just simply do something extraordinary thats not really planned to lift someones spirit Section 2 Earp Family Lore was authored by Wesley. It involves family stories of Grandma Earp. Most took place in Eastland County of Texas. It involves having to move to a new country to start over. It shares how the family always stayed in touch and how when anyone had a problem, they all joined and helped until the burdened one could walk alone. There was a time of moving on upfrom mules for plowing to a tractor and, finally, to a car. The family went from fireplace heat to butane, from lamps to electric lights, and from iceboxes to refrigerators. Section 3 Roots from the Stump was written by Molly. It involves the family from Molly and Wess grandparents to the present day. And are we related to Wyatt Earp? Are we related to Cynthia Ann Parker and Quanah Parker?

By examining six important and diverse multiethnic American women writers of the twentieth century (Kate Chopin, Anzia Yezierska, Edith Wharton, Zitkala-Ša, Nella Larsen, and Helena María Viramontes), From Subjection to Survival establishes a genealogy of how women writers claim the power and possibility of visual art to make sense of their experiences. These writers write about women and feature female protagonists who engage with art as painters, writers, muses, or icons in the texts themselves. The texts are written visually to expose the fundamental substantiation of gender in art and the unavoidable aestheticization of women in daily life. As every text in this book makes clear, women can claim substantial power through art. Yet, aestheticization is not always positive. As a consequence of such negative possibilities, the artistic self-referentiality of all of the texts in From Subjection to Survival exposes a negotiated course between subjectivity and objectness which women experience when engaging with art. Memories flood my mind as I reminisce how my journey has been a lifetime of happenings that speak to my soul with lessons that can be applied to our daily lives. These memories are conjured up at odd and, sometimes, inconvenient times. As I sat in church last Sunday and the pastor began his message, my mind captured a thought of bygone days that spoke loud and clear to my mind, and I scrambled in my bag for a pen and paper to put my thoughts down. Brother Tim must have thought he had really said something profound, and he did, but I did not write that down. It is my hope that all who read my memories and the lessons that I glean from them will take them to heart and identify with them and feel happiness, insight, and perhaps laughter as they share my memories and truths.

Among the narratives covered are agroecology, food sovereignty and technological innovation. The book draws on interviews and recorded speeches by a broad range of stakeholders, including international policymakers, philanthropists, academics and researchers, workers in the food and agricultural industries and activists working for NGOs and social movements. In doing so, it presents contrasting narratives and their implicit or explicit theories of change. This approach is vitally important as decisions made by policymakers over the next few years, based on competing narratives, will have a major influence on who will eat what, how food will be produced, and who will have a voice is shaping food systems. This book is filled with stories about ordinary everyday life. One story is Does Butter Grow on Trees? It just seemed to me that most of our younger generation might just think that. I ended the story with being thankful that we are blessed with butter in the store without us having to do anything but pay for it, so maybe it does grow on trees! You just need to read that story, it will take you back to churns, cream, and milking cows. Some of the stories are funny. Some are sad; they brought tears to my eyes as I wrote them. A sad story shares the pain and sorrow that my good friend endured as she lost her young daughter to cancer. It moves from just surviving to being comforted; this is a must read. I get most of my funny stories from life with my sweet Bill. Just this week, I remember him getting up early. I asked why, and he said he couldnt sleep. He continued to be quiet and seemed sad. I asked why, and he replied that the hairdresser cut his hair too short. And if that wasnt bad enough, he did not know how we were going to get our riding lawn mower loaded to take it to the shopall really big stuff. Well, did I ever have some words of wisdom for him. That will one day be a story. His hair will grow, and we did get the mower loaded! And there are people right around us that really have problems! This book will not be boring. It moves from sad to glad; it moves from heartbreak to hope. I will take you on trips of understanding and bring you back smarter than when you left. Its a good book full of truth that will reflect Gods love right into your very soul!

What a heritage my brother Wes, my sister Jo, and I had as we were loved and mentored by Grandma Earp. That was her main responsibility. Stories in this fourth book have more stories about my children, my friends, and especially my husband, Bill. He continues to make me laugh a lot at his expense.
