Truth About the Split, the English translation of A’ina’-e-Sadaqat, written by Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih II(ra), is a detailed reply to The Split by Maulawi Muhammad Ali, who after having denied the institution of Khilafat had seceded from the main body of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama‘at and established his party headquarters at Lahore. Truth About the Split has been divided into two main parts. The first part consists of the refutation of the eleven misstatements and unfounded charges leveled against Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih II(ra) in The Split, and of the thoroughly fabricated story of the Ahmadiyya dissension. First few misstatements revolve around a person named Zahiruddin who was believed to be, by the Lahore Party, the originator of the belief of the prophethood of the Promised Messiah(as). Another controversy was whether those who denied the Promised Messiah(as) should be regarded as Muslims or Kafir-bil-Ma’mur. In fact, Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih II(ra) had already proved that the Promised Messiah(as) regarded them as the latter. Another controversy generated by Maulawi Muhammad Ali was that people had pledged Bai‘at with the second Khalifa in ignorance, and that they had later renounced their Bai‘at with him. The second part of the book deals with the true story of the split. It elaborates how Khawaja Kamaluddin, Maulawi Muhammad Ali and few others intrigued to bring down the Institution of Khilafat during the time of Hazrat Khalifatul Masih I(ra), how they openly showed their hostility after his demise by proposing delay in the election of the next Khalifa, and what finally impelled them to set up their own separate organization. The book then sets out, in clear terms—in the light of Al-Wasiyyat by the Promised Messiah(as)—as to who (Anjuman or the Khalifa) should actually succeed the Promised Messiah(as).
* Malik Jahangir, the man who would be Prime Minister of Pakistan, is dead. Assassinated during a public rally at the peak of his election campaign. Dr. Kamran Haider, a brilliant trauma surgeon, and his accidental partner Sana Aziz, a feisty female reporter, are unwittingly caught in a cat and mouse game with a ruthless assassin who was brought up in a missionary orphanage in the Bronx. Caught between the demons that have haunted him all his life, and the unfamiliar sights and sounds of the street of Pakistans capitol, he hunts the two people who have the information to prove that assassination of Malik Jahangir may have motives beyond local politics and religious fundamentalism. As the story unfolds, characters in Pakistani and American politics emerge, revealing a conspiracy that involves political ambitions, regional dominance and motives rooted in a race for the natural resources of the region.
The Malfuzat are a compilation of discourses, letters and narrations of the Promised Messiah, may the peace of Allah be upon him. They offer a unique insight into the interactions between the Promised Messiah(as) and his eager audiences—great and small—and how his Divinely inspired wisdom and intellect quenched the souls of a world thirsting for guidance. These indescribably enchanting experiences compelled eyewitnesses to record them in an attempt to seize those special moments for future generations in the hopes that they might somewhat behold the magnetic aura radiating from the long-awaited Imam of the Age. This edition of Malfuzat comprises a collection collated from various newspapers and periodicals that spans from 1900 to 1901.
Barahin-e-Ahmadiyya Part V was completed after a delay of twenty-three years since Parts I to IV were published. This period served to corroborate the Promised Messiah's(as) mission because it proved that the prophecies documented in the earlier parts came true against all odds, and he had God's full support, for God would not have spared a false claimant for such a long time. When the Promised Messiah(as) began writing the earlier parts of Barahin-e-Ahmadiyya, he was a solitary man of the most meagre means living in the remote village of Qadian. By the time he wrote Part V, the help of Allah the Exalted had blessed him with international renown with every resource at his disposal and a flourishing community numbering into hundreds of thousands. In short, Barahin-e-Ahmadiyya Part V is the consummation of arguments in support of the divine origin of the Holy Quran and the Prophethood of the Holy Prophet Muhammad(sas). It is also a living testimony of the claims of the Promised Messiah(as) to be the divinely ordained Messiah of the Latter Days.
In this book the Promised Messiah, on whom be peace, discusses the philosophy of divine revelation, the three categories of people who claim to receive revelation, and the distinction of the truthful from the false. He then establishes his truthfulness by documenting over 200 Signs, including the fulfillment of prophecies made by the Holy Prophet Muhammad, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, other men of God, earlier scriptures, and his own revelations spanning over twenty-five years. The author cites numerous examples of his enemies who publicly predicted his downfall and demise, only to become the very victims of their own prophecies. God, however, protected him against every assault, while continuously reassuring him of His promise to bless his Community—a promise which continues to bear the seal and testimony of history. The author also appeals to the followers of different faiths to read this book cover to cover to appreciate and accept this evidence as proof that God is One and the Holy Prophet Muhammad is the Messenger of God, and that he is the Promised Messiah raised to unite humanity under the banner of Islam.
In Testimony of the Holy Quran, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as) of Qadian enumerates the Signs of Latter Days as described by the Holy Quran and demonstrates how the prophecies regarding the advent of the Promised Messiah are fulfilled in his person. He also explains the vital position of the Hadith in Islam and shows that these, too, inform us of the appearance of a reformer in this very age, making it incumbent upon today’s Muslims to recognize their Imam. In short, the topics covered in this book comprise the foundational arguments for one of the core tenets of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community; namely, that the ahadith prophesying the advent of the Latter Day Messiah are indeed reliable and are supported by Quranic testimony.

This is the fifth volume of a set comprising of an English translation of the extracts from the writings, speeches, announcements and disclosures of the Promised Messiah, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian (1835-1908), the Holy Founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community [peace be upon him]. The book presents the extracts from the works of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad relating to the following topics: • Miracles, Signs and Prophecies • Marriage and Righteous Progeny • The Conference of Great Religions • ‘Abdullah Atham • Lekh Ram • The Plague • The Great Victory • Extraordinary Renown and Divine Succour • Earthquakes and Wars • King of the Pen • The Revealed Sermon • Miscellaneous Signs
The book, The Miracle of Ahmad (I‘jāz-e-Ahmadi) is one of the signs of truthfulness of the Founder of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. It was written in 1902 when an opponent in Mudh, India alleged that all prophecies made by Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as) were false and that he did not possess the miraculous knowledge of the Arabic language he had claimed. In response, the Promised Messiah(as) wrote this book containing a lengthy Arabic Qasīdah [ode] in praise of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, in a mere five days. He challenged his opponents to produce the like of it and announced a prize money of Rs. 10,000 which was his total worth at the time. No one arose to the challenge. Instead, a large number of residents of town of Mudh were decimated by the plague as prophesied in this book.
Some of my friends have been asking me to write about my own spiritual journey in Islam. How did it begin? Maybe why? What did I find useful and beneficial? What was difficult and what gave me the most joy? Though I was born in a Muslim family, belief is a matter of conscious acceptance, not of accidental birth. What we choose to believe or reject must be done thoughtfully after due reflection and investigation because our present and our everlasting future both depend on it. It can't be left to incidental following of traditions and customs we don't even know the origin or meanings of just because our parents or elders used to do them. One's spiritual journey is as important, if not more, than one's journey in this life in terms of one's career or other criteria and so deserves equal mindshare and effort.
Lujjatun-Nur [The Ocean of Light] was written by Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, the Promised Messiah(as) and its purpose was to convey the message of the revival of Islam to the Arab and Persian world. Lujjatun-Nur is a timeless writing. It depicts the condition of the Muslims and the turmoil the Muslim Ummah faces. The Promised Messiah(as) outlines his claim and the need for a reformer, presenting arguments in support of his holy person being the Messiah of the Latter Days. When we read this writing and reflect upon the Muslim world today, we find a robust analysis that holds true even after 120 years: events have unfolded exactly as the Promised Messiah(as) foretold.
It has been said that true bankruptcy is a full belly and an empty soul. Religion must be a matter of conscious choice. Not a matter of accidental birth. Because on it depends our peace of mind, how we view the world, our relationships with others, what choices we make and the results of those choices in this life and the Hereafter. What we choose to believe or reject must be done thoughtfully after due reflection and investigation because our present and our everlasting future both depend on it. It can't be left to incidental following of traditions and customs we don't even know the origin or meanings of just because our parents or elders used to do them. One's spiritual journey is as important if not more, as one's journey in this life in terms of one's career or other criteria and so deserves an equal mindshare and effort.I wish you all the best in your quest for knowledge and pray that you are guided to the truth because in the end it is essential that we know what the truth is and that we believe it and prepare for it. It is the nature of reality that it does not depend on belief for its existence and that one day it has to be faced whether we chose to believe in it or not.
The Gulf Arab states became rich by accident. Their golden ticket was oil, which has become the lifeblood of their social and economic systems. But they are prone to become a ‘vanishing Eden’, if the oil curse endures further and economic transformation remains a mirage. LIFE AFTER OIL highlights the economic vulnerability of the Gulf states after the oil party ends. The region depends heavily on imports financed by petrodollars. So, when demand for oil sinks and prices plummet, or when oil and gas reserves ultimately vanish, their survival will be extremely challenged. LIFE AFTER OIL raises the alarm to the impending survival challenges to face the burgeoning Gulf societies in the post-oil era, and tackles the ultimate question: what will the future look like?
Lecture Sialkot was delivered (in Urdu) by the Promised Messiah on 2nd November 1904, before a large gathering of Hindus and Muslims. In this lecture, the Promised Messiah, said that although all religions had emanated from God, Islam is now the only living religion, for it alone continues to be nurtured by Divine communication. He also declared that just as he had come in the spirit of the Messiah son of Mary for the reformation of Muslims and Christians, so had he come as Krishna for the Hindus.

The Heavenly Decree is the English translation of Asmani Faisala by Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, the Promised Messiah and Mahdi(as) and the Founder of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at. It is addressed to his contemporary ulema, specially Miyan Nazir Husain Dehlawi and Maulawi Muhammad Husain of Batala who had issued a fatwa of heresy against the Promised Messiah(as) and declared him a non-Muslim, because he (the Promised Messiah) had claimed that Jesus Christ had died a natural death and the second coming of Masih ibni Maram (Jesus Christ) is fulfilled by the advent of Hadrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as). Because (by the time the book was written) the ulema had refused to debate this issue with the Promised Messiah, he invited them, in this book, to a spiritual contest in which the question whether someone is a Muslim or not would be settled by Allah himself on the basis of four criteria of a true believer as laid down by Him in the Holy Quran. He also spelled out the modus operandi of this contest and fixed the period of time frame within which this contest would be decreed by Allah. He declared that God would not desert him and would help him and would grant him victory.
The word civilization, which is a relatively recent application from eighteenth-century, when came into currency, is generally invoked more with a rhetorical flourish than argued in philosophical perspective. But history of knowledge considers its true object is the study of human mind, to know what his mind has believed, thought, and felt in diverse periods of its progression in the history of a civilization. Mirza Iqbal Ashraf, as a research scholar of Islamic and Western philosophies identifying the “Four Explosions of Knowledge” from ancient to modern time of history of knowledge, offers the readers in Progression of Knowledge in the Western Civilization uniquely within philosophical perspective that the Western world is a civilization of knowledge. This also means, whereas it is important to understand today’s world so that we can deal with our contemporary period’s civilizational challenges, it will be incomplete if we do not assess that modernity is born from the progress made by the knowledge of the past thinkers. But knowledge does not arrive fully formed; it requires many minds, specifically those minds which are free from the civilization’s religious, cultural, and geophysical trappings. In the Progression of Knowledge in Western Civilization, Ashraf has expounded that even in modern time, no knowledge is complete without visiting the knowledge of the past, especially of the great thinkers of Classical Greek period, the scholars at the House of Wisdom in Baghdad, and the famous centers of knowledge at Cairo, and Cordova of Arab Spain. In this book, the author has discussed when some other regions of the world might be familiar with philosophy and science, in one way or another, why such a treasure of knowledge emerged particularly in Greece that became a foundation of voluminous work of literature in almost every field of knowledge, and how it amazingly became the foundation of the history of progression of knowledge in the Western civilization, which is timelessly flourishing until today.
In 1984 the Islamic government of Pakistan set aside all Islamic injunctions and took upon itself the burden of depriving the Ahmadi Muslims of their religious, social and human rights. In an attempt to justify this action, the Government of Pakistan published a so called White Paper under the title Qadiyaniyyat-Islam kay liyay Sangin Khatrah (Qadiyaniyyat-A Grave Threat to Islam). Although there was nothing new in this so-called White Paper and the Jama’at literature already included detailed answers to all the issues which were raised, nevertheless Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad Khalifatul-Masih IV(rta), the then Imam of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at, answered these allegations in a series of Friday sermons. These sermons (in Urdu) were published by the London Mosque in 1985 and the English translation is now being published. Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad Khalifatul-Masih IV(rta) delivered this sermon on February 8, 1985. It deals with the allegation that the Promised Messiah(as) supported the British interests in India.
The Ahmadiyya movement in Islam, founded in 1889 by Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as)—the Promised Messiah and Imam Mahdi—is one of the most powerful and dynamic religious forces in the world today. The present collection of speeches and essays, gives historical context and insight into the adversity and opposition faced by the community in its nascent years, while articulating the promise of a glorious future in which Ahmadiyyat will triumph over the world’s religions. It also addresses questions regarding certain fundamental points of belief such as the purpose of the advent of the Promised Messiah and loyalty to khilafat. Ahmadiyyat: Destiny and Progress is a lively and essential read for anyone interested in the subject.
In an abandoned schoolroom in South London lies the rusted, hulking wreck of an old aeroplane, partially buried in fine sand. How the aircraft got there is a mystery, but hidden deep inside the twisted carcass of corroded metal and glass is an incredible secret, a fabulous passport that sails across time and space. Mighty forces that once powered the plane still surge through its skeletal remains, beckoning yet another adventurer to brave the aviators chair. From Barry O Brien, the co creator of Disney's Hannah Montana, comes Ace London, the world spanning adventures of an imaginative young English boy and a mysterious forest elephant named Hannibal. Glide across East Africa, soar past Kilimanjaro, and race through the sun soaked side streets of Cairo, as Ace London tries to find his way home.
Ahmadiyyat or the True Islam was first published in 1924 and has been published many times since. It is an extended treatise of a lecture read at The Conference of Living Religions Within the Empire in London. The treatise exhaustively deals with the subjects as the conception of God, His relation to man and attainment of Communion with Him. It also deals with the Islamic teachings on morals and their social aspects—relations within family, the community, between partners in business and between government and people. Nature of the human soul, life after death and the nature of heaven and hell have also been addressed. Most important of all is that all the issues dealt with in the treatise have been supported and documented from the Holy Quran and Hadith which places this unique dissertation among the most authentic works on Islam. It is as relevant today as it was when first published to present the true teachings of Islam and to counter hostile propaganda against it.
One of the characteristics of modern life seems to be a breakdown of family life, the foundation of which is a happy and healthy marriage. This has vast implications on individuals and society in terms of hardship, lack of social concern and responsibility and a culture that promotes selfishness and self-satisfaction at all costs. This vicious circle propagates more destruction of marriages and the sad story grows. This short booklet is an attempt to share my learning and understanding of the main issues in a marriage and a look at what it takes to make a marriage a source of great joy and fulfillment in this life. I hope that those who read it will benefit from it and will live happy, productive and satisfactory lives. The book is focused at Muslims but others can also benefit.
For many years I have felt the need for two things: Juma Khutbaat which are relevant to contemporary issues, delivered in simple language and idiom easily understood by common people and from which they can clearly take home application lessons. For the Khateeb it is always a challenge, having to think of an idea, researching material to support it, put it together as a Khutba and delivering it. I know how much of a help it is to have ready material on hand. With that in mind I decided to publish this book of 52 Khutbas (good for the full year which has 52 weeks) which I delivered at our Masjid on Road # 9, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad (Mahmood Habib Masjid and Islamic Centre), in the hope that those who have to give Khutbas will find it useful. Naturally I hope that this book will be useful and indeed enjoyable and a source of guidance and application of the Islamic Way in our lives, not only for Khateebs but also for all those who wish to read it and take heed of the subjects. The book is presented at cost and is available as a free download from my site
