With over eight billion people on earth today, it is easy to doubt whether God could possibly know and love all of us individually. As members of the Church, we are taught that if we want something, all we need to do is pray and ask the Lord. But if we don't get the answer we seek, or if we struggle to hear an answer at all, that doubt can deepen into frustration, anger, or feelings of unworthiness. In this inspiring book, Latter-day Saint educator and TEDx speaker Michelle Porcelli emphasizes that Heavenly Father does answer our prayers-each and every one. With this insightful discussion, you will discover that • God knows you individually and answers your prayers according to His desire for your life. • Even when we don't get the answers we want, God presents us with learning opportunities that will strengthen our eternal bonds. • God is in the details of your life and in the lives of each person around the world. The true stories in this book testify of God and His son, Jesus Christ, and stand as a witness that you are not forgotten. You will be found!

After studying the current research on literacy learning for young children, delving into the beliefs and schools of Reggio Emilia, and discovering the Maker Movement, the authors created StoryMaking. With great success, they implemented it in their diverse and large public school district. StoryMaking shares the processes, first steps, next steps, uses for materials, and lessons learned so teachers can implement their own versions in their classrooms. The book shares practical suggestions, student samples, photographs, anchor charts, and other forms of documentation.
The level of psychological distress and the ability to adjust to a diagnosis of cancer are highly variable. Medical factors, psychological factors prior to diagnosis and social factors account for this variability. By understanding these variables, the clinician can better assess and manage the distress caused by the diagnosis and provide the most appropriate medical treatment or psychological intervention. This practical handbook will address the principal behavioural and psychological problems associated with cancer. Where appropriate, it adopts a broader, multicultural perspective, in line with the aim of the World Psychiatric Association and the Federation of Psycho-Oncology societies. The main aims of the book are: to present the significant and challenging clinical problems encountered when caring for cancer patients and their families, including assessment, diagnosis and treatment to describe the best responses to these challenges, summarizing the evidence base and digesting clinical experience where evidence from clinical trials is lacking to discuss the emerging themes in psycho-oncology, such as genetic counselling, bioethics, cultural issues and cultural diversity to provide practical suggestions for dealing with special populations, such as children, the elderly, long-term survivors or mentally ill patients. The book is designed to be easy to read and to reference, with information clearly displayed in concise tables and boxes accompanied by further detail within the text. Chapters feature clinical vignettes, including management algorithms Key Points Suggested further reading The editors aim to provide an indispensable tool for junior doctors in training in either psychiatry, psychology or oncology, general practitioners, community psychiatric nurses, palliative care physicians and other members of the multidisciplinary team. With a Foreword by the pioneer in psycho-oncology, Professor Jimmie Holland.
To date, transfer factors hold promise as one of the most exciting discovery in immunology and disease prevention. As the 21st century unfolds, these small molecules represent an important key to human health and well-being. Transfer factors are material present in dialysable leukocyte extracts capable of transferring cell-mediated immunity to pathogens. Transfer factors from one immune donor can be introduced into a non-immune recipient, potentially delivering an improved ability to fight threats to the recipient’s health. Similar to vaccines, transfer factors are prophylactic when administered prior to exposure to a pathogen. This book is an overview of basic immunology and the concept of transfer factors derived from past and current scientific publications. In this book, the properties, mechanism of action, and clinical applications of transfer factors are described. Since their discovery, evidence suggests transfer factors play an important role as immune modulators in treating diseases associated with the defective function of cell-mediated immunity such as cancer, infectious diseases, etc. The MF Plus Super Transfer Factor is then introduced including its function, characteristics, course, mode of administration, and advantages. The conclusion compiles research papers of transfer factor from years 2009 to 2020. This book will interest researchers and scientists in fields such as immunology, molecular medicine, biomedicine, immunotherapy, pathology, microbiology, and oncology.
Makerspaces is a first-to-market resource for early childhood professionals that focuses on how to cultivate the maker mind-set in the youngest learners, how to engage young children in maker-centered learning, design and introduce makerspaces, and how to select/use open-ended tools and materials. Field tested in real classrooms, home settings, libraries, and museums, the authors have practical suggestions, student samples, implementers’ suggestions, photographs, anchor charts, and many other forms of documentation. Each chapter focuses on a different type of makerspace, details ways to successfully set up that makerspaces, offers provocation ideas for how to extend learning, and shows how educators can document evidence of how a child can develop a stronger growth mind-set by interacting with the makerspace. Full-color demonstrative photos give readers additional visual guidance.
