Dr. Gorlin retires as editor in this edition and co-editor Raoul Hennekam takes over. When the International Society of Cryptozoology (ISC) was formed in 1982, the founders declared that the branch of science is also concerned with "the possible existence of known animals in areas where they are not supposed to occur (either now or in the past) as well as the unknown persistence of presumed extinct animals to the present time or to the recent past...what makes an animal of interest to cryptology is that it is unexpected." This reference work presents a "flesh and blood" view of cryptozoology. Here, 2,744 entries are listed, the majority of which each describe one specific creature or type of creature. Other entries cover 742 places where unnamed cryptids are said to appear; profiles of 77 groups and 112 individuals who have contributed to the field; descriptions of objects and events important to the subject; and essays on cryptotourism and hoaxes, for example. Appendices offer a timeline of zoological discoveries, annotated lists of movies and television series with cryptozoological themes, a list of crypto-fiction titles and a list of Internet websites devoted to cryptozoology.

While the key partnership acts (the Partnership Act 1890, the Limited Partnerships Act 1907 and the Investment Limited Partnerships Act 1994) have not changed to any significant degree since publication of the first edition, the Irish Government has approved changes to the Investment Limited Partnerships Act 1994 and this is dealt with in the book. Other analysis of legislation in the book has been been updated to reflect the changes since the first edition, in particular the material relating to Companies Act 2014.

A breakthrough therapy in the mental health field, Rebuilding Therapy was developed by psychologist Michael Gass, primarily, as a means of assisting individuals and families in rebuilding psychologically from past mistreatment, dysfunction, or trauma. It incorporates methodology, techniques, and theory from Psychodrama, a vital part of Rebuilding Therapy, while integrating Transactional Analysis, primarily Structural Analysis and the influence of Script Analysis, and Redecision Therapy to create its distinctive theoretical foundations, methods, and approaches. Relaxation exercises or relaxation, which is equivalent to hypnosis, is used as needed. Rebuilding Therapy is based on the belief that a person is basically the product of his or her past. Its primary focus is for the patient to clinically relive major abusive, rejecting, traumatic, or negative life experiences in order to face unhealthy feelings, thinking, and decisions associated with them, which the patient can then release, change, and rebuild from. In addition to postbirth experiences, Rebuilding Therapy pays attention to prenatal influences and the birth process, regarding their effect on psychological functioning and personality development, while also addressing these factors therapeutically. Rebuilding Therapy also has the methodology to solely work with present issues as needed. In the first book on this reconstructive therapy, Gass details its theoretical foundations, methodology, and approaches to acquaint mental health and related professionals with its value on a short and long term basis; to expand on the understanding of personality development and psychological functioning; and to further expose this and related psychotherapies for use in other arenas on the local, state, and international levels in such areas as law enforcement, corrections, education, religion, business, politics, and international relations, with the aim of reducing conflict and inappropriate behavior and improving human relationships.

This book examines the two chief anatomical and physiological embodi-ment theories of voluntary animal motion, which I call the cardiosinew and cerebroneuromuscular theories of motion, from the time of Aristotle (384-322 B.C.) to that of Mondino (d. A.D. 1326). The study of animal motion commenced with the ancient Greek natural scientist Aristotle who wrote the monograph 'On the motion of animals' (De motu animalium). Subsequent inquiries into voluntary animal motion may be found in a variety of Greek, Latin, and Arabic compendia, commentaries, and encyclopedias throughout the ancient and medieval periods. The motion of animals was considered relevant to natural philosophers and theologians investigating the nature of the soul, and to physicians seeking to discover the causes of disorders of voluntary movement such as epilepsy and tetany. The book fills a gap in the scholarly literature concerned with pre-modern studies of the anatomical and physiological mechanisms of will and bodily movement. The accompanying photographs of my own anatomical dissections illuminate ancient and medieval conceptual, empirical, and experimental methods of anatomical and physiological research.
