Nub was my dad. His name was Lawrence. He is on the right. His brother Theodore is on the left. This picture was taken about 1948. Most of this book was put together to make fiction. This book is about two boys that were brothers growing up about 1910. It has a lot of history, religion and a cook book at the end. Dad gave people nick names, mine was Bow, You pronounce it like Bow in (Bow and Arrows). Lots of names in which were used have been changed, like Bow for my uncle. The picture on the left of the back is of Earl Hamner and I. There isn't and drugs, killing, bed hopping or bad language in it. My other book that are out are (Nub and Bow) and (Between the Tracks).

Many young people today yearn to make a positive difference in the world—and not just when they’re grown up. Presented with an opportunity and support, they have the ability to do that. Alexander the Great, Joan of Arc, Mary Shelley, (author of Frankenstein) and Louis Braille (who created the Braille system), all made a major contribution to society before they were out of their teens. Although young people are idealistic, they have a sincere desire to help those less fortunate than they are in the world. However, the disheartening message that society sends them is, “Not yet; you’re too young to do anything important right now.” The 15 stories of young people from around the world described in Young Enough to Change the World are proof that this message is wrong. Each of these kids and teenagers has made a positive difference in the lives of others. Moreover, most of the projects are still going strong. Everyone is very worried about her. A brief but severe desert storm brings unexpected visitors to Hannah and her family. Caught in the harsh storm, a young couple seeks shelter inside their home until it passes. The husband and his pregnant wife have walked from Nazareth because of the census. Bethlehem is their destination. Micah and Rebecca welcome them. Later that evening, two occurrences happen--one happy and the other strange. The second leads Micah and Hannah on their own journey to Bethlehem. Their guide is a bright star in the sky.

Thus there are entries for gay and lesbian novelists such as Lev Raphael and Judith Katz, whose works challenge the more orthodox definition of Jewish religious and cultural traditions; Art Speigelman, whose controversial ^IMaus^R established a new genre by combining elements of the comic book and the conventional novel; and newcomers such as Steve Stern and Max Apple, who have become more prominent within the last decade. Each entry includes a brief biography, a discussion of major works and themes, an overview of the novelist's critical reception, and a bibliography of primary and secondary sources. A thoughtful introduction summarizes Jewish-American fiction after World War II, and a selected, general bibliography lists additional sources of information.
