I invite you to read my book of poetry. It was written to reach out to loved ones, family and friends, even strangers at the time. Everyone has pain and suffering and sorrow at some time in their lives. Some deal with it with prayers, finding comfort with others, or some in anger. Each poem that I wrote was for that person and written from my heart. I have written poems of death, birth, funerals, weddings, divorces, birthdays, baptisms, special holidays, and sentimental/memories. As I wrote poems about death, I came to realize that life does go on after death, that death only removes the body, not the soul or our memories. Every poem I wrote, before writing them, I sat in quiet time with God, asking him to help me choose my words, giving me inner feelings of that person. I felt this was a given gift to me from God and my way of reaching out to others. I put no periods at the end of my writings as I want them to continue, to go on and on. I thank you for reading my book of poems. I am honored and I pray and hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them.

I have written several books of poems over many years....My poems are written for Friends/Loved ones, even Strangers, regarding Death/Birth/Marriage/Divorce....Poems about Politics/Government....Poems of Thankfulness/ of feeling Blessed.....some are my poems expressing my opinion and perception of Life and things that have happened in our lives...Many people/friends that I have met on my journey, from my first step until now Throughout this book you will see “Thank You” inserts, dedications to so many, also a few comments from some I had met who also traveled a hard road, but kept their Faith.....So many lives that were changed forever.....They ALL had a Dream/a Goal, and they reached that Goal and fulfilled their Dream Yes, the Journey has been hard and long, but I would never depart From the Memories of those I met and have touched my heart......So, as I walked back down Memory Lane, I remembered it was the turning point in my life, Nothing would I change I wanted to instill the Memory of each and every one of my friends/family who encouraged me, putting them in my book....There are too many to mention by name, but know that as I wrote this book, I was remembering each of you....I thank God for having put you in my life.....I am a better person because of you....Thank You, I will NEVER forget you Many books of Poetry I have now wrote Because I listened to God when He spoke Writing was a Therapy for me in many ways Thank You God for giving to me, these memorable days God, You know my future, it was already planned You walked with me, never letting go of my hand Many of those who You sent to me on My Life’s Way Are still with me, in my heart and memory every day Thank You God for all that You have done It is because of You, family, friends, I made it, I did overcome

It was at this new church, Lakeside Outreach Ministries that my life really took a turn. I had so many times since my son passed, kept asking God the question, why? I found my answer here. I met so many wonderful people who had so much pain and grief and illnesses in their lives, but, they never lost their faith in God. I began to write about my Pastor, Pastor Kenny Griffin and his church and his people, and when I did, I seen their pain, I felt their suffering. I cannot explain, but, people, even strangers began asking me to write about their loved one who had departed, and then come back to tell me how much the poem had meant to them. This had become my calling, this is what God wanted me to do, and as it became more and more widespread, my involvement with Jesus became more and more, the words were coming so fast, the insight I was seeing, only God knew what was happening to me. I would be nothing, nor would there be any written poetry without God, for when I sit down to write, I say a prayer to God, saying, God, please give me the words to write, and He always would. That is why I call my book of poetry, GOD SPOKE/I WROTE.

I call my book, Words in Motion for many reasons..These words/set in poem are written about everything from birth, to death, marriage, anniversaries, religion, personal, Ordinations, and yes, even political. They were written for friends, family, loved ones, and many at the request of strangersMany said they found consolation, peace, and comfort in these poems.. I thank God for giving me these wordsI promised God my Devotion and He gave me the words to write, to Put into Motion. I feel that God has given to me a Gift, if you will, to be able to express in words, the pain/happiness/ and sadness of others, even to giving words to them from a loved one who has passed on I have even been given words of things regarding freedom of speech or the right to worship in our own way, about Prayer and War. Yes, someone once said that The Pen is Mightier than the Sword, and I truly believe that to be very true, especially when God is guiding every stroke of the pen, so, I pray that you can identify with, or find comfort in any of these poems that I have written with much Love and Devotion I give to you my last book...
