Now in its fifth year of production, the Official V8 Supercar Yearbook has developed into a must have for V8 Supercar fans as it grows from strength to strength. Last year the Yearbook saw a further evolutionary step in its design and production, and is now cleaner and easier to read than ever before. It has more detail, more statistics and more photographs. Each of the 14 rounds of the 2008 Series is covered with more than 11 pages of detail, an analysis of why it happened the way it did and all with the best pictures in the sport. There is a pre-season and a post-season report which will book-end the round reports before taking a look at the 17 teams that competed in the Series. As an officially licensed product of V8 Supercars, the book gets sales support and promotions through all the official channels. It gets plugs on television and on the V8 Supercars website, and is used as a tool by the Series' commentator at the 14 racetracks to which the Series visits.
Most of the poems in this collection have been performed by their author at concerts and festivals around the country over the past dozen years. Raffills' ear for spoken rhythms and love of the live gig has been fueled by a parallel career as a concert and event promoter, band and night club manager, youth worked and former jug band musician! Such diversity provides fertile soil for a poet's musings.
