Put health and self-care at the heart of everything and you will enjoy endless benefits from the time you spend here on Mother Earth. Extreme self-care is taking care of your body, mind, heart and spirit. It is about loving yourself and others. It is about doing things you enjoy and standing up for things you think are right and serving others. Extreme self-care is living a purposeful life and standing in your divine femininity. Life is sometimes hard and serious and our duties and responsibilities crowd out time to just enjoy ourselves and have plain old fun. Stop being so serious. Life is an adventure and we are meant to have joy and fun and love along the way. We have become to sophisticated as a people and that is one of our downfalls. We need to get back to primitive godliness and simplicity if we wish to regain our health and happiness. Look at a baby or small child and see the joy they have for life, their spark, their self-confidence and self-love, go back to that! Schedule time to take care of yourself. Schedule fun time in your life. Go outside. Get in the sun. Get in the water. Play hard. Laugh out loud. Laugh until you cry. Make your life fun again. We need to relearn what our ancient ancestors knew about spending time in nature, living in community, using plants for food and medicine and recognize energy and spiritual healing as bonafide therapy. Our DNA recognizes the ancient remedies and responds with health. Learning wisdom from our Divine Feminine foremothers will put us back in touch with our inner knowing, our own divinity and purpose. Ancient wisdom and natural medicine is our pathway to vibrant physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.
What this book is about is the spiritual Divine Feminine approach to overcoming self-doubt, the other half of the story where the root to our self-doubts actually comes from. My training in holistic nutrition taught me not to just treat a symptom. For a cure you have to reverse engineer and get to the root of the problem. My intent is to get to the roots of your self-doubts and for you to have a spiritual awakening to your true self and purpose which will wipe away any lies you have believed and self-doubts they have caused. A spiritual awakening may happen all at once by learning information that will instantly change your life forever or it may happen little by little over time. When we undergo a spiritual awakening, we literally “wake up” to a feeling of more possibilities for our life. We may feel like we have outgrown our current life. We begin to question our old beliefs, habits, and social conditioning, and see that there is much more to life than what we have been taught or allowed to experience. You are more powerful than you have been allowed to believe. Your Divinity, your specialness, your femaleness, and your self worth, once revealed will wipe away any self doubt you ever had about yourself. You will be fearless and never feel you have to bow down to anyone or feel second rate to anyone again. Whether you are walking down the Goddess path for the first time, or you are already enjoying a sacred relationship with your Divine Feminine self, you will learn to eliminate self-doubt, find and fulfill your personal calling, and ultimately your inner happiness. We each have our own divine purpose and specialness which we need to find and contribute to the betterment of the world.
Unleashing Your Inner Goddess is about understanding and acknowledging that her divinity exists. Your Inner Goddess is the purest form of you. She is everything love and never concerns herself with trivial things. She’s been around for a LONG time, and knows the ways of the Universe. She also knows why you’re here! She is your Divine spark. We often make the mistake of thinking our history begins with our birth in this life and that our memories extend only from the moment of our birth. Our physical body is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to who we are and what makes us, us. We have memories and knowledge from our life before this one. Your Inner Goddess is your soul, your true essence, who always wants the best for you. She’s the part of you who truly remembers who you were before you came to this world. She’s free and wild and really doesn’t care about other people’s opinions. She’s the part of you who’s at peace with what you’ve been through and where you’re headed. It’s “You” who set the course of your life and the things you want to accomplish and learn, before you even came to this earth. It’s “You” whispering guidance to yourself about your highest path and purpose. Your Inner Goddess invariably involves how you can best serve others while being true to yourself. This part of You helps you to keep on track with your life’s purpose and in touch with your passions and joy. Your Inner Goddess has brought with her your feminine energy. She’s that part of your soul who is fully connected with the Divine Feminine. Your Inner Goddess manifests as your higher self, your soul, your spirit, your intuition, the essence of who you truly are. You might frequently hear the phrase “finding yourself ”, but finding yourself is really returning to yourself and to your Inner Goddess. Tapping into this divine feminine energy allows you to live life guided by your true essence and be in perfect flow with the magic of the universe. Every woman has an Inner Goddess, whether you realize it or not. Connecting with your Inner Goddess will automatically make you feel happier, radiant, healthier, and sexier! Your higher vibration will make you naturally glow from the inside out. You don’t need to contact your Higher Self as an entity outside of yourself, she is You! Wisdom and memories are inside of you, if you will access them. Pay attention to your desires and passions. Your truest, heartfelt desires are feedback from your Inner Goddess about what you want to do now. Living from your Inner Goddess means not sacrificing or ignoring those desires, it also means listening to those desires on a daily basis. You know you are stepping into your Goddess self and awakening your true eternal nature when you become more concerned about you inner journey than your outward one.
Latin America is characterized by a uniquely rich history of cultural and racial mixtures known collectively as mestizaje. These mixtures reflect the influences of indigenous peoples from Latin America, Europeans, and Africans, and spawn a fascinating and often volatile blend of cultural practices and products. Yet no scholarly study to date has provided an articulate context for fully appreciating and exploring the profound effects of distinct local invocations of syncretism and hybridity. Rise and Fall of the Cosmic Race fills this void by charting the history of Latin America's experience of mestizaje through the prisms of literature, the visual and performing arts, social commentary, and music. In accessible, jargon-free prose, Marilyn Grace Miller brings to life the varied perspectives of a vast region in a tour that stretches from Mexico and the Caribbean to Brazil, Ecuador and Argentina. She explores the repercussions of mestizo identity in the United States and reveals the key moments in the story of Latin America's cult of synthesis. Rise and Fall of the Cosmic Race examines the inextricable links between aesthetics and politics, and unravels the threads of colonialism woven throughout national narratives in which mestizos serve as primary protagonists. Illuminating the ways in which regional engagements with mestizaje represent contentious sites of nation building and racial politics, Miller uncovers a rich and multivalent self-portrait of Latin America's diverse populations.

Fragments is an event—an unforgettable book that will redefine one of the greatest icons of the twentieth century and that, nearly fifty years after her death, will definitively reveal Marilyn Monroe's humanity. Marilyn's image is so universal that we can't help but believe we know all there is to know of her. Every word and gesture made headlines and garnered controversy. Her serious gifts as an actor were sometimes eclipsed by her notoriety—and by the way the camera fell helplessly in love with her. Beyond the headlines—and the too-familiar stories of heartbreak and desolation—was a woman far more curious, searching, witty, and hopeful than the one the world got to know. Now, for the first time, readers can meet the private Marilyn and understand her in a way we never have before. Fragments is an unprecedented collection of written artifacts—notes to herself, letters, even poems—in Marilyn's own handwriting, never before published, along with rarely seen intimate photos. Jotted in notebooks, typed on paper, or written on hotel letterhead, these texts reveal a woman who loved deeply and strove to perfect her craft. They show a Marilyn Monroe unsparing in her analysis of her own life, but also playful, funny, and impossibly charming. The easy grace and deceptive lightness that made her performances indelible emerge on the page, as does the simmering tragedy that made her last appearances so affecting.
Fulfilling Marilyn Monroe's dream of putting together a picture book-autobiography, the author, a personal friend of Marilyn's, provides a fascinating glimpse into her life, in this stunning tribute to one of America's most beloved celebrities, who would have been seventy-five years old on June 1, 2001. Reprint.
Marilyn Monroe's image is so universal that we can't help but believe that we know all there is to know of her. Every word and gesture made headlines and garnered controversy. Her serious gifts as an actor were sometimes eclipsed by her notoriety -- and the way the camera fell helplessly in love with her. But what of the other Marilyn? Beyond the headlines -- and the too-familiar stories of heartbreak and desolation -- was a woman far more curious, searching and hopeful than the one the world got to know. Even as Hollywood studios tried to mold and suppress her, Marilyn never lost her insight, her passion, and her humour. To confront the mounting difficulties of her life, she wrote. Now, for the first time, we can meet this private Marilyn and get to know her in a way we never have before. Fragments is an unprecedented collection of written artifacts -- notes to herself, letters, even poems -- in Marilyn's own handwriting, never before published, along with rarely seen intimate photos. From the world's most controversial rock star comes his shocking, confessional and revealing life story. In The Long Hard Road Out of Hell, Marilyn Manson candidly and vividly recounts his metamorphosis from a frightened Christian schoolboy into the most feared and revered celebrity in America. A cross-dressing grandfather, a sexually abusive neighbor, a brainwashing faith healer and a schoolteacher searching for satanic messages in rock songs are only a few of the characters who populate his bizarre childhood. From backstage to jail cells, from recording studios to emergency rooms, from the pit of despair to the top of the charts, The Long Hard Road Out of Hell chronicles Manson's rise to fame at the price of his humanity and his descent through the circles of Dante's Inferno: Lust, Violence and Treachery. His story is illustrated with dozens of previously unpublished photographs, and it features a behind-the-scenes account of his headline-grabbing Dead to the World Tour -- vilified, banned and protested by politicans, preachers and parents alike. In his 29 years, Manson has experienced more than most people have -- or would want to -- in a lifetime.
