As slaves to an evil cause, the BLM gang will not see past their nose. Ignorance is foolish and dangerous. Socialism, the final divisive step to communism, has been forced down the throats of our children and uninformed adults for years. This story addresses CRT, woke, atrocities of the Biden Administration, and the catastrophe on our southern border. I live in Texas; I see the truth with my own eyes. You only know what you know. Keep learning what you do not know because there is nothing new under the sun.

Queen for a Day connects the logic of Venezuelan modernity with the production of a national femininity. In this ethnography, Marcia Ochoa considers how femininities are produced, performed, and consumed in the mass-media spectacles of international beauty pageants, on the runways of the Miss Venezuela contest, on the well-traveled Caracas avenue where transgender women (transformistas) project themselves into the urban imaginary, and on the bodies of both transformistas and beauty pageant contestants (misses). Placing transformistas and misses in the same analytic frame enables Ochoa to delve deeply into complex questions of media and spectacle, gender and sexuality, race and class, and self-fashioning and identity in Venezuela. Beauty pageants play an outsized role in Venezuela. The country has won more international beauty contests than any other. The femininity performed by Venezuelan women in high-profile, widely viewed pageants defines a kind of national femininity. Ochoa argues that as transformistas and misses work to achieve the bodies, clothing and makeup styles, and postures and gestures of this national femininity, they come to embody Venezuelan modernity.

The HOPE Teacher Rating Scale is designed to help guide teachers in identifying gifted students for programming. It is unique in several ways. Beginning to End is the book I needed when I accepted the Director position of my first child care center. I could have used a roadmap to navigate the ins and outs of being a leader and of building an education organization - at the same time. I could have used a book that was clearly written with details and specifics, guidelines and know-how - to help me create a vision for this new program; to build my team; to add the parent component; to set the stage for the children; to design environments and program for them; to create and fit the many parts of the organization together; to make changes when they were needed; to think strategically and execute those plans; to close the center if that decision was made. This is that book! And, it is my story - inspired by the largest child care center that I opened during my career. I served as Director there for twenty years and ultimately, closed the door. I experienced first-hand, the entire life cycle of a child care center and I have a unique perspective to share what I have learned. What I bring to this book is a wealth of hands-on, real-life experience and expertise, humor, and common sense. I know the life of the education/business director. I have lived it. I know the joys and satisfactions. I know the problems and pitfalls - and the solutions and strategies to avoid them. I've learned a lot because I have built four early childhood programs. Beginning to End is a 'how-to' and memoir combined. It was specifically written as a resource for early childhood educators at all levels, but it has appeal and merit for other people-centered businesses as well.
