We have tried our best to refrain ourselves from force-feeding the reader with matters that are too peripheral to matter, in spite of the many temptations to do so and have made naive attempts to act as facilitators and allow the reader to paint his own environs and at times, draw his own conclusions . Biometrics refers to the authentication techniques that depend on measurable physical characteristics and behavioural characteristics to identify an individual. The biometric systems consist of different stages such as image acquisition, preprocessing, feature extraction and matching. Biometric techniques are widely used in the security world. The various types of biometric systems use different techniques for the preprocessing, feature extraction and classifiers.The dorsum of the hand is known as the finger back surface. It is highly used for personal authentication and has not yet attracted the attention of convenient researchers. It is mostly used due to contact free image acquisition. It is reported that the skin pattern on the finger-knuckle is extremely rich in texture due to skin folds and creases, and hence, can be considered as a biometric identifier. Furthermore, advantages of using Finger Knuckle Print (FKP) include rich in texture features, easily accessible, contact-less image acquisition, invariant to emotions and other behavioral aspects such as tiredness, stable features and acceptability in the society. As a result of that, there is less known use of finger knuckle pattern in commercial or civilian applications. The local features of an enhanced palmprint image are extracted using Fast Discrete Orthonormal Stockwell Transform (FDOST). The Fourier transform of an image is obtained by increasing the scale of FDOST to infinity. The Fourier transform coefficients extracted from the palmprint image and FKP image are considered as the global information. The local and global information are physically linked by means of the framework of time frequency analysis. The global feature is exploited to refine the arrangement of FKP images in matching. The proposed schemes make use of the local and global features to verify finger knuckle-print images. The weighted average of the local and global matching distances is taken as the final matching distance of two FKP images. The investigational results indicate that the proposed works outperform the existing works.

The integration of AI-powered e-gamified modules in education has significantly impacted students' scientific attitudes and academic achievement in science. This study investigates how AI-driven gamification enhances engagement, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, leading to improved academic performance. AI enables personalized learning experiences by adapting to individual student needs, thus fostering a more interactive and learner-centered approach. E-gamified modules provide immediate feedback, motivating students to correct errors and reinforce learning. The main aim of the study is to find out whether there is any significant difference between pre-test & post-test mean scores of secondary school students taught with and without AI-powered e-gamified modules in science. 80 Samples were chosen by employing purposive sampling technique. The researcher has used standardized PhET simulation modules. The results show that the post-test mean scores of the experimental group are significantly different than that of the control group. The study suggests that when students are exposed to AI-powered gamified learning environments, they develop a more positive disposition toward scientific methods and show measurable improvements in performance. This research highlights the potential of AI in transforming traditional education by making learning more dynamic, personalized, and effective, thereby fostering a deeper understanding of science and its applications.

The Indian environmental law is no exception in this regard. In ancient India, people were tied together with nature, through their religious belief. Some adopted it on their own or rather majority accepted under the fear of religion, morality or non-compliance, resulting in punishment to the extent of going to hell. Since Vedic time the motto of social life was ‘to live in utmost harmony with ecology’. Sages, saints and great teachers of India lived in forests, meditated and expressed themselves in the form of Vedas, Upanishads, Smritis and Dharmas. This literature of olden times preached in one form or the other a worshipful attitude towards plants, trees, mother earth, sky (aakash), air (vayu), water(jal), and animals and to keep a benevolent attitude towards them.
