As a Registered Nurse with a long career in Emergency Medicine, caring for every type of illness and injury know to man and caring for patients in such a high stress atmosphere was all she knew how to do. It wasn’t until after sustaining a life changing - career ending injuries in a freak accident herself, did she realize that being the patient brought a whole new meaning to pain, strength, motivation and hope. Having been through a medical life altering experience, it has given her a completely different perspective of how your life, your body, your mind, your finances change in an instant. Never take a moment for granted because you never know when life as you know it will change in a split second. She has been there and understands how even the smallest of issues can feel like the end of the world, when you are experiencing it in real time. By reading this book, you will hear from someone who has been where you are and help guide you to where you want to be. It’s not an easy road, but after working very hard herself, getting back up was the only option to move forward.
In the half century that has passed since George Kelly put forward his psychology of personal constructs, there have been major advances in the form of psychotherapy derived from his theory. This book presents developments in the personal construct theory perspective on psychological disorders and their treatment in the context of contemporary issues in psychotherapy; illustrates the diverse range of personal construct psychotherapy approaches that have been devised for a wide range of clinical problems; and indicates the growing evidence base for these approaches. It contains contributions from most of the leading international practitioners in the field. It will not only be of interest to psychotherapists, other clinicians, academics, and students who are already familiar with personal construct theory or constructivism, but also to those who are seeking a therapeutic approach which is integrative but has a clear theoretical rationale, and which is able to combine humanism with rigour.
Darvish is a tale of love, faith, betrayal, and revenge. 1925 was a year of endings and beginnings. The Qajar Dynasty ended in a bloodless coup, giving rise to the rule of Reza Shah and the birth of the Pahlavi Dynasty. And in the northern province of Gilan, a young mother lay dying. With her last breath, she named the child cut from her womb. Thus began the tragic life of Morteza Ali. Tormented by a past he can not escape and a future that eludes him at every step, Morteza Ali finds solace and guidance in the voices that speak to him in his darkest hours. As Darvish, a self-proclaimed holy man, he walks a slippery path between light and darkness. Was he a messiah or a madman; a martyr or a murderer? The reader will be captivated by the power of ancient legends, the timeless wisdom of parables and the beauty of Persian poetry that infuse and enrich this tragic tale. Walk the path of Darvish. Discover for yourself the fine line between majesty and tragedy the forces that shape the destinies of all men.

For winter, she writes about themes of rootedness, fallow times, reflection; for spring—awakening, planting, new growth, storms; for summer—bearing fruit, abundance, blossoming, weeding, and pests; for fall—letting go, sifting, harvesting. Let us be inspired and motivated to change our attitudes and adopt an attitude that will not only bring joy and peace in our lives, but also bring victory and enable us to become winners in all circumstances. We all have God given destinies to fulfi l and with the right attitude we can fulfi l them. This book is based on the four attitudes that Jesus Christ displayed when He was on earth. These are the attitudes that the Apostle Paul in the Book of Philippians 2:111 urges us as Christians to adopt. Practical examples which are based on daily life experiences have been used to show that it is the very things that we often take for granted that lead us to unwittingly portray ungodly attitudes that prevent us from living the types of lives we are destined by God to live. The four attitudes that we must adopt are the following: Attitude of Love Attitude of Humility Attitude of Servanthood Attitude of Obedience Always remember that what seems to be impossible with man, it is possible with God and by adopting a winning attitude of Jesus Christ we can do all things!
The heart is a wonderful thing. God has given to the human race. So much joy, peace, and understanding, but the most of all is love. We all need to listen to our hearts and we can write a poem about anything we want to. the heart is always listening with so much compassion and precious jewel’s; it will light up your world. The light of the heart warms up the whole room. The heart pumps blood through the anteries and veins. The heart is divided into four chambers. The heart is the center of a person’s feelings. We must always have a warm and strong feeling for God, because he is love.
Experience Oneness with the Divine and Light Up the World On the publication of her first book, Larry Dossey, MD, author of Prayer Is Good Medicine , wrote: “Martella-Whitsett is a wise guide." Her new book makes the audacious claim that each of us can be “the light of the world” Jesus instructed his followers to be. Martella-Whitsett offers a path for living a deep and authentic life outside of the strictures of traditional religious categories. A refreshing approach, in essence, on how to be spiritual without being religious. We need to jettison the idea of a God who is out there and above us. God is not a super-human who gives and takes, punishes and rewards. God does not require human suffering and repentance. We truly find God when we go inside to connect with divine light, realize our oneness with God and others, and let our light shine in the world. Martella-Whittset looks at what “divine light” is and how it is both audacious and normal to claim it for ourselves. Next she introduces us to 12 spiritual powers we can all develop and learn to use on a daily basis: faith, understanding, will, imagination, zeal power, love, wisdom, strength, order, release, and life itself. When we consciously shine our spiritual powers on ourselves, not only are our lives improved, but all of humanity can be enriched and transformed. Let your light shine!
The Scriptures tell us that when we pray the will of God, he delights to answer our prayers. But what is God's will in any given situation? How can we know it? And if we don't know it, how can we pray it? Linda Evans Shepherd shows readers that God's will is not a mystery--it's clearly laid out in his Word through his many promises. Through stories, practical application, examples of prayers, and guided reflection, Shepherd leads readers toward a more powerful prayer life. Arranged by topic for ease of use, this book shows how to pray God's promises - of his presence - of love - of peace - of joy - of hope - for provision - for health - for breakthroughs - for our relationships - over children and loved ones Shepherd includes a chapter on God's powerful answers to prayer that will inspire readers to search the Scriptures, pray God's will, and wait expectantly for his promised answers.
One of America's best-known psychics brings her insights to that most intriguing of all subjects--finding love--and offers practical advice on how to meet and recognize one's soul mate and build meaningful relationships.
In this book, the author shares the story of her personal spiritual learning quest and the specific strategies that were effective for her spiritual growth. During a particularly demanding time of her life, Linda felt a longing for peace and spiritual connectedness. In those very busy days, she questioned whether she was following the Great Commandment to "love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength" (Luke 10:27). She was dissatisfied with the lack of spiritual growth she experienced in the habits of praying silently and passively reading devotionals. Learning to love God with heart, soul, mind, and strength became a focus of private study and journaling, which led to this book. Linda began integrating short, practical routines throughout her days, creating several brief periods of daily spiritual connectedness. Utilizing multisensory learning strategies that she used with her students, she discovered more meaning in her spiritual life. She concluded that part of loving God fully means loving him more actively as opposed to having a passive and lukewarm relationship with God. Linda feels passionate about sharing these multisensory teaching methods for personal spiritual growth--evidence-based effective strategies that are widely used in academic settings but are rarely used in spiritual learning. The author suggests practical ideas for connecting with God throughout busy days, ways requiring more involvement and more mental focus. Also, Linda offers spiritual learning ideas, which address individual differences in learning styles and types of intelligence as opposed to the same methods for everyone. Following the ideas in this book will keep your mind more focused on your relationship with God throughout the routines of your day while bringing more passion to your spiritual learning.
There is no more important lesson in life to understand, then it is your thoughts that create your reality! Your thoughts create your feelings, emotions, behavior and what you attract and magnetize into your life. Many people think that we see with our eyes. The truth is we see through our consciousness, minds and belief system! There are in truth only two philosophies and feelings and emotions in life. The philosophy and feeling of fear, and the philosophy and feeling of Love. The key to realizing God is to only think and feel from your Love based/Spiritual/Christ/Buddha mind. This is why the Bible states, "Let this mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus!" It is by mastering our mind that all negative feeling and emotions can be released and one can learn to live in self mastery, centeredness, unconditional love, joy, peace, forgiveness, nonjudgmentalness and equanimity at all times!
Fight is purposed to help you fill your battle bag with Gods Word, which is your weapon in spiritual warfare. Gods Word is the only standard you can raise that will make the enemy get out of your stuff, your life, your home, your family, your job, your health, your mind, your marriage, and your relationships. Your thoughts and opinions dont matter in warfareonly the Word of God. The Lord directed me to write Fight during a season in my life when my back was against the wall. I had to step into the ring and fight like Muhammad Ali, Bruce Lee, Rocky, and a prayer warrior shouting my war cry, The blood of Jesus! The devil waltzed his way into my life, went aboard my love boat, and rocked it, and it sank like the Titanic. He made a concerted effort to complicate family matters, attack our health, break the bond of friendships, arrest my finances, put shackles on my dancing feet to keep me from praising God, and so much more. The devil was doing the most. The Bible tells us that the devil is roaming the earth, seeking whom he can kill, steal, and destroy. He will get into your Kool-Aid, change the flavor, laugh in your face, and leave you to die in sin. The fighter emanated from within me, and I poised myself toe-to-toe with the enemy like David faced Goliath and said, Enough is enough. I girded my loins, equipped myself with the whole armor of God, took out my boxing robe and gloves, and boldly declared Gods Word. He had messed with the wrong fighting prayer warrior. I was prepared to fight and win, for I am more than a conqueror through him who loves me (Romans 8:37). The victory was and is mine in Jesus because I stand strong and firm in the power of his might. Every single day, I put on the whole armor of God to stand against the attacks of the devil (Ephesians 6:1011). Armor up and prepare to fight, my friend, because this is war!

One evening, while studying her Bible, the Holy Spirit took author Linda Evans in the Spirit to the edge of a vast field of wheat. It was night, yet a bright light shone on the field lighting every blade of golden bearded wheat. The wheat made a soft rustling sound as it swayed in the breeze. It looked like soft, golden, rolling waves of the sea. As Linda watched, her heart pounding, a fine mist resembling a black fog came rolling in and hovered over the field in mid air like a blanket. The fog was thick and hovered about a foot over the top of the field. In the distance, sitting in the middle of the field, was a storage shack, aged and nearly falling down. Suddenly, out of the darkness of the left of heaven came a huge flash of light, accompanied by the terrifying sound of crackling lightening so loud it sounded like an electrical stage production backed up with the roar of thunder. The lightening struck the shack, and the shack began to burn. As the flames roared and crackled, Linda was speechless. She didn’t know where she was and didn’t know what was happening. Then something in the right of the heavens caught her attention ...

Which one are you--"The PRIZE" or consolation gift? The title of this book, Are You "The PRIZE or Just a Consolation Gift? has profoundly captured your attention. Though it has stirred your interest because even without you knowing how to formulate the question, you wanted to know the answer. Nonetheless, the answer is just as diverse as you are, with all your various life experiences up to this point. Although both exist in this world, the one which is valueless is more prevalent in this world of deception than the other. Consequently, the one more useful to GOD in doing HIS GOOD WORK in the earth is least esteemed by those of the world. Therefore, the one devalued by the world is extraordinarily precious because GOD, by HIS SON, WHO is HIS WORD of TRUTH, made all of HIS daughters divinely invaluable. While both exist, this book is written to the woman who knows she's a prize but she's unable to explain in intricate details why. Yet it's also written to the woman who, unbeknownst to her, has been trained to be a consolation gift since she didn't know and has never been told that GOD divinely made her to be a "PRIZE." And lastly but more importantly, this book is written to provide every single GOD-made woman with invaluable nuggets of wisdom on precisely who GOD MADE her to be in HIS VERY GOOD in CHRIST. So if you've said, "Yes, that's me," to either of these categories, this book is written to you. If not, please don't read any further, put the book down, and never read it or buy it.

Clad in Light By: Linda L. Baldwin In this second part of the novel – Clad in Light – all the characters in the first part of the novel – Even in Death – encounter light in its entire spectrum, both their visible and invisible capacities. They learn that without the light they could not be transformed into better people. Light is easier to understand if we were to say love provides the means by which light changes our nature. We can see light. We can’t see love. When we see the characters in this novel “clad in light” it’s another way of saying they are clad in love. When our characters in this novel are “clad in light” they grow to realize that light has unified them with the nature of light and how it renews life with its practical nature. What they quickly learn is that light has an impractical nature and will not tolerate an abuse of the use of the light that wants to contain itself in their being. This leads to the startling realization that light is masking itself as love in its infinite, indestructible nature that extends beyond the source of our light, the sun. Light leads them to know the deep nature of love if one were to doubt that love exists.
Before we can transcend our humanity and deepen our spirituality, we must transform our ego. Many of us are taking steps to embrace a spiritual path and others are unaware that this path exists. We all face the same significant obstacle: our ego. An unconscious, imbalanced ego can delay, distort, disturb, or destroy our efforts to transcend the limitations of our humanity and deepen our spiritual consciousness. "EgoSpiritualism: Awakening to Your Human and Divine Self" shows us that we must transform and heal our ego -- not dissolve, disown, or defeat it -- in order to merge our humanity and Divinity. The result is a more fully and deeply lived human and spiritual experience.
