Robert, alias Robby, croit encore à l’amour. Il n’a vu Leïla qu’à la télé, mais il est persuadé que la perdante du grand concours Star&Strass 2006 n’attend que lui pour sortir de sa déchéance. Alors quand la starlette est de passage à l’Hyper du coin pour une « standing promotion », il décide de prendre sa vie - et celle de Leïla - en main. Dany, elle, ne croit plus à l’amour. Sa promotion canapé, grâce au directeur de l’Hyper, ne lui suffit pas et la liberté retrouvée de Tattoo, après dix-huit mois de cage, l’angoisse. Alors que ce type est tout de même censé être celui qu’elle aime... Oui, mais voilà, ce ringard et son frère ont des projets qui ne la motivent pas. Braquer une banque, par exemple. Par un concours de circonstances qui tient plus à pas grand-chose qu’à un coup du destin, Tattoo et le Castor, son frère, sont contraints par la police de trouver refuge dans l’Hyper à la tombée du jour. Là se trouvent réunis Dany et son directeur, la pauvre Leïla et son agent, mais aussi Robby bien sûr ! Ce qui pourrait n’être qu’un huis clos est en fait une prise d’otages. Le problème, c’est que, très vite, ça dégénère, et l’on ne sait plus très bien qui est l’otage de qui. Une guerre sans merci va se dérouler dans l’Hyper pendant la nuit. Et comme dans toutes les guerres, même en temps de paix, la vie devient carrément Discount.
A simplified approach to Malliavin calculus adapted to Poisson random measures is developed and applied in this book. Called the “lent particle method” it is based on perturbation of the position of particles. Poisson random measures describe phenomena involving random jumps (for instance in mathematical finance) or the random distribution of particles (as in statistical physics). Thanks to the theory of Dirichlet forms, the authors develop a mathematical tool for a quite general class of random Poisson measures and significantly simplify computations of Malliavin matrices of Poisson functionals. The method gives rise to a new explicit calculus that they illustrate on various examples: it consists in adding a particle and then removing it after computing the gradient. Using this method, one can establish absolute continuity of Poisson functionals such as Lévy areas, solutions of SDEs driven by Poisson measure and, by iteration, obtain regularity of laws. The authors also give applications to error calculus theory. This book will be of interest to researchers and graduate students in the fields of stochastic analysis and finance, and in the domain of statistical physics. Professors preparing courses on these topics will also find it useful. The prerequisite is a knowledge of probability theory.

This volume contains the contributions of the participants of the Sixth Oslo-Silivri Workshop on Stochastic Analysis, held in Geilo from July 29 to August 6, 1996. There are two main lectures - Stochastic Differential Equations with Memory, by S.E. A. Mohammed, - Backward SDE's and Viscosity Solutions of Second Order Semilinear PDE's, by E. Pardoux. The main lectures are presented at the beginning of the volume. There is also a review paper at the third place about the stochastic calculus of variations on Lie groups. The contributing papers vary from SPDEs to Non-Kolmogorov type probabilistic models. Although the climate of the Earth is continually changing from the very beginning, anthropogenic effects, the pollution of the air by combustion and industrial activities make it change so quickly that the adaptation is very difficult for all living organisms. Researcher's role is to make this adaptation easier, to prepare humankind to the new circumstances and challenges, to trace and predict the effects and, if possible, even decrease the harmfulness of these changes. In this book we provide an interdisciplinary collection of new studies and findings on the score of air pollution.
