The murder case of chef Cynthia Albrecht that shocked the Indy 500 racing world—as seen on Investigation Discovery’s True Conviction. Cynthia Albrecht, the executive chef of the Penske-Marlboro racing team and darling of the IndyCar circuit, went missing on October 25, 1992—the night before her divorce from Michael Albrecht became final. Drivers and racing crews from across the country converged on “The Brickyard,” site of the Indianapolis 500, to help search for her. As the head mechanic for the Dick Simon racing team, known as “Crabby” across the race circuit, Michael had a reputation for bullying and abuse. He’d immediately become a suspect in Cynthia’s disappearance. But with a strong alibi, there was nothing authorities could do when he decided to take a vacation to Florida and skip a scheduled polygraph test and the search for his estranged wife. Nor could law enforcement charge him when Cynthia’s body was found a few weeks later in northern Indiana—minus her head. The case went cold for six years until a newly elected prosecutor allowed his deputies to charge Michael Albrecht with murder. But would they be able to prove his guilt? This riveting legal thriller is a finalist in the True Crime category of the Best Book Awards sponsored by American Book Fest. Written by one of the prosecutors, Larry Sells, and journalist Margie Porter, it runs at full throttle and will leave you on the edge of your seat right up to the checkered flag at the final verdict.

The terrifying life of a rampaging Indiana killer is vividly chronicled in this true crime book by the co-authors of Race to Justice. Maybe the youngest son of a violent criminal named Hoggy Thompson was born a beast. Maybe rage was beaten into him. One thing was certain, by the time he reached manhood, Jerry Thompson was a savage killer. He had no conscience about rape, child molestation, or thrashing a dozen men in a prison fight. Once he got his hands on a gun, any target would do. He didn't leave witnesses. When he terrorized an entire courtroom and threatened to rip deputy prosecutor Larry Sells apart, people wondered if there would ever be a way to stop his viciousness. In Beast of New Castle, Sells and co-author Margie Porter take a deep dive into the life and crimes of this unrelenting violent offender, and the desperate quest by law enforcement to stop him for good.
Sales is an art form. Sales strategies are required everywhere, for everyone. They’re used all the time: to get a raise, to get a date, or even to get a high-level executive to agree to a twenty-million dollar order. The better someone is at selling themselves, their ideas, and/or their product, the better their results. Rather than a list of tricks, Selling in the Real World is strategic guide of plans, behaviors, and attitudes that will improve an individual’s ability to sell. Larry Sternlieb’s approach features stress-tested principles for anyone to create an easy-to-understand track to run on. And a better track always produces results—results that are easier, faster, and unbeatable. Selling in the Real World is not a feel-good book. It was designed to be hard-hitting, to provide a solid track for both the experienced sales professional looking to refocus and polish their skills, as well as for those about to create their livelihood from the art of sales for the first time.

A moving van pulled in at 303 East Street's driveway. The father, Harry Lyle Brown and his best friend, Lennie Lee got out of the moving van's cab. They started carrying furniture for the downstairs through a built-on porch. When the van was empty, the house's downstairs had in it: a black couch, brown dining room table with five brown chairs, three bookcases, a black Lazyboy, a rocking chair, two black chairs, a knick-knack shelf, a box of knick-knacks, three wall clocks, a nineteen inch TV, TV stand, one double bed, a freezer, and a cloth dresser. Harry and Lennie organized per room; living, dining, kitchen, and bedroom. A half an hour later, the full moving van again entered the driveway. Harry and Lennie started carrying furniture for the upstairs. Three roller-away beds, five dressers, one double bed, four black trunks, three brown writing desks, three four-shelved bookshelves, ten boxes filled with paperback books, four nightstands, and two-dozen suitcases filled with clothes. After carrying all of the suitcases and furniture upstairs, Harry and Lennie put one of each in the bedrooms and hall. Pouring with sweat the two sat down in the kitchen and each of them had a cigarette.

Real estate day trading is using the Internet to buy and sell houses without leaving home. In many cases, the investor closes on a house and resells it the same day. Readers will learn the author's system for how to buy and sell 5-10 houses a month in today's market, using the Internet, phone, fax, and email to analyze, research, and find the properties, buyers, and others needed for the transaction. Author Larry Goins has personally done deals in nine different states and has students in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, China, Israel, the Philippines, and Denmark. Day trading can be used for wholesaling properties to other investors, retailing, lease options, short sales, foreclosure investing, etc. The basic steps are: Search online for potential properties to make offers on, using specific techniques for finding the right ones. Once an offer is accepted, usually within 1-2 weeks, put it on paper using clauses included in the book, and get the property inspected by a rehab contractor to get a free estimate of how much the repairs will cost. This is done by finding reputable contractors online and through referrals from realtors and through autoresponders. Order an appraisal. Sell it fast! Using the buyers list you have built on the internet through email marketing groups, social networking sites, blogs, free classified sites, bank-owned property sites, and more, send an email with the details of the property and instructions on how they can get the property under contract. Usually within two hours several potential buyers will reply. Set up a closing to buy it and to sell it on the same day; closings are about 30 minutes apart. By it at 10:00 and sell it at 10:30, for example. There are many ways to fund and close on the property. The book will contain step-by-step, easy processes for assignments, options, flex options, simultaneous closings, using hard money, private money, cash partners, and credit partners, none of which will require an investor's own cash or credit. A couple of werewolves, Susan, and Alf, each wearing an "eat a human" T-shirt walked in Ghostville Mall. They stopped in front of the movie theater and looked at the list. The two looked at each other and walked away. Susan eyed a human skeleton through the arcade's windows. She elbowed Alf and he looked at her. When Susan had his attention she whispered, "Let's eat him when he comes out." Her eyes pointed out the human skeleton. Following Susan's eyes, Alf saw the human skeleton and started drooling. "He looks good enough to eat." Alf and Susan sat on the wooden bench opposite the entrance, so they could see the human skeleton through the window. They sat there grooming each other's heads like a pair of chimpanzees. Both ate the fleas taken from the other's head.
How does a CEO, manager, or entrepreneur begin to sort out what defines and drives a good customer experience and how it can be measured and made actionable? If you know how well the customer experience is satisfying your customers and you know how to increase their satisfaction, you can then increase sales, return visits, recommendations, loyalty, and brand engagement across all channels. More reliable and more useful data leads to better decisions and better results. Innovating Analytics is also about the need for a comprehensive measurement ecosystem to accurately assess and improve the other elements of customer experience. This is a time of great change and great opportunity. The companies that use the right tools and make the right assessments of how to satisfy their customers will have the competitive advantage. Innovating Analytics introduces an index that measures a customer’s likelihood to recommend and the likelihood to detract. The current concept of the Net Promoter Score (NPS) that has been adopted by many companies during the last decade—is no longer accurate, precise or actionable. This new metric called the Word of Mouth Index (WoMI) has been tested on hundreds of companies and with over 1.5 million consumers over the last two years. Author Larry Freed details the improvement that WoMI provides within what he calls the Measurement Ecosystem. He then goes on to look at three other drivers of customer satisfaction along with word of mouth: customer acquisition, customer loyalty, and customer conversion.
