This research study examined young black men's perceptions of what is expected of them and if these expectations effected their educational achievement. I believe that many of these young men have been stigmatized and forced by society into the cesspool of the drug culture and other deviant behaviors. My study indicated that these young men were upset about many aspects of their lives, and had a sincere desire to change their social status.
