Two stories cover tiger hunting- one involves a super natural power which saves the hunter. The other one covers the moral transformation of a wanton hunter. One story is a murder mystery which is solved after a long hidden clue is found. Several stories cover humorous aspects of school and college life. A sci-fi story acts as a wakeup call for the extreme danger from climate change. A ghost story has a surprise ending. Two stories cover the nostalgia of an old man and the moral dilemma of an accounts officer.

The Salmophasia fishes are included under the order – cypriniformes and belong to the family – Cyprinidae (Day, 1958). Most of the Salmophasia species are inhabitants of the tropical and subtropical waters. Man made reservoirs and lakes provide unique habitats for the fishery wealth of Karnataka. Reservoir ecosystems have been recognized for their great potential for fish production. At the present level of management, the average fish yield of Indian reservoirs is only between 10-16 kg/ha/year (Jhingran, 1991). The small reservoirs have the potential to yield more than 100-200 kg/ha. Siltation in the rivers and reservoirs, apart from diminishing the quantum of water flow results in the destruction of breeding grounds of fishes, migration of fishes and overall productivity of the reservoir. Siltation also affects the benthic population and the natural recruitment of fishes in the impounded waters. Reservoirs, like rivers are inevitably being affected by industrialization and urbanisation.

Reservoir fisheries development is most essential for quantum jump in inland fish production and socioeconomic up gradation of fishermen. However presently, the fish yield from the reservoir fisheries is frustratingly low, as observed by Sinha (2001). The strategy of enlargement of gear mesh size for capture, increases in fishing efforts and stocking support paid rich dividends in this area. The stocking necessitate the breeding population of economically viable species in the reservoirs. The opportunity needs to be used for establishing the native major food fishes that are compatible and hardy and amenable to the lentic environment of the reservoir, otherwise, the trash fishes multiply and occupy the large volume of water in grater abundance dominating the whole ecosystem. On the other side the native fish should find a natural place in the reservoir not only in point of view of adding to the total production and higher income but also as a biodiversity conservation measures. Sperata aor belongs to Bagridae family and is dispersed throughout Indian subcontinent .This cat fish is a popular food due to its good taste and high nutritional value. Recently, it has also made its entry in domestic ornamental fish markets of India and has been reported to have moderate export price (Sandipan Gupta,2015).

It's always possible, even when the task is awesome -- transforming the mindset of human beings. Located in India's capital, New Delhi, Tihar is one of the largest prisons in the world. Within a prison complex of over 200 acres are housed over 9,700 inmates -- men, women, adolescents, children; Indians and foreigners. They comprise unconvicted alleged offenders, convicts and remandees. Tihar was a limping, languishing institution, condemned by the media, and its inmates were isolated from the community, exploited, used and abused, yet 'housed'. Dr Kiran Bedi was appointed Inspector General of Tihar Prison in 1993. She brought about fundamental changes, giving a human face to the administrative structure and creating an exemplary system covering every possible aspect of prison management. The whole objective was to collectively and individually manage the transition from a moribund system to a responsive and sensitive administration. Hence her efforts unfolded the process of reformation involving prison administration, prisoners and the community, toward one common goal -- Correction through a collective approach. The present study was aimed at synthesizing isatin-5-sulphonamide derivatives are prepared by chlorosulphonation of isatin to prepare isatin-5-sulphonic acid chloride and it is subjected to reaction with different amines or anilines to form respective sulphonamide derivatives. The new compounds were characterized based on spectral (FT-IR, NMR and Mass) analysis. All the test compounds showed CNS depression while studying the gross behavioral changes. All the test compounds exhibited reduction in locomotor activity. Compound IIIf (R = p-toluidino) showed more reduction in the locomotor activity among all the test compounds. Compounds IIId, IIIc, IIIb, IIIa were next in the order of reduction of locomotor activity. The compounds were evaluated for anticonvulsant activity against maximum electric shock induced and Pentylenetetrazol (PTZ) induced seizures in mice using phenytoin as a standard.

In this research, I have discussed how 'Social Concern and Democratic Thoughts' are mirrored in Upendra’s Films. This study mainly focuses on how Upendra's films often serve as a mirror image of the common man through 'Social Concern and Democratic Thoughts', offering a study of their struggles, aspirations, and societal impact. Upendra's distinctive narrative technique and intellectually stimulating themes provide a thorough analysis of the common man's position in society. Upendra creates unique and memorable characters that challenge stereotypes and defy expectations. Upendra frequently employs the technique of breaking the fourth wall in his films, wherein he directly addresses the audience. This approach enables him to effectively engage with the viewers, thereby blurring the distinction between fiction and reality, and transforming them into active participants in the storytelling process. Upendra's films frequently address social issues and offer social commentary. He fearlessly shows topics such as corruption, inequality, and societal norms. Through his narrative, he inspires viewers to challenge the status quo and engage in critical thinking about the world around them. Sprouting broccoli (Brassica oleracea var. italica) belonging to the family Brassicaceae is an important cole crop after cabbage and cauliflower. It is one of the most nutritious cole crops and contains vitamin A (130 times and 22 times higher than cauliflower and cabbage, respectively), thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin C and minerals like Ca, P, K and Fe.Being a newly introduced crop of Odisha, there is an urgent need for standardization of integrated nutrient management packages having locally available organic sources integrated with chemical fertilizers. Keeping this in view, the research project was carried out with the objectives to study the effect of integrated application of inorganic and organic manures on growth, yield attributes and yields of broccoli.
