Self-Esteem Is Not You • These self-esteem (ego) representations of yourself are not yourself. • They interfere with your goals, performance, and relationships. • Putting human thought in charge cannot produce positive results because it has no abilities or powers. • Self-esteem (ego) is the enemy within because it is at the root of all human problems and misery. • Sometimes, you can claim to be positive things before or after a performance but not during because that always causes errors and failures. • Sometimes, you might use self-confidence to pray for good results and falsely credit self-confidence. • Looking inside, you will see that self-esteem (ego) is never responsible for anything other than interference and misdirection. • Self-esteem is silly nonsense that is, at best, empty words and, at worst, the center of your life as collections of dead things. Some Main Ideas Thought-Things Thought-things replace you. Thought-things replace reality. We are not real when thought-things. Thought-things are nothing about nothing. Thought-things exist in a virtual-reality world. Thought-things are the problem of the problem. Believing in thought-things is believing in fantasies. Judging with thought-things produces false judgments. Categorizing and labeling people turns them into thought-things (mental objects) that can be easily controlled, manipulated, and disposed of. Somebodies Somebodies feed on your life force. Somebodies are nobodies in disguise. Somebodies are composed of thought-things. Becoming something or somebody is murder. Stop trying to become thought-things by trying to become somebodies. Your vessel nature and somebodies both need your life force to be in your awareness. Nothing Nothing is better than thought-things. Nobody is better than somebody. Description This book is about thought-things and how they are nothing about nothing. Thought-things are reified thoughts, making them nothing thoughts. Nothing thoughts have nothing to say because they are about the madness and nonsense of thoughts defining themselves as realities. Thought-things are about themselves, not reality or truth. What thought-things are about is also nothing because reified thoughts are about false realities. False realities are nothing, whereas actual realities are something. So we have nothing about nothing whenever we have a thought-thing. Because abstract thinking can be misunderstood and poorly applied, this book sometimes approaches the issue of thought-things emotionally and physically. Whatever way you learn to face (self-identity issues, spiritually, psychologically, emotionally, mentally, factually, practically, logically, physically) the failure and wrongness of thought-things, you must stop using them to live a better and saner life. Thought-things are also recognized using other words: concretize, dehumanize, entify, freeze, hypostatize, mental objects, mummify, objectify, ossify, petrify, reify, robotize, and thingify. Self-constructions are the main thought-things that plague the world. Self-constructions are also known as the ego, psychological identities, self-assessments, self-comparisons, self-measurements, self-ratings, and the components of self-esteem, such as self-concepts and self-images. Nothing About Nothing takes the book Nobody Speaks and changes the wording of the sections and topics to form a new book. Many of the same lines and phrases are used but with a different emphasis and meaning. We have also chosen to be more explicit and less poetic. Some additional sections and topics are added, most occurring after the original ones from Nobody Speaks. “Nothing” can have several meanings depending on the context and intention. It is not always clear which definition is meant or if more than one is meant simultaneously. Consider such instances as an opportunity to explore within to gain insight. 5 Meanings for Nothing “Nothing” sometimes refers to its primary and most recognized meaning (nonexistent, not anything, void). “Nothing” sometimes refers to our original nature (vessel nature, host nature). “Nothing” sometimes means or stands for a person who is nothing (not things, self-constructions, or thought-things). “Nothing” sometimes means all people as living transceivers, not things. “Nothing” sometimes means the unknowable Energy (Spirit) sustaining all. Sometimes, the sections will be clear. For example, we have sometimes identified nothing as (empty vessel) to leave no doubt about the meaning of nothing in that section. At other times, the meaning of words in the sections might need to be clarified. Consider any confusion your opportunity to gain deep insight by finding clarification within. Pierce the clouds and discover the blue stillness inside. “Somebody” sometimes refers to a person who is something(s) (self-concepts, self-images, things, and thoughts). It can also refer to all people who seek to be things and thoughts (self-constructions). “Somebodies” is used as the plural of “somebody.” “Thought-things” is sometimes used to mean all the somebody dualities (e.g., high and low self-esteem) and variations (e.g., inferior and superior identities) that people are lost in. “Thought-things” is sometimes used to mean all the people who are lost in and dying to become things and thoughts (self-constructions). Sometimes, the words above, such as “thought-things,” have separate meanings that are meant simultaneously. Sometimes, the different meanings are intended to be read one at a time into one sentence, paragraph, or section for contrast, juxtaposition, and the tension of triality. Some sections vary between the individual and group meanings. Poetic Format • The self-defeating loops, scripts, or knots are presented in a consistent poetic form. • Each poem is written in three triplets. • A triplet is a three-line stanza. • A stanza in poetry is similar to a paragraph in prose. • This format became the poetic form because, over time, it proved to be a useful mold to induce adherence to the essentials of the desired meaning for each poem. • The three-by-three format also allows for deviation in the way to read the ego games or poems for modulating their emphasis and meaning. Poetic Strategies • Sometimes, poets purposely reverse normal wording or phrasing to awaken their audience to some meaning that has lost its savor or become dull over time. • People often wind up preferring particular poets and styles of poetry. • One of this author’s favorites is Haiku, a Japanese style with a fun Senryū variation. Titles of Poems Provide Meaning • The title of any poem or ego knot can be used to direct the meaning, glean the meaning, or play on the meaning of the knot/poem. • Other poetic stratagems were also used, such as alliteration and enjambment. • Furthermore, the three-line form allows for symmetrical typographical design. • You might look for outlines of shapes within the white space, such as a vase, goblet, or tree. • Since this book is left-justified, and because you might have purchased it as an e-book, the shapes may or may not appear on your device. • Sometimes, the break in a stanza does not fit the break in thought or voice. • The beginning lines of an idea or voice are left-aligned, and the lines continuing that thought or voice are indented farther to indicate where a break occurs. Less “I” Less Ego • In some poems, “I” is left lowercase. • This is on purpose, though the point of it depends on the poem. • In some, a small “i” was used only to indicate a weak sense of self or a state of self-downing. • In others, “I” and “i” are used to distinguish the voices in some parent-to-child dialogues. • (The small “i” is used for the inner-child voice, and the large “I” is used for the inner-parent voice. “I” is also used to represent the ego, self-absorption, or egotistical states of non-being.) • Read and Enjoy!
