Based upon academic research at the University of Amsterdam's Center for the History of Hermetic Philosophy and Related Currents, One Truth and One Spirit is a much-needed work that covers a previously unexplored history of the modern religious movement known as Thelema. This work details the theoretical framework of Aleister Crowley's spiritual legacy in the O.T.O. and the A?A? and covers the years of Thelema since Crowley's death in 1947. One Truth and One Spirit approaches a complex topic with a complex history, with exhaustive citations and sources, but it is written for anyone interested in the subject of Thelema. The author utilizes published source material as well as previously unavailable information, which makes this a unique contribution to the available literature. One Truth and One Spirit is expected to be of interest to the novice, the scholar, and the seasoned practitioner of Thelema. The work provides a general historical overview of Thelema from a theoretical vantage point, explores the historical development of the movement from the 1960s to the 1990s, and applies the author's own critical discussions on the topic itself.
In 'The Bible Exposed -Why God has left the building' the author deconstructs many of Christianity's most cherished illusions. He lifts the lid off the Christian Bible's collection of scientific errors, ancient myths, legends and constant contradictions, and demonstrates that the Bible can only be a man-made artefact untouched by divine involvement or inspiration. The difference between what the Bible actually says and what Christianity teaches will astonish you. For instance, who killed Goliath? Everyone thinks that they know the answer. Everyone is amazed when they read what the Bible actually says.
Although his typewriter has been silent for nearly fifty years, Gordon MacQuarrie’s words continue to inspire generations of hunting and fishing enthusiasts. Through his “Stories of the Old Duck Hunters,” most of which are still in print, MacQuarrie captured the intangible, emotional qualities of the outdoor life in a way that made him unique among his peers. As a result, his audience and his legend continue to grow. Gordon MacQuarrie: The Story of an Old Duck Hunter is the first full-length biography of this literary legend. It explores the relationships he nurtured and treasured; records his coming of age during Theodore Roosevelt’s Conservation Movement; documents his rise to national prominence as the first full-time, professional outdoor writer in America; and follows his life as journalist, storyteller, husband, father, outdoorsman, and conservationist. Complete with rarely seen photographs and a comprehensive timeline of his writings, this book is a fitting companion to MacQuarrie’s own Stories of the Old Duck Hunters anthologies.
Crowley sat down with two dozen pheasant hunters—men and women, younger and older, newbies and veterans, famous and not; flushing-dog people and pointing-dog people—and basically said, “Tell me about your dogs.” Their stories map out the craggy emotional journeys our dogs take us on. There are the heavenly highs and the hellish lows; the seemingly insurmountable struggles and the tiny victories that accrete to become transformational; the daily gifts of humor, grace and gratitude that compose the warp and woof of our shared lives. Lavishly illustrated with Crowley’s photography as well as images contributed by his interviewees, Pheasant Dogs is published by Wild River Press.

The yeti legend: fact or fiction? The Tibetan landscape of snowstorms and howling winter nights is a place where storytelling comes naturally. How often had stories been told in the villages about a massive humanoid who could kill yaks with a single blowthe awful snowman that the Tibetans and Nepalese all swear exist? From Marco Polo and Alexander the Great, through and beyond the Nazi-led expedition in 1938, and up to the present day, the sightings have continued. If the yeti does exist, then they are undoubtedly carnivorous, and part of the legend has it that human flesh is the yetis favorite. Wilderness of Ice plots the life and times of Tenzin, lord of the Lhasa temple; Crowley, a British explorer; and Schrder, the German zoologist sent to find the yeti at the behest of his Nazi masters.
This book reconstructs the tantalizing tale of Sri Sabhapati Swami (ca. 1828-1923/4), today a little-known swami who was originally from Tamil Nadu in southern India, and historically contextualizes a fascinating type of yoga that Sabhapati claimed would lead to an experience of being "like a tree universally spread." The practical method of having this experience, in technical terms called the samadhi or "composure" of sivarajayoga or the "Royal yoga for siva," was published in English and multiple Indic languages and lavishly illustrated in diagrams on subtle and physical bodies. This book is the first book-length treatment on Sabhapati Swami, scholarly or otherwise, and uses critically-edited sources printed in Tamil, Devanagari, and Bengali scripts to reveal the expansion of his literature across South Asia and globally, the vast majority of which has never before been considered in any scholarly work to date. The book shows how intertwined Sabhapati's yoga is with historical Tamil saiva and Siddha movements, including the mythos of the rishi Agastya, and also with Hathayoga and mantra-based ritual. It also takes into account his and his followers' wrestling with the Victorian scientific worldview and their rationalization of Hindu philosophical discourses in the colonial period. Finally, the book demonstrates the extent to which Sabhapati's teachings were integrated into esoteric religious movements such as the Theosophical Society, the Thelema of Aleister Crowley, and New Thought, and suggests that a reappraisal of scholarship on the roots of yoga in these movements is long overdue"--
