Wray’s family is unique, to say the least. Living with an uncle with a penchant for partying, and a housekeeper with a hankering for harmony, Wray’s life is anything but conventional. Out late one night, she hears what sounds like a howl or deep growl coming from the house next door. She very quietly peeks through a hole in the back hedges, hoping to catch a glimpse of the creature responsible for the odd noise. Parting the foliage just a little, she can’t believe what she sees. It’s her sexy neighbor, who is never seen in the daytime, but did he just morph into something from out of a horror film? *** He was a good, quiet neighbor, and it was late fall when Wray noticed him sitting beside his pool. She was spying, but that was nothing new. She settled down along the fence and hedge line in a little fort she had created by burrowing deep into the brambly branches. She strained her eyes, and what she saw freaked her out and changed her life… forever. At first she thought that Ty was getting busy with one of his girls of the night. She squinted for a better look, thinking that Ty had been spying on Trey and her as they swam naked in her pool. It took a second or two for her to figure out that Ty’s head was at the guy’s throat, and that they were fully clothed. Stepping forward, she squinted just as Ty looked up, his teeth dripping and his face smeared with something. His eyes locked into Wray’s as she looked down at the neck of the man lying on the deck. The neck was ripped open, streamers of muscle and tendon splayed out like party decorations. That’s how she discovered that Ty was not only a skank, but a vampire as well. She didn’t remember the scream she let out because she passed out right there in her little hiding place. When she came to, she was face to face with her neighbor looking as pale as she had ever seen him. Ty paced back and forth on the opposite side of the room. She heard her own scream as she caught a glance of Ty in the corner. He was just standing there looking as hot as ever, but with a concerned look on his face. It was a new emotion that made him look sinister. “Calm down, Wray, calm down…,” her neighbor soothed, thoughtfully moving a glass of water toward her. Wray flinched. She was desperately trying to make herself as small as possible against Ty and whatever kind of monster he was. “He’s sick, he’s deranged, he’s bad, and he needs to be sent away!” Wray screamed, while pushing herself away from the edge of the sofa.
She will risk everything to be with the flesh and blood man she loves! When Sassy is given the chance to be with the man she desperately wants, she quickly makes a deal to become human, no matter the cost. But she soon realizes that the human world is unlike her own, and often unkind, and the man she loves is different than she expected. She wishes she could return to her world, but that will require a sacrifice greater than she knows. *** “I want to be with Tony no matter what it costs me.” “And it will cost you a lot. Once you agree to the terms and conditions, your decision cannot be reversed.” “What are they?” “You will have one year. That year is yours to be with whom you wish, but the moment your time is up, you will perish and die. Think carefully.” As she stared up at Tony’s room, she realized that she wanted to be part of his world no matter the cost. “I want to be a human.” *** Suddenly Tony began to remove his clothes. Sassy jumped backward, frazzled. Her face became hot due to feelings she couldn’t explain, and she turned around, pretending to examine a woman with an endangered species of bird on her underwear. Sassy wondered whether it was customary to wear underwear at the beach. “You know,” Tony said with a joking tone, “if you want to hang around with me, you’re going to have to look at me in a swimsuit. I brought you one, too. You’re pretty skinny, like Savannah, so I got you one of hers.” A red bikini hit her squarely in the head, knocking all embarrassing thoughts from her mind. It was tiny, something she had never thought she would wear in human form, but she shrugged her shoulders. Mirroring Tony, she started to remove her t-shirt, which had also been borrowed from Savannah, but Tony grabbed her before she could finish the task. He whispered in her ear, giving her the shivers, “What on earth are you doing, Sassy? You can’t just strip in the middle of a crowded beach. You need to change in the bathroom.” “You changed outside,” Sassy said, looking down at him. “I had my bathing suit on underneath my clothes. I’ve got to stop forgetting that you’re… uh… special. There’s a bathroom right there. Go into a stall and come out in the bathing suit.” Sassy nodded her head and ran to the large building that Tony had pointed at. She stumbled inside of it, discovering a world full of women pampering themselves, as well as an insulting odor. All she could do to keep from staring was keep her eyes firmly on her red suit.
Gavin thought he had gotten away with murder when he faked his own death. But that was only the beginning of his troubles. There’s a pretty, young woman on the other side of the country waiting for him to open the bed and breakfast he bought a while ago. She knows what he’s done. She also knows that he’s alone and unhappy. That makes him perfect for ‘turning.’ Harvest time is here, the one time a year when the power of the witches is strongest. The island visitor will become one of them during this year’s festivities, but the witches must be careful not to scare him away from their sweet retreat before they can make him a permanent fixture. *** The bookstores were filled with old books about vampires, witches, and other beings that inhabited the island. Gavin laughed when he saw the display, thinking the islanders had a wonderful sense of humor. The first visitors came dressed for the Harvest in various costumes. Hats of dried fruits and pumpkins adorned their heads and their eyes were a bright red, almost glowing, and Gavin stifled a laugh as he welcomed them. He asked one couple where they had bought their costumes and joked along with them when they said they were not wearing costumes. “This is who we are, Sir,” one man said. Gavin smiled and then turned to the next couple. He didn’t see the look of hunger that was on the face of the man who had walked away. Gavin is a tasty morsel, the man was thinking. The coffee was always ready in the sunroom, but Gavin had no idea when it was delivered or by whom. One morning the complimentary array was just being set up as he walked into the room. “Hi, I’m Gavin.” The woman turned and looked at him. Her eyes had the same red glow as those of the visitors to the island yesterday. “I’m Matilda, but folks around here call me Maddy. It’s good to finally meet you.” Maddy had heard from the locals that Gavin looked like a supermodel, but that was an understatement. His body was perfect, not too thin, not too thick, and his face was also perfect, with patrician features, jet black hair, and the bluest eyes that Maddy had ever seen. Perhaps he would like to become one of us… for good, she thought. He would surely sire lots of beautiful witches. She let out a laugh that sounded more like a cackle, and it took Gavin off guard.
Delilah is beautiful, a temptress… but a killer? Nothing, oh nothing, could be any sillier. The men in her life unexpectedly die. She never has time to tell them bye-bye. The murders are gruesome, the details so gory. Only the killer would know the whole story. She's a minister's daughter, or at least that's the rumor. Could be a setup by someone who knew her. Delilah is a captivating, daring, and frightening novel… a dark, glittering gem. This could happen in real life. The twist in the plot is a real killer, if you know what I mean! – Kirk's Reviews A brilliant read with huge suspense! Frightening and fantastic! A truly unexpected ending! 5 stars, Goodreads reviewer Never saw that coming! I thought I knew who the killer was, but I was wrong… dead wrong! Goodreads reviewer *** He had a strange, obsessive attraction to Delilah, so much so that he couldn't bear the thought of her being with anyone else. But the authorities needed more… much more. Delilah was the one with the alter egos, not the men in her life. She was certifiably crazy. The detective assigned to the case was well aware that he could be the next victim of Delilah, or was it someone else they had missed that was the killer? These were certainly not the usual crimes of passion he was assigned to. This case was disturbing, with each subsequent murder more gruesome than the one before. But the detective couldn't resist the case, and the murderer was well aware of his fascination.
He’s a dragon in disguise, dark and brooding. She’s a witch on the run, hiding a murderous secret. The bold, beautiful woman makes the beast inside him roar. The sexy man with fire in his eyes makes her burn with desire. He needs a mate. She needs a place to hide. Getting rid of each other was the plan. Falling in love was not. Their coupling was forbidden, the consequences their undoing. There’s something strange about the forest, something a little bit off. The aroma of freshly baked breads, cakes and candies entices careless wanderers to venture through the thick foliage and come inside. Curious, they quickly become disoriented by a fake, yellow fog that leads them directly to the home of Marsha Mallow. Her tasty treats are sweet on the tongue, and a few bites is all it takes to shrink grown men and women to the size of a troll, their ears forming pointy tips and their voices that of a child. The witless minions work for her, eagerly obeying her commands as if she were a queen. Marsha’s magic doesn’t always work as it should, and mistakes are made. She once tried to turn a child into one of her tiny workers, but the little guy transformed into a feeble old man who could barely get around on his own. She thought she was the only inhabitant of the forest… it was her forest... until she came across a house built into the side of a mountain and hidden except for its door. She boldly knocked and a man wearing nothing but a loincloth lured her inside. He was sexy in a raw, savage sort of way, and hiding a wicked secret of his own. The nearly naked man, with thighs the size of tree trunks, makes her burn with desire, but she won’t let her lust get in the way of her plan… not this time. As she stood there looking at him, evil thoughts filled her brain. She will turn him into one of her witless workers. A man his size will be of great use to her. What she doesn’t know is that this man is different from any man she has known. There’s dragon in his blood. He came to the forest to escape the authorities, and he doesn’t need a witch like Marsha Mallow sniffing around. Getting rid of each other was the plan. Falling in love was not. Their coupling was forbidden, and the consequences will be their undoing. The child they created, a combination of witch and dragon, was born to kill them.
When Madeline returns to The Chateau, a place where many people have been found dead and where Madeline felt a ghostly presence years ago, she discovers the true secret of the old mansion… a seductive spirit that has been waiting years just for her. *** I tried to push him away, but my arms felt heavy. All I wanted was for him to kiss me, to make love to me, to be the woman he thought I was. But I wasn’t her… You are her, a voice inside said with conviction. “You were my mother’s lover,” I gasped out, breaking away again. “How can you tell me that you loved only me?” “I had to find you, no matter how long it took.” He kissed my lips once more, then hugged me close. “Waiting for you to grow up has been hardest of all,” he murmured, with lust in each word. “It was you I felt in that hallway,” I said weakly. “Wasn’t it?” “Yes.” He kissed my face, my lips, and my cheeks. “Do you see now why I could not live with you as a father? I had to wait until you were a woman.”
Life is good for Michael. He’s a college professor, with a girlfriend half his age. So why is he having an affair? Because he can. Then the nightmares come, and visions of demons haunt him until he is nearly driven mad. Is his girlfriend playing tricks on him? Does she suspect the affair? Maybe he feels guilty about bedding a girl barely out of her teens. Or, perhaps his girlfriend decided to teach him a lesson. It’s a dirty job, but someone has to do it. So much to do… so little time. *** He tried to drive the thoughts of the affair from his mind. But it all came back as a fast-paced blur. …… Ashley, drunk on white wine, and depressed because her husband didn't make her feel sexy anymore, sat on the bed next to him, her blonde hair tight in a bun. "I don't know what to do," Ashley said, her voice high-pitched and scared. "I can't give you an answer about your husband, Ashley," he said. For a moment, she was silent, and then she released her bun and blonde hair spilled down her back. Standing up, she pulled off the jacket of her white crème business suit and allowed it to fall to the floor. As she unbuttoned her business shirt underneath, he watched in open mouthed horror as she allowed it to fall open and revealed her large breasts that were barely contained in a lacy black bra. He wasn't sure what to do, and he felt his body react, even if he didn't want it to. "Please do this with me," she begged. His eyes were filled with her body, and he nodded. "What about your husband?" he asked, desperate to find a reason to stop. "We shouldn't do this." She kissed him on the lips and then pulled away, her eyes gleaming. "Let's just not tell him… or Cindy. It'll be okay… our little secret.
