When Annette, the editor of a survivalist magazine, embarks on a weekend getaway up Minnesota’s north shore with her boyfriend Sebastion, events spiral out of control when a gang of rowdy bikers starts to show up at their every stop and pay her more attention than she feels comfortable with. The always-prepared Annette does not believe in coincidences. To further complicate the situation, Annette is also dismayed when Sebastion questions her worries and suggests they are nothing but a result of cutting her PTSD meds. As if in direct rebuttal to his position, the bikers rumble into the same remote B&B as the couple, the gang’s aggressive leader inviting Annette and Sebastion to join them outside at the bonfire for drinks and weed. Feeling cornered, and long ago vowing to never allow an unwanted touch again, Annette’s actions continue to escalate, resulting in an explosion of bloody violence and revenge inspired by her survivalist skills. When the true evil of the situation reveals itself, only Annette’s rage and cunning, no matter her guilt or innocence, can possibly save them.

Following months of negotiations after the seizure of the US Embassy in Tehran on 4 November 1979, President Jimmy Carter ordered the newly formed Delta Force to conduct a raid into Iran to free the hostages. The raid, Operation Eagle Claw, was risky to say the least. US forces would have to fly into the deserts of Iran on C-130s; marry up with carrier-based RH-53D helicopters; fly to hide sites near Tehran; approach the Embassy via trucks; seize the Embassy and rescue the hostages; board the helicopters descending on Tehran; fly to an airbase captured by more US forces; and then fly out on C-141s and to freedom. Unfortunately, and unsurprisingly given the complexity of the mission, things went wrong from the start and when the mission was called off at the refueling site at Desert One, the resulting collision between aircraft killed eight US personnel. This title tells the full story of this tragic operation, supported by maps, photographs, and specially-commissioned bird's-eye-views and battlescenes which reveal the complexity and scale of the proposed rescue and the disaster which followed.

To date, that opportunity has been lost in Rochester, and persistent poor academic outcomes have been one terrible result. Your Children Are Very Greatly in Danger is a history of Rochester with clear relevance for today. The struggle for equity in Rochester, like in many northern cities, shows how the burden of history lies on the present. A better future for these cities requires grappling with their troubled pasts. Murphy's account is a necessary contribution to twenty-first-century Rochester.
