This is a concrete, practical book about spiritual accompaniment. While there may be no shortage of books on this matter, most of these books remain somewhat abstract in the way they highlight the beauty of this ministry and point out its pitfalls. This book instead resembles a toolbox with a user’s manual. In six chapters, the author presents the following tools: ‘there is no rush’, ‘listening by following’, ‘searching for the soul’, ‘going deeper’, ‘evaluating’, and ‘accompanying towards spiritual maturity’. By means of examples and case studies, he demonstrates how these tools may be used to good effect. Two introductory chapters discuss the choice for a practice-oriented book and the core values of an Ignatian approach to spiritual accompaniment. A final chapter specifically focuses on vocational discernment. New spiritual directors can learn from this book the tricks of the trade and experienced directors can be encouraged to reflect upon their own practice. Although it is written from a Roman Catholic, Jesuit background, this book may be used in a wider variety of Christian contexts.

Mañana in Cuba is a comprehensive analysis of contemporary Cuba with an incisive perspective of the Cuban frame of mind and its relevancy for Cuba's future. Part one of the book critically explores the mindset Cubans have developed living under a totalitarian system and introduces modern concepts of choice architecture and governance that can be employed Mañana in Cuba to foster a democratic civil society. Part two turns to a discussion of the principles that should guide sociopolitical and economic transition policies in line with Cuban culture and history. Mañana in Cuba offers a sophisticated analysis of the challenges and opportunities that will be present in post-Castro Cuba with an eye to intelligent, nuanced, and often "outside the box" solutions to aid business and government policymakers interested in Cuba's future. A unique aspect of this book is that it does not seek to unnaturally mend a decimated civil society, but rather, it offers policy approaches anchored on current Cuban ethos and society. This is a book about finding ways to facilitate the Cuban transition from totalitarianism and a centrally planned economy to liberal democracy and a free-market economic system. As the author argues, the alternative visions presented for Cuba's future matter because one of them will crystallize into the sociopolitical and economic narrative of the country for generations to come.

I, José Miguel Báez, an esoteric, apocryphal, philosophical and Kabbalist writer with a College degree in Anthropology from Lehman College brings you the English version of the book, La Filosofía Del Libro De Hermes Mercurio Trismegisto under its English name, The Book of Djehuti and I am also known in Face Book as, Al-Adán Mikael Ben HaKadosh. In my last literary work, I bring you the ancient philosophy of the magical prayers and rituals of the hermetic philosophy of the wisest and most powerful sacred scribe, high priest, magician, hierophant adept and seer of the ancient Egyptians, which I am as the spiritual and psychical Nefer-Ka-Ptah "The Perfect Spirit (Ka) of Ptah "G-d" who stole the "Argha of Thot", the "Blessings of Ishrael" and the philosophy of the infrastructure of a single and global government, banking and monetary system for the benefit of humanity. I would like for every man and woman of the modern world to be able to read, analyze and comprehend my last literary work and its philosophy as the godson of Thoth and Maat, which has become the spiritual embodiment of the "Argha of Thoth" and reveals the most powerful science of them all since I am the most powerful magician, sacred scribe and high priest of the ancient Sumerians, Hebrews, Egyptians, Chaldeans, Persians, Babylonians, Greeks, Romans, Celts, Germanic peoples and the Asians. "I am Thoth and Nefer-Ka-Ptah Imhotep, the one who is the decipherer and the knower of the mysteries of the androgynous G-d within the infinitude of space-time and eternity and its divine and immutable laws and wisdom, the Nahash Baqir, who opens the divine Torat and understands its Kabbalah.
While belief in God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit is at the very core of the Christian faith, the significance of the Spirit in particular is sometimes overlooked in faith practice and theological reflection, resulting in what theologians call Geistvergessenheit. In this context, Lumen Gentium, one of the most important documents of the Second Vatican Council (1962-1965), is usually praised for its pneumatological renewal. The current volume, however, argues that this renewal is no more than modest. The Holy Spirit is still conceived of predominantly as an adjunct to Christ. To substantiate that claim, Jos Moons has developed a novel method of close reading on the basis of which he compares Lumen gentium's conception of the Spirit to that of Mystici corporis (1943). He also analyses the redaction-historical development of the former and concludes with a plea to envisage the Spirit more boldly: as actively guiding the church, especially by means of the sensus fidelium, its charisms and the discernment of spirits"--
