In a federal prison in Polk County, Texas, Winston Butang sits on death row, awaiting lethal injection for his brutal murder and desecration of a pedophilic priest. Butang, better known in the media as the Stigmata Killer, has no reason to believe that anyone will give the eventual outcome much thought. Someone, however, has thought about it a great deal, and Winston is surprised when one of his guards springs him and whisks him off to a secret bunker in the woods. Stranger still is the fact that his liberator, Vincent Veselli, is none other than the illegitimate son of the murdered priest. Veselli, it turns out, had witnessed the butchery of his father and got his job as a death-row guard as part of a long quest to free the man who did what he could not. Things take a further unexpected twist when a catastrophic firestorm sweeps the area, portending some form of Armageddon that has engulfed the continental US. The two emerge from their secret bunker and, together, make their way north across a surreal landscape of death and devastation, but they still make time for a series of explicit intimate encounters that push and pull the plot line.

Book # 1 Shadows And Scars Johnnie Sue Bridges incredible life story began with the release of her first book, the highly acclaimed Shadows And Scars A beautiful story that captures the essence of living in the mountains of Middlesboro, Kentucky, with vivid imagery, comical moments and raw emotion. In one cold blue night, she writes of an already painful world turning into nothing short of a nightmare. Bitter coldness and survival starts the reader on a journey that portrays a young mother's fight against poverty, loneliness, and alcoholism, concluding in the riot-torn and racially divided city of Detroit. Shadows And Scars reveals a birds-eye view of the child that struggled to maintain stability in her hauntingly unstable world. Readers will gain the knowledge of endurance within themselves, despite adversity. The night we left Middlesboro, Kentucky, was a cold blue night. As we past by the stock barn where we had been so many times before in the warmth of a beautiful sunny day, I thought to myself, "Something tells me I will never see this place again." There was no heat in the car, and the bitter icy cold winds blew up through the back seat where Linda Gail and little Junebug sat holding each other, wrapped in a quilt shivering, but without saying a word. We were so cold, and I was so angry. As I silently wept, I must have dozed off. When I woke, it was daylight, and we were in Kenosha, Wisconsin. I looked out the window and my first thought was, "The only difference between this place and Hell is-fire and ice." And if I had thought for one second that Wisconsin was Hell on earth, I was really in for a rude awakening. We arrived in downtown Detroit on a Greyhound bus in the wee hours of the night, right after the riots. Never in all my life had I ever seen such a wretched place. The sequel, book# 2 "Motown Girl Sister Golden Hair " published! Book # 2 Motown Girl Sister Golden Hair, chronicles her roller coaster ride through the early 70's growing up in the inner city of Detroit's Westside. Hitting the teen years during the underground time of extreme change, uprisings, experimenting with everything under the sun, came at a very high price robbery of her self worth and most importantly, the stolen innocence of the ones she dearly loved. Highly educated in cultured urban habit, she was forevermore restless and ran incessantly. And by the grace of God, she eventually changed and escaped. However, some of those she held closest to her heart paid the piper with their lives. In her own words, No one told us that stuff would kill ya. The 3rd sequel "Run BabyGirl Run" Just published! The year was 1973. A fourteen-year-old girl hitchhiked across the country to the Pacific Coast, then back to the Atlantic Ocean. Her mother died when she was only eleven years old and never knowing a father, there had to be a way of validating her very existence and to discover why she was on this planet. The answers were all around her; however, she would not be able to recognize them until years later. Meeting with many life-threatening situations, it's a thousand wonders she is still alive to tell her story. Run BabyGirl Run is written with gutwrenching honesty and allows the reader to see into the very depths of this beautiful young girl's soul. Editor: Jackie Hurst Johnnie Sue Bridges

Be Inspired by Amazing Eyewitness Stories of Hope and Courage from the Persecuted Church We are witnessing an astonishing escalation in Christian persecution like we have rarely seen since the first century. Some estimate that every five minutes, a Christian is martyred for his or her faith. Countries like Egypt have experienced more Christian persecution in the last five years than in the previous six hundred years combined. And who could have missed the atrocities of ISIS in Syria, Boko Haram in Nigeria, and the continued persecution of Christians in North Korea? Johnnie Moore, like many American Christians, didn't fully appreciate the extent of what was going on--until he witnessed the graduation of theology students in India. Unlike graduation ceremonies in America--where feel-good speeches made by visiting celebrities are common--this one featured a remarkable oath. It wasn't an oath to excel or succeed. It was an oath to be willing to die, if necessary, for the cause of Christ. This was no empty promise. This was a choice, choosing the eternal over the temporal. Johnnie knew he was witnessing a raw, first-century Christianity that his comfortable American version had shielded him from. "For the first time, I really understand my faith," says Johnnie Moore. Now, he's on a mission to give this same experience to others. He and his team have crisscrossed the world, recorders in hand, gathering eyewitness accounts from dozens of people who survived persecution--and the stories of some who didn't. Join Johnnie Moore on this compelling journey to the heart of the Christian faith.
Here Am I, Here Am I By: Johnnie Wayne Jordan For three years Johnnie Wayne Jordan studied the Bible diligently, most days for ten or twelve hours, any time he could find the time. Something had him transfixed—he had to read the Bible, even if it meant missing meal calls. He didn’t understand it at first but was reminded of what David says in the Psalms: “I esteem thy word, O Lord, more than my necessary food.” But God was letting him experience his word. Who was this who interrupted his prayer? Scripture says in Romans 8:26: “Likewise the spirit also helpeth our infirmities; for we know not what we should pray for as we ought; but the spirit itself maketh intercession for us helpeth our infirmities; for we know not what we should pray for as we ought; but the spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groaning which cannot be uttered.” We don’t know how to pray, but the spirit of Jesus had interceded in his prayer. It was Jesus praying in his stead! Romans 8:16: “The spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God….”
This ancillary booklet to The Martyr’s Oath will introduce people to the scope and depth of the persecution of Christians in today’s world. Christians are in a fight for their lives in the Middle East, Africa, and even in parts of Asia. For Western Christians, who typically run into cultural pressures to remain silent about their faith, this type of persecution is difficult to fully comprehend. This convenient and short book, 10 Things You Must Know about the Global War on Christianity, will outline the steps Christians need to take in order to understand what is going on, and also to pray intelligently for our brothers and sisters in need.
There is a lot of misinformation and vitriol being spewed out on a consistent basis in the past several years about Alcoholics Anonymous and 12-Step Programs in general. A google search of "12-Step fraud" yields 139,000 results. Even a google search "defending Alcoholics Anonymous" resulted in overwhelmingly negative articles. I have seen incredible transformations take place due to 12-Step programs (not to mention my own). I have also seen people make positive changes in other ways. However, in my opinion, the 12-Step method is still the "gold standard" and best overall because it addresses the spirit; I believe that is the most powerful and effective (albeit mysterious) approach. AA is a humble organization that sits quietly on the sidelines and does not endeavor to participate in debates of any kind. It accepts no outside contributions and takes no position on outside issues. The way AA operates is exemplary.
