In Flight Attendant Joe, Joe hands his readers a boarding pass into the turbulent world of the airline industry. This book takes off with chaotic delays, irate passengers, crazy pilots, and egos big enough to destroy friendships. Nothing is off limits in this comical collection of true-life drama that occurs at 38,000 feet, and anywhere else Joe finds himself.
In his debut book, 'Fasten Your Seat Belts And Eat Your F*cking Nuts', Joe Thomas - aka Flight Attendant Joe - takes you on an inappropriate storytelling journey about what really happens while you sit comfortably (unless you are in a middle seat, in that case - he's sorry) onboard a climate controlled airplane while sucking down cups of soda, snacking on unsalted peanuts, and playing dumb when you get caught smoking in the lavatory. Have you ever wondered what happens behind the scenes at 38,000 feet? Does the thought of banging a flight attendant intrigue you? What about a pilot? Do you regularly attempt at eavesdropping on flight attendant conversations while waiting to use the lavatory on a red-eye flight? If so, then this book was written for you. Nobody said traveling was easy and Joe Thomas has the stories to prove it. 'Fasten Your Seat Belts And Eat Your Fucking Nuts' will make you hungry for more than just another bag of pretzels. Each page drips with gossip, drama, and his own personal confrontations with passengers and coworkers that will leave you gasping for air one minute, and then busting out laughing the next. Joe's honest, heartwarming, - dick-slapping-in-your-face-comedy - will have you turning pages quicker than a hooker turns tricks.
Love it or hate it - networking is a must regardless of the type of business you are in. And, whether you realize it or not, you network every day without even thinking about it. Every time you introduce yourself - you have the potential to make a contact. Networking events offer an opportunity to introduce yourself and your business to a select, targeted group of people. These people are potential clients, links to job opportunities, or sources of referrals. How you introduce yourself makes an impression on them and determines whether or not they actually remember you. Everybody Knows Joe is intended to help you maximize those contacts and create more meaningful relationships.

With an appreciative and sensitive hand, Joe Thomas has located and interpreted Lesslie Newbigin's theology of religious plurality and his vision for dialogue among people of diverse faiths. This book is a benchmark for all that follows." --George R. This is no ordinary book of poetry. It’s about two people in love who later got married and continued to share their thoughts and emotions with us. I appreciate so many of you sharing your thoughts with me. The possibilities are limitless. I thank God for my lovely wife, companion, and best friend, Karen. Many of the poems are about her. Beware, some of the poems may contain adult language, but not like TV or the movies. All the poems were written before and after our marriage. For several years, I have wanted to write a book of poetry. I think you will be intrigued by the simplicity of these poems. Part 1 deals with poems that I have written to Karen over the past seventeen years and some other inspirational poems as well. Part 2 deals with motivational poems and passionate writings that I think you will enjoy. Some of the poems may be a little risqué, but nothing like TV or movies of today. Having written fictional books, inspirational books, religious books, motivational books, this was a real challenge. But I love poetry and classical prose. Hopefully, you will find a favorite poem that you like. This book is filled with passion, energy, and vitality. Enjoy!
In a world gone mad with standardized curricula and the degradation of the profession of teaching, P. L. Thomas and Joe Kincheloe attempt to bring sanity back to the discussion of the teaching of some of the basic features of the educational process. In Reading, Writing, and Thinking: The Postformal Basics the authors take on the “rational irrationality” of current imperial pedagogical practices, providing readers with provocative insights into the bizarre assumptions surrounding the contemporary teaching of reading, writing, and thinking.
The partnership between India and Taiwan is situated in a virtual maze of complex political factors. Given the core issue of contestation of Taiwan’s political status in world affairs and India’s adherence to the “One China” policy, the relationship remains a fragile one for both partners. In recent years, Taiwan has signed the Cross-Strait Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement (ECFA) with Mainland China. Increasingly, its political and economic future (including its relationships with countries such as India) will continue to be linked with Mainland China. This book closely examines the partnership between India and Taiwan within the new post-ECFA setting that Taiwan finds itself in. It explicates the shifts and continuities in Taiwan’s economic relationship with Mainland China, discusses how partnership with India could become a crucial pivot of Taiwan’s foreign policy in the coming years, and argues why this partnership is vital for the “take-off ” of India’s own economic growth targets. The book identifies specific avenues for India and Taiwan to benefit from the economic growth success stories that they have come to represent over these years and outlines policy realignments that could allow India and Taiwan to best realize their mutuality of interests.
