Do you believe that the essence of our Salvation is Spiritual Maturity? We are spiritually mature when we “grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18, KJV). Do you know that wisdom and knowledge are related but not synonymous? Wisdom is “the ability to discern or judge what is true, right, or lasting” (The Gospel); Knowledge, is “information gained through experience, reasoning, or acquaintance.” No one (none of us) is born wise; we must acquire and can only acquire wisdom from God. The Bible urges us often to seek wisdom above all things; “The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom, and whatever you get, get insight” (Proverbs 4:7, ESV). Knowledge can exist without wisdom, but wisdom cannot exist with knowledge. One can be knowledgeable without being wise. Knowledge is when you know you should hear the word and the importance of it; Wisdom is hearing and knowing how and when to use it (Word) and how to live it. In order for us to obey Him and be in obedience, God wants us to have knowledge of Him and His commands, as of His word. Our knowledge begins when we fear God. If we lack or despise wisdom, we are foolish and not knowledgeable. Wisdom is a gift from God. Scriptures tell us, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him” James 1:5 (ESV). Just knowing the Bible and facts about God is not all there is to wisdom. God blesses us with wisdom; for us to use the knowledge we have of Him, in order for us to glorify Him. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction” (Proverbs 1:7, KJV). In our Spiritual Maturity, let us fear God; and let us not be foolish but wise and knowable, pleasing God. This book, teaches us; giving one an understanding and affords us the opportunity to be blessed and favored with wisdom. It expresses and confirms who we are in Christ Jesus. ‘I Am’ ‘The Church’ Of The Great “I AM”. To God be the Glory!!!
The Chief Shepherd knows exactly what is needed for His flock to flourish – good shepherds! And that is precisely what He gave to His church on the day He ascended on high (Ephesians 4:8-12). Further, in His word, He has provided a complete shepherd’s handbook that outlines exactly how such shepherds can shepherd well. For stupid shepherds who ignore His counsel, there will be sadness and loss (Jeremiah 10:21). But for those who hear and do what He prescribes, these good shepherds will someday stand before the Chief Shepherd and receive an unfading crown of glory (1 Peter 5:4). What a promise! Jim Fleming has spent over four decades studying and ministering as a local church shepherd. Now he is passing along what he has learned as his legacy. He hopes that those who read and practice what is in this book will manifest what Jesus expects of His shepherds. For those who do, Pastor Fleming anticipates a fixed and future day when a host of shepherds will join him as they bask in joy before their Chief Shepherd. Shepherdology 101 will help get you ready for this glorious moment.

Lords or Servants is a refreshing look at the Scriptures as they reveal God's plan for leadership in the church. Learn what the Scriptures say about authority in the church. What are the various leadership roles in the church and how are they to be administered? What is the meaning of ""servant leadership? Learn the answers to many questions regarding God's plan for leadership in His church. To most people the term ""servant leadership"" is an oxymoron. In virtually every culture, servants are not leaders and leaders are never considered lowly servants. Yet, that is the concept Jesus introduced as the pattern for His Church. While most religious leaders often use the term, their leadership style is often far from the Biblical model of a servant leader. The concept in Scripture comes from the ancient cultural role of ""elders"" in extended family structures and one of the most common occupations of the day, tending sheep. The term ""elder"" by definition, simply refers to an older person in years. It was not a position to which one was appointed or elected, rather one earned by living a long time (hence the term ""elder"") and earning the respect of the extended family to represent them in whatever issues arose that needed a family representative. Elders in New Testament churches were appointed by the apostles or preachers to serve as ""bishops"" or ""overseers,"" but they were ""elders"" because they were the older, respected members of the church community, hence ones whom others would admire and follow. The role of the older person (elder) selected to a leadership role in the church was that of a ""pastor"" or ""shepherd."" Both of these terms referred to one who tends sheep. Nobody in Old or New Testament times would have thought of a shepherd as a person of authority who occupied a great position of leadership. Exactly the opposite. Shepherds occupied one of the lowest rungs on the social order of the day. They were servants...usually tending someone else's sheep. They had no authority over anyone. They did not even ""command"" the sheep, because that is impossible. Anyone who knows the nature of sheep knows they cannot be commanded or driven. However, a gentle, loving shepherd who earns their respect and trust can lead sheep anywhere. This is precisely why the Apostle Peter said to the early church leaders, ""Be shepherds of God's flock that is under your care, watching over them--not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock."" Lords or Servants examines in detail the Biblical concept of servant leadership, specifically the role of elders, deacons, and ministers in the local church. It is a concept that is foreign to our modern culture, but the only one that works. Most church problems are a result of the perversion of God's leadership style. Discussions about positions of authority are as out of place in the church of our Lord today as similar discussions would have been in a group of shepherds during Biblical times. All authority in heaven and on earth belongs to the King of Kings...Jesus. The rest of us are servants in His kingdom. Lords or Servants just may give you an entirely new view of leadership in all areas of life. It is the model of the Son of God... worth emulating. Lords or Servants is recommended for all Christians, not just leaders.
One name above all names makes the greatest difference in our lives. Yahweh is Gods name. A name God chose to reveal for the first time to His servant Moses at a burning bush in the Sinai desert. The sacred name Yahweh means I AM. Through His name God reveals Himself as the One who meets every human need. He is saying to every person, I AM whatever you need to become all I want you to be. The name Yahweh occurs over 6,800 times in the Old Testament. Many of these occurrences are combinations of Yahweh with other terms, revealing specific ways in which God reaches out to make a difference in His people. In What a Difference a Name Makes, author Jim Harvey guides readers to understand and make personal application of these special combination names. Further insights are offered by discovering that the name Jesus in Hebrew is Yeshua, a name that means Yahweh is salvation. One interesting chapter of this book is devoted to a study of the claims Jesus made regarding Himself as I AM the Bread of Life, I AM the Light of the World, I AM the Alpha and the Omega, and many others. Val Harvey provides a helpful Study Guide with each of the thirteen chapters of the book. Bible students who are interested in individual or group study settings will find these guides of practical value in gaining more understanding of Gods nature and His purpose for us.

To know the real Jesus is absolutely critical to our lives and eternal destiny. A thorough examination of Scriptures will reveal that there are many more facets to who He is and what He has done for us than most people realize. To place our confidence in some false representation of Jesus will only grant our adversary, the devil, opportunity to deceive and eventually destroy us. Jesus Himself warned that in the last days there would arise false christs and false prophets. It is our job to reveal the true Jesus, so that those who hear might believe in Him. This book is exactly that; an in-depth look into the multi-faceted person of Jesus Christ. It will inspire you, quite possibly surprise you, and ultimately build you up in your faith in the God who is the creator of all things. Jesus is God's Gift to Man and the Creator of all things. He is the Image of the Invisible God. He is the Author and Finisher of Faith. He is also the Shepherd of our Soul. He is the Prince of Peace and yet He is also called a Refiner's Fire. He is known as the Lamb of God but also the Lion from the tribe of Judah. He is Lord of an eternal, inexorable Kingdom, and the King of heaven and earth. But he is a King Who is also a Priest, full of mercy and grace. Each of these aspects of who He is has significant implications in our lives.
Who is "the One" in your life who needs to know God's love? The One, a study of Luke 15 by Jim and Jennifer Cowart will help you discover your "One". As believers, we are called to share the love and message of Christ with those who don’t know him. We mean to share Christ, we really do. But then we get busy with other things—even as the church! But what if a subtle shift in focus could reignite a passion within you and your church for reaching the lost? What if instead of trying to reach “them” you began to focus on simply reaching “the One”—that person in your life who is far from God and needs to know his love? This study explores Luke 15, where Jesus tells three stories about rejoicing when lost things are found—specifically, a lost sheep, a lost coin, and two lost sons. First, we will discover that we are “the One” who is dearly loved and sought after by God, and then we will join together in Jesus’s mission to seek after “the One” in our own lives with intentionality, perseverance, and joy. This study is not about taking people on as a project—no one wants that. It’s about rediscovering the heart of God and his passion for going after those who are far from him. Components for this study, each available separately, include a participant book, leader guide, and video sessions/DVD.
At the time Peter wrote this epistle, many Christians were facing persecution. Early Christians found themselves engaged in constant conflict with authoritarian structures and, as a result, many began to capitulate and collaborate with the enemy. The primary root cause: they did not know who they were as members of the body of the Anointed One. Nearly two thousand years have passed, and the body of the Anointed One in America find themselves in the same situation. There is a backlash against the Christian church in the United States. We have awakened and found that our hope is not in any political party or process. We suddenly find ourselves politically incorrect in an increasingly hostile environment. We must first know who we are in the Anointed One. This book is a verse-by-verse study of this epistle with a view to show us who we are and how we live.
John was one of three disciples considered the inner circle of Jesus ministry and also referred to the one that Jesus loved. He had a special relationship with Jesus and he wrote his entire account of Jesus’ life and ministry to show “that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name” (John 20:31). He loved Jesus with all his heart and understood love and wrote about love. The love of God toward humankind and he was determined to show that love in such a way that as many people as possible could experience that love for themselves. Therefore, this book is about explaining John’s understanding of the love of God towards His people.
Today’s world has brought awareness of where we are going and with it anxiety. Thinking people advocate looking for a new direction to take. Ordinary people feel that their lives could be much better. We see need and inequality on our doorstep and everywhere. Public conscience is pricked, but people feel unable to do anything. Politicians struggle to balance conflicting demands and policies. Quality of living has gone out of our lives. People ask, where is God? A better question is, where are we, in relation to God? Prayer for tomorrow’s world brings out fundamental things to rethink and put right. It looks at what the Bible has to say. The book stimulates our thoughts, as we seek God’s way into a future that he can bless.
When I was in High School in the early 1960s, I was taught there was nothing more that needed to happen before the rapture of the saints and that the tribulation could come at any time. If that was the case, what was God waiting for? So my wife and I have read many books on end time events since we were married. But they all seemed to repeat what I learned in high school. So there is a great thing God does. He equips the called. That is what he did with me. God is the true author of this book. When I didn’t know a word or have any idea how to proceed, I prayed and God allowed the words to flow and gave me understanding. That is how this book came to be. About ten years ago, I started serious research on the subject. I found the answers were not as I was taught during my high school years. The more I studied, the more truth I found. I decided to put what I learned into a book to teach others the real truth about the tribulation and what will happen in the Last Days. They say what you don’t know can’t hurt you. I found out that’s a lie. There are things you need to know before the tribulation starts. This book is about the Tribulation, culminating in the Battle of Armageddon, and the 1000 reign of Christ on Earth, occurring in the near future.
Jesus said, And this is life eternal, that they should know thee the only true God, and him whom thou didst send, even Jesus Christ (John 17:3). But the question is, how is it possible to know God? How can we know someone who is infinite and eternal when we cannot see him, feel him, hear him, or sense his presence? We see clearly from the creation that there is a God, or else this world could not exist (Romans 1:20). We know from the Bible that God is a loving Father who is the Creator of all things. But there is a way we can know God more intimately and more perfectly. We can know God by knowing his Son, the very one whom God sent to us as the Savior and redeemer of this lost worldhis name is Jesus, and he is the Almighty Jehovah God himself. We can know Jesus intimately as our best friend (John 15:15), and our brother (Hebrews 2:1114), and our Father (Isaiah 9:67; John 10:30, 14:611), because even though he is God, he became one of us exactly, a man, just like all other men (Hebrews 2:1418). He lived in this present world exactly as we live in it. So whatever we learn by studying Jesus, his teachings, and his life, we are learning about our loving Father, our God, and our Creator.
Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, and Rudy Vallee—these cultural icons whose fame spanned all the important mass media, also played a vital role in the origin and development of the crooning tradition. Crooning represented one of the most important musical styles of the twentieth century, intermingling with jazz and fronting the big band craze of the thirties and forties. Crooners spurred the rise of radio as home staple and the Golden Age of film musicals. When commercial television became a viable commodity, crooners anchored perhaps the first TV programming innovation, the variety show. It took the cataclysmic aesthetic and cultural changes ushered in by rock 'n' roll in the 1950s to finally bring crooners down from their pedestal. The Rise of the Crooners examines the historical trends and events that led to the emergence of the crooning style. Ian Whitcomb, a successful popular music vocalist himself for almost 40 years, provides a personal perspective on this phenomenon. The lives and careers of six pioneers of the style—Bing Crosby, Russ Columbo, Gene Austin, Rudy Vallee, Johnny Marvin, and Nick Lucas—are covered at length. With the exception of one entry devoted to Crosby—possibly the greatest entertainer of the past century—these biographies (appended by lengthy bibliographies and discographies) are more thorough and up-to-date than any treatment in print about these seminal artists.
Stained glass reached the height of its popularity in the Victorian period. But how did it become so popular and who was involved in this remarkable revival? The enthusiasm for these often exquisite pieces of artwork spread from specialist groups of antiquarians and architects to a much wider section of the Victorian public. By looking at stained glass from the perspective of both glass-painter and patron, and by considering how stained glass was priced, bought and sold, this enlightening study traces the emergence of the market for stained glass in Victorian England. Thus it contains new insights into the Gothic Revival and the relationship between architecture and the decorative arts. Beautifully illustrated with colour plates and black and white illustrations, this book will be valuable to those interested in stained glass and the wider world of Victorian art.

Jesses turn to crime after the end of the Civil War helped cement his place in American history as a simple but remarkably effective bandit. Displaced by reconstruction, the antebellum political leadership mythologized Jesses exploits. During the time before and after his death, he became the subject of dime novels, which set him up as pre-industrial models of resistance. During the populist and progressive eras, was when Jesse became a symbol as Americas Robin Hood, standing up against corporate syndicates in defense of the small farmer. Protrayals in the 1950s pictured Jesse as a psychologically troubled individual rather than a social rebel. Some filmmakers portrayed the former outlaw as being vindictive, replacing social with exclusively personal motives. It was only shortly after Jesses death, that in his afterlife, he began to discover ways to effectuate his desire for vengeance. Revenge on those who betrayed him. Revenge on those who sought his death. What price could one put on a Mothers arm?a little Brothers life?A Wifes suffering? Yesand on his own life!!

The Book of Life takes a fresh look at redemption and uses it as a guide for approaching both personal issues of spirituality and societal issues of politics. By stretching its embrace widely, it enables the reader to learn how individuals can get to heaven and how the people of the United States can solve their country's most persistent problems. By drawing on the imagery of runners in a race, following the example of Paul the apostle, Jim Hester looks at life as a contest between two ways: humanity's way and God's way. The line of thought in The Book of Life explores these two concepts, incorporating the six main sections of the Bible and the six days before Jesus's death and interpreting them in light of six different topics: problems, ideas, goals, attitudes, events and people.
A fully revised and updated version of the classic work on the origins of animal agriculture and our longstanding contempt for and hatred of nature and animals. In 1993, Jim Mason, journalist, advocate, and pioneering figure in the contemporary animal advocacy movement, published An Unnatural Order—a sweeping overview of the origins of our hatred and destruction of the natural world and its creatures, from the dawn of agriculture to the present day. Now fully revised and updated to reflect developments in paleoanthropology and ethology, as well as greater awareness of, and urgency regarding, the climate crisis, An Unnatural Order offers an expansive overview of what has changed (both for good and for ill) and what has unfortunately remained the same. His message is clear: until we grapple with the question of the animal, and our relationship with animality and the natural world, we will not be able to confront the consequences of our perpetuation of environmental destruction, biodiversity collapse, and our alienation from the Earth and one another. As brilliantly polemical and richly descriptive as it was when it was published almost three decades ago, this new version of An Unnatural Order is sure to excite a passionate debate about our role in either saving the ecosystems upon which all species (including our own) rely, or bringing it all to an end.
