The 5th Special Forces Group was activated on September 21, 1961. On March 3rd, 1971, the Group Colors were returned from Vietnam to Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, However, during those years, one of the smallest units in the Vietnam Conflict had twenty-one campaign ribbons and eighteen Medals of Honor. Eight of them posthumously. This story is about a group of men who did things daily with no thought of recognition or concern for their own safety. These young men did things in a war that needed to be done and whose sacrifice went un-noticed by the American people for decades and who did not care about a group of men highly trained, highly motivated, extremely patriotic, and knew more about causing the destruction of an enemy than any other soldier in history. Even more, it is about men who never came home; the people who left them behind, and the family of traitors who killed so many Americans. The damage they did will never be told to the American Public and is only known by a few.
