The day that his father walked out of the house and out of his life is a day that Jeffrey Johnson will never forget. But he also will not forget how his mother-a young woman then just thirty years old-continued faithfully to care for her family of four young children. He saw her day after day work hard to provide for the family, continue her education to move forward in her profession, and give her children a life of love, peace, and joy. The most important thing she did for them was to entrust them into the care of their loving heavenly Father, and to provide an atmosphere in which God could work in their lives. In Dialogue with Single Parents, Jeffrey Johnson brings together the lessons he learned growing up in a single-parent household with lessons from the Word of God. He shows clearly that God has something to say to single parents, and that God desires to help them to do more than just survive their circumstances-God wants them to thrive. This book offers inspiration and practical guidance to empower single parents to experience all that God has for them and their children. Author Bio: JEFFREY A. If we are not living abundant lives, how do we reclaim our lives in Christ? Jesus said, in John 10:10, "The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy; I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." Yet, so many Christians fail to live an abundant life; in fact, too often they are just getting by, just struggling to survive. But God has so much more for us! Many of us have sat passively and watched as the enemy of our souls has come, like a thief, stealing away our joy, killing our bodies, and destroying our families. We have lost the abundance in our lives that Christ died to give us. We allowed it to be taken from us while we watched apathetically, as though we were only spectators of our own lives-not followers of a risen, active, triumphant Christ. The time for sitting still and bemoaning our lot in life is over. God has empowered us to reclaim what we've lost. We can get our lives back! Get our health back! Get our minds back! Get our families back! Get our joy back! We do not have to wallow in defeat. We can make a comeback! JEFFREY A. JOHNSON, SR. is senior pastor of Eastern Star Church in Indianapolis, Indiana, a position he has held for over twenty years. This is a church "Where Jesus is Exalted, and the Word is Explained." More important to him than the size of his church, the titles he holds or the places he's been, he wants people to know that he loves Jesus. He and his wife Sharon Henry Johnson are the parents of four sons. This is his second book, following The Song of Solomon: Love, Sex and Relationships.
Babies are born, but men are made. This boo, by a father of four sons, draws upon the biblical example of King Josiah to illustrate how that transformation happens. "The Making of a King" provides both information and inspiration to boys and men in that process, and to all those who are trying to help turn boys into men.

A comprehensive resource on case studies of marketed kinase drugs and promising drug trials Since the discovery of protein kinase activity in 1954, the field of protein kinase drug discovery has advanced dramatically. With the ongoing clinical success of the Bcr-Abl kinase inhibitor Gleevec in the treatment of chronic myelogenous leukemia and seven additional marketed kinase inhibitor drugs, researchers have compelling evidence that kinase inhibitors can be highly efficacious in the treatment of diseases caused by aberrant activity of protein kinase. Currently more than 100 protein kinase inhibitors are in clinical development. In one comprehensive volume, the editors, Dr. Rongshi Li and Dr. Jeffrey Stafford, present timely and important case studies of marketed kinase drugs and several of the most advanced kinase inhibitors in clinical trials. On a warm July day in 1979, a sixteen-year-old named Jeffrey Carrier visited the old Donnelly Cemetery in Johnson County, Tennessee, a rural county in the northeast corner of the state. He was there for more than an hour, wandering from stone to stone, writing down every name, date and epitaph. It was the beginning of a project that took him six years to complete, and when it was done, he had visited 282 cemeteries in the county and recorded more than 10,000 names. The information was published in 1985 and has been aiding genealogists and historians ever since. The original edition was a limited printing, and most of those copies have fallen apart and are no longer extant. Except for another limited printing in 2012, the book has mostly been unavailable for use. This professionally-printed edition changes that, as the information is now available to everyone, everywhere who can trace their family roots back to Johnson County, Tennessee or who has an interest in cemeteries.
