This resource is written specifically for Units 3A and 3B of the Outdoor Education Course in accordance with Curriculum Council guidelines. The content is written in student-friendly language to assist understanding of more complex theories and models that underpin Outdoor Education at this level. The resource presents a range of activities in which students learn to analyse their own and others¿ skills. Reflective activities provide opportunities to work independently or in groups, inviting students to synthesise and consider new ideas, skills and technologies that may be applied in the outdoors. Critical thinking is developed as students are challenged to use their leadership skills in a range of contexts related to participants and their safety within the environment.
