Letting the reader get to know the protagonist before he knows who he is himself is an interesting device. Amnesia has been so over-used by writers and dramatists that employing it again, in a new book, really does require justification; but it works in this one. For men's adventure fans, ?HE NEVER SAID HE WOULDN?T? should do well.

Attempted suicide began to increase inexorably in western societies following World War II. In Britain, it reached epidemic proportions in 1976 when 120,000 cases were reported. More accurately termed “self-poisoning” as the majority of cases involve deliberate, non-fatal overdosing on pills, this remarkable social-medical phenomenon remains without any generally accepted explanation. First published in 1992, Women and Attempted Suicide suggests that two factors have contributed to this failure, the neglect of gender issues and the influence of psychiatry on explanations of deviant behaviour. The book offers a new psycho-social explanation based on the theory of Causal Attribution. This suggests that as a result of their socialization, individuals differ in the causes to which they attribute their problems and that some causal attributions are more helpful than others in coping with problems. The volume argues that certain women – and others such as the unemployed and underprivileged who may have limited control over their lives – acquire a “helpless” attributional style. This renders them less able to cope with adversity, more likely to turn to doctors when it befalls them, and more likely to be prescribed psychotropic drugs. When pills fail to solve problems, helplessness may turn to hopelessness and self-poisoning. This book will be of interest to students and researchers in many disciplines and particularly of psychology, medical sociology, and women studies.

As in many stories, this one has twists and turns, happiness, sadness, reality, farce, and most importantly the way life really is whether your beliefs or values are moral or not. People will shit on you. I’ve broken this novel into sections; the beginning a little shot with some humor and the foundations for what my life became and is today. The story progresses into a normal young adult life with a twist and then right into young teen life where my life really began to change. As a young adult I became aware, as many do, of money, fame and sexuality. Adult life raised a whole new adventure to my credo of “wow” I can do this and get away with that? True, but not always the correct methods of getting there, wherever there is. I’ll be telling the stories of my experiences in the entertainment industry from 1967 until I left Las Vegas in 1992. Then a renewed life from 1992 until today. One of my motto’s: no matter what you do, things really don’t change and people are the same no matter where or when you associate with them. It is what it is! This is a must read for everyone. Most will either say: I’m making it up or it’s too hard to believe one Great Poster could do all that I’ve done in my life time. As my parents would say, “ENJOY.”

Third, the assimilation Americans demand from immigrants matches patterns of integration that Hispanic and Asian immigrants overwhelmingly follow. These tables are complete which means that the author has run through all the states of the following configurations: p2, p3, d2, d3, d4, d5, f2, f3, f4, f5, f6, f7 for multiparticle systems with central symmetry.Double tensor operators wk1k2 have been chosen in these calculations, for a number of reasons. First of all, they are the most general type of spherical tensor operators and, since they are normalized, they are the most convenient to use. Secondly, they have been very frequently used in many areas of physics, most notably in nuclear, atomic, molecular and solid state physics. There are also tabulated conversion factors to enable the use of these tables for other types of definitions of tensor operators.
