This is a compilation of the medical histories of 425 Confederate generals. It does not analyze the effects of an individual's medical problems on a battle or the war, but provides information about factors that may have contributed to the wound, injury, or illness, and the outcome.

Based on comprehensive interviews with survivors, extensive military records, as well as personal letters, diaries and photographs, the full story is revealed behind the deadly truck bomb that exploded at the U.S. Marine Corp barracks in Beirut, Lebanon in 1983.

By 1779, 15 percent of the Continental Army were former slaves, while the Navy recruited both free men and slaves.
